I like to update my bag at the start of a new season. This way in the warmer seasons I can thin down layers and in colder seasons I can add winter items.

I noticed on a recent outing that a lot more women are showing serious interest when I discuss survival and prepping topics. It's also good to see more women making videos like this. I wasn't looking forward to SHTF being a sausage fest!!

Go ahead girl. I have been into this stuff for years but you had some cool additions. The fishing line or back line wrapped around you water key. Dig it.

Great content. Thanks for sharing your perspective as a female on prepping and bug out bag. Used your ideas that i never thought of, to fine-tune my wifes bug out bag. Made it a lot better.

I’d personally cut down on the clothing/ radio stuff.
Add more meals and some power bars.
    Re-tweak the med kit.
Add a back up water filter either a platypus quick draw or Grayl water bottle.
Would also throw in a collapsible water bag to store back up water.
Would add a fully charged electric light along with charging cable and a life bank not sure if you had one or not?
Would do a altoid type can with striker stripes all on the inside and few on outside and load other water proof matches and wrap it in a strong rubber band.
I’d add some blister packs for your feet and also would get a pair of diving socks to help keep your feet dry incase you end up walking long distant in rain. Duck tape as well as a good tarp is also key.
Good choice on the silcock key!
Throw some Emergen-C vitamin packs in your kit as well always a good boost!

And a small bottle of bleach can go FOREVER when it comes to filtering water. Smart water bottles there’s a couple of life straws out there that will fit them so keep that in mind!

I recognise the anibiotics. One of my patients called it Amoxacillin Gallivanting. Professional composure gone. Great kit. I'm currently putting together an adult kit for my now grown-up daughter and you mentioned several items I hadn't thought of. I especially like the fact that your kit is being used and not just for show. That's honest. My respect.

That’s a good idea, keeping your moon cup in a pill box. I think I’m going to carry more pads as I am concerned about how clean you could keep to use a menstrual cup.

Id sugest replacing all your carabiners with Load bearing varietys. Those cheap ones will fail when most needed. i like the idea behind the bug spray infused vasaline ,but i think if you had to use the vasaline for fire starter youd have chemical issues. Everything that has a butten on it , you might go ahead and replace the cotten thread commonly used with 10lb braided spider wire used in fishing , much harder to loose a butten that way.

    • @FemPrepper
      @FemPrepper  Год назад

Great suggestions, thanks! I would only use it encase of wet weather just to start the fire. I also have some hand sanitizer I was refilling but didn't put it in this video. I do need to get more carabiners because the good ones are in my bug out bag at home. I keep a couple bags on hand. Thanks for watching!

@@FemPrepperhave you tried Ben's wipes for bugs? I hate the idea of deet and used to carry around little travel spray bottles of bug stuff. But they always smelled in my bag. And I am highly allergic to black flies now so I have to use protection. I wear a sunshirt hoodie, I have a bug head net and bug jacket and they still get me. Anyway, these wipes are super handy and I can wipe it on my bug jacket or whatever too.

Great video! A couple of days ago I watched your previous BOB video from several years ago and you mentioned possibly doing an update. Great timing for me since you just posted this one!
2 questions: 1) where do you get your skinny clear pill bottle looking containers? They look very versatile for organizing small thing but I can't seems to find anything like that. 2) I'm curious how you plan on carrying you gun? Ive been looking at different methods of conceal carrying a pistol and not sure what method (for SHTF and daily) Thank you for the informative video! I've subscribed and will be watching more of the!

Thank you! Good to have you. I got the little containers from my brother. He used to work at the cannabis club and they use them for their vaping cartridges. He brought me a bunch. I found similar ones on Amazon amzn.to/48t6xuv searching for vaping cartridge containers.
2)I plan to carry mine on my belt with a small holster. It just clips on my belt nothing too fancy. It's this one amzn.to/3RxSwFK

@FemPrepper I suggest using a military/ pd belt so nothing droops with multiple uses or movements. Female belts have no use when it comes to defense. 👍

Get your ham license and actually use the baofeng. Nothing illegal about owning and listening, it's just terrible to have it and not know proper procedures during emergencies and it's not true about transmitting without a license in an emergency

I'm not quite sure what you class as a ' long term ' bug out bag ? I'm not knocking your attempt to have an emergency bag , it's always much better to have some preparedness for an emergency. It appears that you have around 5000 calories of food ? I get that carrying large volumes of food is not practical, however 5000 calories is 2 days of food at best if you plan to live and hike all day . Is 2 or 3 days what you plan as a 'long term ' emergency bag ? I have a picture in my mind of 'long term as several weeks or months? What is the plan for food after 2 days ?

Great question. There's many layers to Preparedness. I have a couple bug out locations and have prepared caches along the way. I also have some caches along my routes to resupply on my way. However I also have bike which has more items to help me haul more items, fire arms and a compound bow for hunting and and some fishing equipment. I'm also learning about edible plants. However my Bug out locations are farm lands with family so there's plenty of supplies there. I also have food storage of course at home and my Bug out bus. There's only so much we can carry so the caches will come in handy along the way encase I have to leave my bus. Here's my video on my caches encase you wanna check it out ruclips.net/video/-11M5u3g8Ww/видео.html

But your bags are really similar to the ones ive built. I did byy wat we proof plastic boxes for the first aid kits .built 5 womens bobs. My daughters and wife. Ive also built some for relatives. I can say, that i go through and change things out about every 6 months. I like everything youve done. I bought these funnels that you hold against your crotch and you can pee standing up. They have them. I put lots of feminine products in there as well as 3 mre. Thats enough food for at least 3 days.
