Could you make a video on how to glaze with resin? My resin keeps pulling away and leaving bare patches. Also when i use pastels to color it looks patchy and not as saturated as yours. Any tips?
I wonder for both these issues if you have to layer them. Like for the pastels its going to be light but putting down a layer, spray and layer again till you get what your going for helps. Seems shes using very vibrant colors of orange so of course may not even need to layer it for the colors to pop. Same with resin but more if like a thin layer, cure it at the start, then another till desired results.
@@hydrangeyes2170 I tried doing resin layers but it still pulled away. I tried going in with one very thick layer and that seems to work. With the pastels I think my clay isn't smooth enough because my fingerprints show up. But what would I be spraying it with in-between?
@hannahgroff9611 so I personally use the workable fixatiff spray (specifically by krylon) for my projects. I think you'll have to try putting on the pastel layers without touching the layer some how (placing it on the desk and leaning over, nudging with the ends of the brush- handle side). Then after immediately spray the fixatif at a good distance, allow to dry then add the next layer. I want to say the resin slips off because the clay is TOO smooth, and you'll have to do the thick layering like you said.

What pigments do you use? Like the brushed on orange. I'm having problems with the stuff I have. It doesn't matter what I do, it comes out patchy. You can always see where the brush touched the clay first.

I’ve always been curious what brand of clay you use? I use Sculpey but it doesn’t have that same shiny glass look. Of course it might just be the top coat you use but I’m still curious.

i glaze in parts ❤️ i’ll wait for the body to finish curing, then i’ll go in and glaze the bottoms

Can you tell me how you make the tiny pieces stick to each other? Slip (like with regular clay) or glue or is pressing sufficient?
You can glue it to stick small details
Like small drop of glue and then attach it.
If it's little bigger piece, you can use stick/wire.
