  • Ringing in the new year with an arrangement of Auld Lang Syne and a few low Bbs. Auld Lang Syne means "days gone by," and I missed my pizza after I ate it. So I was sad and gave it a viking funeral. Then I remembered I still had things (red pepper flakes and parmesan cheese) to remember it by.
    The pizza is a metaphor.
    To follow Joel Chapman:

    Text by Robert Burn:
    Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
    and never brought to mind?
    Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
    and auld lang syne?
    CHORUS:
    For auld lang syne, my jo,
    for auld lang syne,
    we'll tak' a cup o' kindness yet,
    for auld lang syne.
    And surely ye'll be your pint-stoup!
    and surely I'll be mine!
    And we'll tak' a cup o’ kindness yet,
    for auld lang syne.
    We twa hae run about the braes,
    and pou'd the gowans fine;
    But we've wander'd mony a weary fit,
    sin' auld lang syne.
    We twa hae paidl'd in the burn,
    frae morning sun till dine;
    But seas between us braid hae roar'd
    sin' auld lang syne.
    And there's a hand, my trusty fiere!
    and gie's a hand o' thine!
    And we'll tak' a right gude-willie waught,
    for auld lang syne.
    Should old acquaintance be forgot,
    and never brought to mind?
    Should old acquaintance be forgot,
    and old lang syne?
    For auld lang syne, my dear,
    for auld lang syne,
    we'll take a cup of kindness yet,
    for auld lang syne.
    And surely you'll buy your pint cup!
    and surely I'll buy mine!
    And we'll take a cup o' kindness yet,
    for auld lang syne.
    We two have run about the slopes,
    and picked the daisies fine;
    But we've wandered many a weary foot,
    since auld lang syne.
    We two have paddled in the stream,
    from morning sun till dine;
    But seas between us broad have roared
    since auld lang syne.
    And there's a hand my trusty friend!
    And give me a hand o' thine!
    And we'll take a right good-will draught,
    for auld lang syne.

      Repent and trust in Jesus. We all deserve Hell for our sins, such as lying lusting coveting and more. We can't save ourselves, but Jesus can save us. He died on the cross to save us for our sins and rose from the grave defeating death and Hell. You must put your faith in him only. He is the only way to Heaven. Repent and trust in Jesus.

    Absolutely delightful!! Definitely loved the low notes (and the rest of them!). I was enjoying the sound so much that I did a double-take with the pizza funeral... XD

    Great arrangement and Nice Bb1's my man!! Truly you've got a flexible voice. What's your lowest note you have , all the time? ( without morning voice).

    • @joelchapmanmusic
      @joelchapmanmusic  4 года назад

      B, Bb is consistent. Anything lower requires a very early call :)
      Of course, voices always change, so this is true for now, and that's all I can say. My voice at 28 is settling, but I think there's lots of change to come in the next 15 years. Hopefully in a positive direction 🤞

      @@joelchapmanmusic 28 is still very young for a low voice. That 30 to 40 year old period does quite a change to such voices. What voicetype would you label yourself as?

      @@reubenthomas7907 I generally go with bass-baritone, but in terms of fach, it's up in the air.

      @@joelchapmanmusic Yeah Bass baritone makes most sense. Guessing someone's fach is up to the experts. Outside of opera , it shouldn't be used . Till recently, I thought Thurl Ravenscroft was a low bass, only to be told that hes a baritone , by two separate dudes who seem to know thier stuff/ or their really good at pretending to know .They could be wrong , but whatever.

      Reuben Thomas I agree that fach isn’t super helpful :)
