    Hi Mark,
Talking about pellets. Overhere on my lake good results with the Tellus from Axereale elevage. Including delivery 600 euro's for 1000kg...
It's a soja based food and I feed my carp whole year round. In less than 10 years the fish grow from 1 kg to over 20 kg. No dead fish in spring. 😅 Best regards Robert

Thanks for message Robert, I will look into them to add to the mix through the summer as they are cheaper than the Gouessant vegetable based pellet option.
I will look at its nutrition profile as well. What sort of breakdown time do you get from the pellet?

Unfortunately very fast. I think a couple of minutes...Not like Coppens I am afraid. But as I don't have bream and not many silvers on my lake I don't really care 😅

I never really tested them Mark, so I just put a few in al glass of water. They perform better than I intitially thought. After 20 minutes they are still intact!

Almost an hour and still not completely broken down Mark! So in cold water at least an hour I guess. Positively surprised 😊

The total breakdown took 2,5 hours...😮

What density do you stock your fish farm at ?

Hi Lee, we are around 300kg/acre on the main lake at the farm and its a 8 acre lake. We see around 3-5kg/year weight gain on the fish with the shooters sometimes gaining a little more. The biggest C3 last year was 9kgs and they averaged 7kgs.

@ thanks for the reply, you’re much bigger than me, I have eight stock ponds that I’ve dug out and a 3.5 acre lake with fish to just over 25lb, I’m in the North East of England so it’s a lot colder up here! I’m going to give BP Milling a go this year, the look to be quite decent and I’m not too fussed about quick growth. Cheers Lee
