These heroes of my childhood getting old and struggling to voice these characters I love so much scares me a bit. The anime just aren’t the same without the people behind the characters and the thought that they’re only human and will eventually have to stop scares me. I just hope that until that time, they can keep giving their all for me
To me there's is no other one I can picture voicing Kirito other than Tsugu-Tsugu. Kirito is the one who make me a Tsugu-Tsugu fan in 2012, and still a fan till this day, and at the same time introduce me to voice acting world. If it weren't for that final shout in the first episode of SAO, and Gleam Eyes VS. Kirito that send me goosebumps and blow me away through his voice acting in that scene then I wouldn't care about who's voicing the character behind the scene, so him wanting to voice Kirito even at an old age, makes me happy.

When I first heard him as Kirito, he's voice was like one of the few voices that I remembered, very unique and recognisable, just like Hayami-san. When I heard Inosuke, I cursed the sound directors, I knew Matsuoka-san is going to damage his vocal chords again. If he doesn't take it seriously, his voice would break someday. He should be more careful on selecting what kind of character to voice in order to protect his throat.
Finally new matsuoka content, there has been a scarce of new content bc of lack of events and radios. I hope matsuoka really do go to the doctor bc we don't want to see him having voice problems like in 2019 when he voiced inosuke, tsugutsugu x aipon have really matured. It is so different hearing them now than few years back in no radio no life.
It's kind of funny to imagine them still voicing the same characters in their 50's together...and probably still being cute together. Also Maaya mention!

If you look at Tooru Furuya (Amuro from Gundam) or Kikuko Inoue (Belldandy from Aa Megami-sama) who constantly reprise their roles. Matsuoka will almost definitely be playing Kirito in 20 years in one form or another.
