    I appreciate these compilations
    I'm sick of seeing the "dunks but they get increasingly more insane" but then it's just 2 vintage highlights, and then nothing but dunks from the past 2 weeks. I love seeing the deep cut vintage footage. Keep it up! 👍

    I'm an old head, I remember that first clip. If you watched basketball back then, Kmart and those JKidd teams were on Sportscenter top 10s on a nightly basis, so you also saw all those "catch" blocks.
    Kmart was good for empathic plays. He dunked HARD and swatted just as hard.

      Oh not probably, he is! As you said, he's the only SF ever to average 3 BPG in a season, and did it twice! The only other player 6'9 or shorter to do this was Ben Wallace, but he was a center as we know. Josh Smith came pretty close a few times, btw! AK47 was also very good at steals, and defense in general. He had a super rare combo of length (6'9 but 7'4 wingspan), athleticism (37 inch vert, great speed as well), Instinct/positioning/anticipation (He knew when to leave his man to help, pretty good with avoiding fakes, when/where to jump and so on), and sheer hustle (self explanatory). He was also a pretty good rebounder and passer, and a solid shooter. Also has the 2nd most 5x5s in NBA history with 3, after Hakeem the dream of course, who had 6! (He's my fav center btw). I tend to like all around players who are defensive minded, so when I started getting into basketball around high school in the early 2000s, AK47 quickly became my fav player as he was unique in general but also broke the stereotype of Euro players being shooters who were average or below average athletically and on defense. He was pretty much the opposite, not a great shooter (but a decent one who got better a few years in), but a monster athletically and on defense. I'm glad you gave him props, a lot of people don't know how awesome he was!

    • @bryant475
      @bryant475 Год назад +1

      @@Zook143 Tay was good, but he never averaged 2 BPG, let alone 3 BPG as a SF! AK47 was an another level :) I just checked his stats, and was surprised to see that he never even averaged 1 BPG! His highest was 0.9, in 04-05, and the most SPG he ever had was 0.8 in 03-04 and 05-06. By contrast, AK47's top 3 BPG seasons were 3.3 in 04-05, 3.2 in 05-06, and 2.8 in 03-04. His top 3 SPG seasons were 1.9 in 03-04, 1.6 in 04-05, and 1.5 a few times. Even if you look at advanced stats like Defensive Box plus minus, it's not even close either. So yeah, no shade on Tay, he was one of my fav players as well at the time- but as I said before- AK was on another level!
