So clever haha. Was curious to how you approached this and clicked this video. Love how clean it looks w/o any gaps between bricks. Good stuff!

Question. Why use zbrush at all? Couldn't you have done it all procedurally? I am curious if zbrush is required for the depth maps. Thanks.

Why not just assemble the wall in Zbrush and then use the final heightmap in Designer? Cool result though!

@@titanmoruma5834 well if you are thinking about changing variety in seconds, then it would be better to making brick shapes in substance so you can change the variety of each bricks easily :D

This material is pretty awesome, but for a beginner like me this tutorial isn't very useful. A more thorough breakdown, walkthrough of how you put this together would have been really useful. 1080p makes for fuzzy text so trying to reverse engineer your nodes is near impossible. even just a big screenshot of your node network would have been a big help. Kinda sucks because this style is EXACTLY what I've been trying to learn. I finally find it, and its illegible and the artist hasn't been seen for like 6 months :(.

Million basic tutorials about the basics out there
I personally love when artists break down just the most important steps, I don't need to be told how to click a button over and over again

By just playing around with the software and trying different stuff you will learn more than you'd expect. This is how all the great artists learned their craft. Then you can go ahead and watch a high level tutorial and only a few key information will be all that's necessary for you to adapt the knowledge.
Who knows, maybe with an approach like this you will even create something unique and original, rather than just copying a tutorial step by step
