We couldn't afford a Barbie doll when I was a kid, but I had those cheap plastic dolls that were (kind of) similar, and I had a lot of fun with those! I still remember buying bags of cheap clothes and shoes to fit them from the toy store, and used sewing pins to pin the shoes onto their feet, and coloured sewing pins poked into their heads for earrings! I smile even now thinkng about it!
