I’m from North Carolina, basically what happened is our entire west part of the state is mountains, they aren’t used to hurricanes, hurricane disected NC and but the mountains and tons of rivers flooded so basically any town that was in a valley just got screwed by flooding, lots of roads were destroyed and people got trapped, I believe things are better now but still lots of damage and still actively rebuilding
