- Remember the good old 90's Ford Festiva? Did you know it was actually made by KIA?
For the same "value for money" small car motoring in 2017, maybe you should check out the latest generation KIA Rio hatchback?
Car: 2017 KIA Rio S 1.4L Automatic (74kW / 133Nm)

Bit different than your Optima review. Haha.
Love the new Rio. Sad they're not selling as many. I think the base model Cerato at $19,990 drive away is partially to blame for this.
Thanks for sharing!
Hi Melissa - thanks for watching! You're right about the Cerato - it's very good value at that price over the new Rio. We've also had a drive of the funky KIA Soul lately too which was surprising - stay tuned for that review!
Would love to see a review on the Kia Rio GT-Line :D Thanks. I enjoy your videos
Hi Sarah Jane - many thanks for your feedback! We've contacted KIA Australia for you and can confirm we've got a KIA Rio GT-line coming in early May to review, so stay tuned. Thanks for watching!
@@BRRRRMAustralia oh great thank you so much :D
I'm looking to get one :)
Between Mazda 2 , i20, Polo and Rio which one will you go for and why?
Hi Huli - thanks for watching! That's a very good question - and this is just my own personal opinion - I'd probably go for the Mazda 2. It's a fun little car to drive (now with upgraded safety too) and has a 6-speed auto (or manual) and probably won't give you alot of trouble to run (and has pretty good re-sale value I've heard too especially in auto). The new Rio impressed us apart from the 4-speed auto, which I think maybe remedied later this year. The Hyundai i20 has been replaced in Australia with the Hyundai Accent (we haven't driven one yet so can't really comment). The VW Polo looks and feels premium but I think might be a bit more expensive to run than the Japanese or Korean brands (they also need premium unleaded petrol). Hope this helps!
Hello, Do you think it would be better in a manual? :)
Hi The3m1ly - We haven't driven a manual Rio, but in Australia the Rio is only available as a manual in one version only - the entry-level S model, which I think is more of a pricing strategy for KIA. It shows that most people these days prefer to drive an automatic, so unfortunately the vehicle choices for manual drivers is getting fewer and fewer! Thanks for Watching!
