Now this has been my point all along. Fundamentally, you're supposed to keep the guy you're guarding in front of you and contest the shot when he shoots. And despite being lost for 1 hot second, he recovered and contested the shot. Luka made it and good for him and the Mavs as they advanced to the Finals.
Good thing dray was not covering the last game with the inside guys. Dray made the best show on earth nearly unwatchable by his bias and hateful commentaries😅

But draymond’s constant criticism comes off as bitter - whether it’s because he doesnt like the fact Rudy wins awards dray isn’t, it could be the money Rudy gets, maybe he feels others should get criticism that he gets, maybe it’s the fact he’s French - whatever the reason, having dray give biased views is sad
Wouldn’t be surprised if the twolves target the warriors for a spanking next year - at which point you can bank on dray pointing to Rudy having minimal impact on that AND the rings he’s won

NBA media has devolved into terrible takes from so-called journalists, and both current/former players turned “analysts”, and even that term can’t be used seriously these days. Dray is unfortunately one of many in this era who fit that description. It devalues the NBA product as a whole and turns ppl off from watching due to narrative manipulation and outright discrimination of certain players. In addition to that, they also exhibit a level of self entitlement that may very well be at an all-time high that also turns ppl off from the product as a whole. The league needs to do better.

That’s not how I interpreted this. The Score called out the hypocrisy of Draymond’s opinion. He’s a DPOY too, and has been scored on as well. Some players, like Luka, LeBron, etc - are just that good, and short of tying their arms up (or choking them, or kicking their balls) isn’t going to stop them from scoring.

The guy is one of the most overrated players in league history. Yes, he's a key component in the GSW machinery, but we all saw him NOT step up when Steph and Klay were out a couple of seasons ago. I wasn't expecting him to have a breakout individual season, but he couldn't even average double digit points a game and have matured as a leader to help his team at the very least not be the worst one that year.
You put him outside that system and he wouldn't have been a star on his own merits.
