  • Lumphini Park is a 57.6-hectare park in Bangkok, Thailand, named after Lumbini, the birthplace of the Buddha in Nepal. Filled with an abundance of wildlife, one of its main attractions are its "dragons" - in reality monitor lizards. (Monitor lizards belong to the genus Varanus, a word derived from Arabic meaning “dragon” or “lizard beast.”)
