I'm considering getting a Bias FX. How do you plug your guitar into your computer? Damn near perfect cover btw.
Josh S get yourself an audio interface like Focusrite that goes between your guitar cable and computer. Then get a DAW like Reaper, Cubase, Logic Pro, etc. and load the plugin like BIAS FX on it.

Getting a DAW isn’t necessary if you just want to play live. Bias runs in standalone too. But if you want to record you’ll want a DAW.

Thanks very much mate. My Stealth is not the Chuck version, no. I was waiting for them to do another run of them for years, searching for 2nd hand ones online to no avail. Then at some point last year I saw the "Legacy" model and really liked it so I went for it and haven't regretted it since.
@@DeathCovers that's class mate, I've had a look online for the Chuck version too but, fuck me, they're impossible to come across. I read a lad's post on reddit who bought one for about £400 at a garage sale and was so jelous! Keep up the good work!
@@TheArmour88 that was my exact experience for years. Seems only really lucky people find them. The new Chuck models are out now at least, though at the moment it seems you can only order the custom shop ones for like 7 grand. Hopefully not much longer before the factory ones are out

I’m like you - I hate changing tunings so I have 3 guitars for the 3 tunings I mostly play in: E standard (Solar V1.6FRC), Eb standard (Solar A1.6ETWHM), and D standard (the stealth). The freedom is so worth it

A bit about my tone:
I'm using 2 instances of Bias FX (1, not Bias FX 2), panned slightly left and right in Ableton Live. Both instances have separate presets. I've uploaded these presets to the Bias FX Tonecloud (in both Bias FX 1 and 2). The presets are called "DeathLeftSide" and "DeathRightSide". The tone I'm using was built in Bias FX 1. I have migrated it directly to Bias FX 2, but it sounds different and I haven't tweaked it.
Apart from Bias plugins, I'm also using an EQ and a Gate in Ableton before Bias, and more EQ after Bias. Long story short: I scooped out a TON of mids and took a good chunk of the boominess out of the low end.

@@DeathCovers cool thank you. ive yet to mess with digital effects so this should be interesting. When id play guitar id just use the Digitech 2102 so i appreciate it. Will check it out. Also have yet to mess with serious softwares for music creation, was gunnav go with Fruity Loops because im told its simple, but how is Ableton live compared to say Fruityloops?

@@SavageBambi FFS 😅 So... I'm going to give you a big spiel under the assumption that you're a tone hunter like me, and actually care about these details 😂 I'm also hoping that you use a DAW and not just the standalone Bias FX 2 application? Because it's two tones blended together with some additional "outboard" processing.
So I spent about an hour trying to dig through my old Pro Tools sessions and find the tone I was using when I made this video, then trying to find out how to export them to the Tonecloud and migrate them from Bias FX 1 (which I was using at the time) over to Bias FX 2 (which I'm assuming is what you have?)
Anyway... I had just about done that, and now have realised that I already have these tones in the Tonecloud for Bias FX 2 🙃 - if you search for "DeathLeftSide" and "DeathRightSide" you should find them both. My username (Death Covers) should be on them.
I don't know if they're going to sound the same as what's in this video (I don't even have the DI tracks from that session anymore). What I used in this video was a combination of 3 instances of Bias FX 1 with different tones, all blended together in Pro Tools and then I added some additional EQ, reverb, chorus, and delay (the last 3 being just during lead parts).
From what I can remember, as I migrated over to Bias FX 2 over the years, I moved those tones over and tried to sculpt them to sound similar to how they sounded in Bias FX 1, but it's probably not a like for like. But, it's a starting point.
So, what you need to do is run your guitar into two separate tracks in your DAW, each with an instance of Bias FX 2. The first should have the DeathLeftSide preset, and the other should have the DeathRightSide preset. Pan both of those tracks about 50-75% left and right. You then will need to group/sum those two tracks into an EQ (basically, scoop mids and boost bass and treble - classic style), and add some reverb and chorus. For lead parts, turn up the reverb and the chorus, and add some delay in there as well.
Anyway... I'll leave that with you and I hope it works out for you. I'd really appreciate you letting me know how you got on with it! Best of luck my friend 😉❤
