Keyway cutting on the shaper

A practice run cutting a keyway with the shaper, more work needed !

Tool stickout from the bar must be absolutely minimal, and tool needs side relief as well. Hope this helps!

It seems your clapper box isn't locked. If so with that length of projection forward the cutting forces will not stop the clapper box from opening (tool lifting).
