as a person who sometimes uses other students faber Castell, CAN'T BE SMUDGED, and looks readable, I saw like "Highest quality pencil" in pencils from them before, true.

Is it as dark as charcoal?
Pitt Graphite Matt are the hardest pencils I know of. If properly used though, they can look like charcoal. They perform like graphite. I like their 12B more than their 14B,because it has way less shine and it's almost as black! I'd suggest them to a more experienced artist, who really knows how to use these. Not as difficult as charcoal, but they are a unique pencil,that need some experience, to benefit by proper use. They are better than Staedtler,as any other product Faber Castell makes is...better.
You’re black Polychromos is actually 30% better then the 14B.
