    It just drives me crazy how ignorant Americans are to anything that's not American or hasn't been done by an American God bless John McCrae

      Actually I think you will find Americans were the first to wear the poppy.

      We know what the govt teaches in school, what the privately owned news writes and talks about. How learn what is unavailable? Useless to criticize as that turns everyone off then is ignored as you don't read what is nasty, do you? Old adage..."If you can't say something nice then don't say anything at all."

      Check it out...small minded people who choose only to criticize ALWAYS HIDE who they are, having no strength of character or willingness to stand behind their opinions.

      @cheesypuffs8826,
      That's a Gross generalization, especially for those of us who aren't young these days and understand what this history meant for all of us.

      This video from the Imperial War Museum explains that the Poppy being worn came form an American and French Woman after the war.

      @@christinefougere Yeeep, Moina Belle Michael (August 15, 1869 - May 10, 1944) was an American professor and humanitarian who conceived the idea of using poppies as a symbol of remembrance for those who served in World War I.

    If the background music was not so loud it would be understandable.
