Afternoon Kelly you and Jeremy from Lake Worth, Florida. I enjoy viewing your videos on so many topics whether growing techniques, showing what's blooming in the shade house and home visits to local plant and orchid growers. Kelly it is clear you enjoy making these easy to follow growing videos for your viewers. I have a few Catasetum orchids and they are over two years old. They bloomed many times. New green roots are popping up out of the sphagnum moss and are outgrowing their plastic clear pots. Please consider making a re-pot video for myself and other viewers. Respectfully,

@@dsiegel22 Aloha Debbie! I’m so glad you enjoy my videos. I’ve been trying to get creative to bring everyone more videos and I definitely enjoy doing educational videos also. I spoke to Jeremy awhile ago about your request and he said he might have a catasetum that needs repotting. So hopefully we can do that video soon. Mahalo for watching and I appreciate your comments and video requests 🤙🏽

Hi Kelly. It is interesting to see the casual approach Jeremy takes to deflasking. I particularly noticed that he didn't mention putting the plants into any kind of sanitising solution after taking them out of the flask. I've watched a lot of deflasking videos and it seems Jeremy doesn't seem to worry too much, it's like he toughens them up right from the start and I like that idea. The plastic bottles are a great idea, much safer than smashing a glass bottle. Thanks so much to you and Jeremy for showing us his method of deflasking.

@@renatecormick7399 Aloha Renate! I have watched a few other deflasking videos and I expected to see something similar, so I was pleasantly surprised to see how simple and easy Jeremy made it. Before seeing that, I thought to myself I’m probably not going to attempt to purchase flask because it’s just too much work. But after watching how Jeremy did it, I definitely feel confident that I can do it. I also liked that this one came in a plastic bottle, so much safer. Mahalo for watching 🤙🏽

Thank you for sharing this! I am raising some cattleyas that I took out of a flask in March. They are doing okay but they don't look nearly as nice as those from Akatsuka! Wow, I wanted to pickle those in sugar and vinegar and have them for my next BBQ! 😂 Mine won't bloom as soon as Jeremy's, and I'm sure I will have a greater percentage of loss. Really good to pick up on things I might have done differently. I was afraid to get rid of the agar completely, for instance, and I definitely don't have them in the shade. Very cool to see.

Hi Kelly, that was great, u guys make me laugh plus the bloopers were the best 😂😂. Didn’t know anything about the flasks but now I have to ask were u get the plants to put in there and how do I get them in there😳. Probably a dumb question. And do you put a little water for humidity and how long do u keep them in there. Geez that was a mouth full. Thank you guys, I really enjoyed it💚💚💚❤️❤️❤️

@@lindagrabner4186 Aloha Linda! The bloopers were too good for me not to include 🤣 As far as the flask go, it came from Akatsuka Orchid Garden on the Big Island. I don’t have experience in what goes into making flask but I heard it’s pretty complicated. I would like to learn one day but don’t know if I have the patience for it. I’m glad you enjoyed the video though, I had fun making it 😂 Mahalo for watching 🤙🏽
