    For keeping cool I carry a length of fabric, mine is specially made for the purpose a bit like a super thin scarf but you can use a bandana or tea towel. You wet the fabric then spin or flap it several times in the air and wrap it around your neck or cover your head. Works amazingly and when it heats up just spin/flap again and you are good to go. Try it!

      That seems like a great idea! I'm gonna try with those packed towelettes that expand with water - just bought a packet of them and I think they'll do the trick. Thanks for sharing!

    I am making Altoids stationary kit.
    Please suggest -
    1) Liquid glue which can be used repeatedly
    2) Transparent tape which can be cut without scissors
    3) Compact slim stapler

      Hi @prtitam043, thanks for the feedback! I absolutely love the idea of an altoids stationery kit! A few years ago I bought a micro office stationery set from Tiger and I found it very useful (this is it rb.gy/vfxjm ). It even has tiny scissors! You can also see similar here - t.ly/lG6LN
      1 - for the glue, the best solution I can advise and think of is maybe get a small squeezable tube container (something like this - rb.gy/j1qbx ) and fill it yourself according to the needs and usage. There are different sizes available, so you can see the free space you have and buy the needed size;
      2 - for the tape, any tape that is like semi-opaque (aka "invisible" tape) is easier to cut than a regular transparent tape. You can always either get a micro tape cutter/dispenser like this one tinyurl.com/temu-tape or remove a tape cutter from an old tape dispenser and glue it to the side of the altoids tin (maybe the lid), or get a micro tape dispenser (as shown in the Tiger stationery set);
      3 - as for the stapler, check this one - tinyurl.com/temu-mini-stapler OR this one - tinyurl.com/temu-micro-stapler
      Hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any questions ☺
      Kudos, Tania ✴

      @@theeverydaytechie Thank you for replying.
      However the links of Micro Office Stationary Kit and Squeezable tube container are not working. They are taking me to a link which says "Paste your link and shorten it"
      Please give working links.

      Hi @Pritam043 sorry about that, must be a glitch on the mobile YT app bc I tested them on my laptop and worked fine.
      I already updated the links, tested them on both mobile and web and they seem to be working fine. Please let me know if you have any more quesitons.
      Thanks, Tânia

    Olá! Acho que é muito realista o teu kit, há tantos videos de EDCs onde só carregam ferramentas e nada para emergências de saúde. Adorei a ideia do chá e do colher, vou incluir no meu EDC. Parabéns!

      Olá Fernando, muito obrigada pelo feedback e pelo apoio! As ferramentas estão noutro kit que não é tão utilizado. Esta bolsa vai mesmo comigo para todo o lado e, sendo que é relativamente pequena e o espaço é limitado, é fundamental que tenha coisas essenciais 😊 brevemente vou lançar um do meu kit do carro, espero que ache esse útil também. Obrigada! ⭐

    Why bring a small screwdriver and that metal clipper when you already have a multitool?

    • @theeverydaytechie
      @theeverydaytechie  Год назад +1

      Hi Yukia! This multi-tool is very limited and the screwdriver is for standard sized screws. I wear glasses with small screws, so the small screwdriver is for that. Also, since it has a knife and a saw and I take this kit with me when I travel and I usually travel with a backpack only, I remove it from the pouch - so no multi-tool overseas.
      The clipper is a lighter and a lighter is very handy. The multitool only has a flashlight.
      Hope that this helped! Let me know if you have further questions :)

    Nice kit! I’m curious why you decided to include the stypic pencil? I know what it’s for, but have never seen one in an EDC kit. Thanks!

      Hi Julie, thank you so much for the feedback and support! ❤️
      I'm actually a bit clumsy and prone to getting small cuts and, since I have an iron deficiency, they can take a while to stop bleeding 😅 also pimples. Let me know if you want to know about anything else! KR, Tânia

    You had sent me a link to this video from our other conversation. Here are my thoughts:
    My goal is most often ultralightweight and compact, with my gear having multiple uses/applications.
    So I end up modifying my gear and what I bring. The ChapStick for example I would have taken the bees wax out of the tube and just use the push/twist basin and cap forgoing the tube, saving space. The lighter I use is a Bic, which is much more compact and lighter than the one you are using.
    Personally I would nix the bottle opener, cork screw, lighter, sharpie, multitool, screwdriver, and Buy a Bic lighter, and SAK Swiss Champ. this SAK has a pen, screwdriver, eyeglass screwdriver, corkscrew, bottle opener, can opener, saw, knives, pen, magnifying glass, file, scissor, pliers, tweezer, toothpick, awl, etc.
    Question on the purpose of the Tampon. If medical, like using to plug a bullet hole, that actually isn't that safe to do, as it does not have clotting capabilities, along with sterility issues. If for a tinder source, a wick (water or fire) or for a lady companion, then I can see the merit of bringing it.
    Everything else you have there seems useful. As someone mentioned, soaked cloth covering your head or body will be more effective. You see a fan is nice, but water against skin will cool a person 25 times faster. It is why it is so dangerous to sweat under one's clothing in winter. Not to mention in suburban areas, you are going to find free flyers around that one can use as a fan.

      Hi Michael, I'm sorry fir the delayed response but I was certain I replied to you. Hope that you are well.
      Thank you so much for the recommendations.
      As mentioned, this is merely a urban get-me-out-of-trouble kit with simple gear that I might need for my day-to-day life, I don't plan to use this in a survival situation since I have another kit for that. Also, some of the things you mentioned I already carry with me in my pocket EDC kit, namely a SAK.
      The chapstick tube also works as a tape dispenser for now, I plan to change it to the lighter instead as well as some microcord. The reason I use a Clipper (I recently replaced it with a mini clipper plastic one) and not a Bic lighter is because Clippers are refillable and you can change the flint stone - that also works as a sparkler, if needed and I find that it's easier to light when it's windy. The metal Clipper also has an adjustable flame wheel, which neither the mini Clipper or Bic have.
      Regarding the tampon, it's for myself - since I am a lady, I might need it sometimes 😉 or some other lady might need it. The fan is mostly for my mother or aunts, they find it useful sometimes.
      Kudos! Tânia

      @@theeverydaytechie I only saw hands and gear so did not realize that you were a lady.
      There is something called the Forever Match also known as a Matchless Lighter. Something that I suggest to goggle search, as there are several styles including one sold by BUDK. It is even more useful than a clipper lighter IMO.
      On a more personal but relevant topic, one of my Ex's was a microbiologist, another was a nutritionist, both were strongly against using tampons for health reasons. Just a FYI.
      Glad to hear this is only one of many kits that you have, again something I did not know for sure, but thought it was likely you did.
