    I'm from india ( Bombay)
I had visited London in 2019 and I stayed in Hackney near lower Clapton pond for a month.
I felt as if I was back home.
I visited many places in London but I think Hackney is the best area to stay.
Loved playing cricket at millfields cricket ground.
    ❤️

I am not as old as Brian but I do share some of those memories of his. I was sent as a little boy with our paraffin jerry can to buy 2 gallons of pink or blue paraffin and struggle all the way back home with it. Hackney has changed immensely.

I remember doing exactly that in the 1970's. I remember the struggle 😄.
