How do you know what size up and what size down, my air filter seems to suck up to the air conditioning light I think it doesn’t fit right when I go to look at it I can’t see the filter cause it sucked up next to the air condition bottom
I just move in and the previous tenant has 2 small square filters side by side, which I know is incorrect. How do I figure out what size single filter to use?
16x20 is the Nominal Size which is a rounded size that can be rounded up or down. The actual sizes can vary by manufacture so it is best to check the actual size and make sure it matches or a Model number that is compatible. Hope this video helped explain it to you.
There are options congiurations on this unit so you will need you check with your HVAC contractor. If it is a standard 1 inch filter you probably need atomicfilters.com/products/lennox-genuine-oem-healthy-climate-filter-16x25x1-98n424-pack if it is a cabinet you will need a different wider filter and the model number should be on the side of the filter.

you want to turn the thermostat to the off position first, then you can remove your filter easily and check the size.

My other filters were 16 x 20 but I tried to put one in that size and it doesn't fit
