I loved working on these ladies. I actually stitched them twice and didn't get my set beaded and framed until after my daughter was born. I had actually done these twice once for me once for my sister.
I have done Celtic Noel and just finished Celtic Spring. Use a sticky bead box - it makes putting the beads on so easy!
Seeing your lovely work makes me want to stitch these beautiful ladies. ❤.
Also I’m binge watching all your videos 😂.
I did laugh when you said you knocked your beads to the floor. 🤣😂 That happened to my aunt. Here’s a great tip on picking them up. Take your vacuum hose, put one of your stocking, panty hose over the nozzle, turn on your vacuum. The beads collect on the panty hose and don’t get sucked into your vacuum. Remember to put the nozzle over a bowl before you turn your vacuum off. Works wonderfully. 😊
Hello and thanks for the great tip! 👍🙂
I've had these patterns for 15 plus years. I'm currently tooling up for "Celtic Christmas". Wish me luck.
One day I hope to stitch these ladies. Your video was quite helpful to someone who has not stitched a Lavender and Lace pattern. Thank you! Your work is lovely!!!
You are so welcome!
😃🦄💙
New subscriber here! I would like to start whether a Mirabilia or Lavender and Lace. First time to do Mira and Lavender & Lace. Thank you for your vudeo!
Hello and welcome ☺️ I've never done a mirabilia but they are gorgeous and so may of them to choose from ! Happy stitching ✨
@@TheStitchyWitch but your L & L are superb!
Hope you'll have time to respond. At 8:06, I didn't catch which metallic was scratchy. Which one do you find to be the smoothest and easiest to work with?
Wow this was a long time ago! Kreinik thread. If I remember rightly.. I found the Treasure Braid quite scratchy; havent used either much in ages however. Here's a link describing kreinik sirithre.com/kreinik-thread-and-cross-stitch-everything-you-need-to-know/
Hi I have just come across your channel. I’m working on Angel of Grace at the moment. I was just wondering how you photocopied your chart? I’ve tried to copy mine but failed 🤣😘
Hi Elizabeth, it can be a little awkward with some paper patterns especially as they often aren't a simple A4 size. I fold the chart in various sizes and place it face down (under the copier lid) and print straight copies in colour. You can also scan them into your PC and alter or touch them up if necessary and print from there. The quality of copies I guess depends on the quality/efficiency of the printer. They aren't ever perfect for me but as long as they are good enough to see.
I hope this helps a bit. x
Great work! How many strands of floss did you use (1, 2, 3)? The pattern doesn't say, but I'm guessing 2 strands? Thanks!
Yes two strands with both DMC and the treasure braid 🙂
Just found your video. I want to start the Spring Lady. I'm a bit nervous about the beading. How long did it take you in the end to put on all the beads? But ... One stitch at a time.
Happy stitching
Michaela
Hello, I am not sure how long it took me exactly, probably about 2- 3 weeks doing a few every day. There are quite a lot of beads and they are delicate to work with but not impossible :) There is a video on my channel with tips on adding the beads also. Enjoy your lovely stitching project :)
@@TheStitchyWitch Thank you. 😍
