London Art Fair returns from 21-24 April 2022 (press preview on 20th April), bringing exceptional modern and contemporary art to the capital. The Fair brings together some of the best galleries from around the world, presenting work from both internationally renowned artists and emerging artists breaking new ground.
The Fair also features curated sections dedicated to photography, video art, contemporary music art and its Museum Partner, New Hall Art Collection.
PHOTO50 - NO PLACE IS AN ISLAND
This year’s Photo50 exhibition, No Place is an Island, presents a selection of works by 14 contemporary British and UK-based photographers, each of whom bring a unique perspective to the exhibition’s subject matter and work in a variety of photographic formats and materials.
The exhibition, which is curated by Rodrigo Orrantia, aims to interrogate what it means to be an island and to imagine its multiple possibilities towards the future. The selection focuses on practices that experiment with the boundaries of photography, sculpture and performance, often referencing British photographic history as a context for their approach to the medium.

PLATFORM - MUSIC AND CONTEMPORARY ART
For this year’s annual themed section, guest curator Candida Stevens has chosen Music and its part in Contemporary Art, working with 10 galleries whose artists have created new work exploring the intersection of visual art and music, and the ways in which contemporary art can incorporate aspects of movement and rhythm. The display will range from abstract work referencing the riff of jazz music with off-key colour and off-kilter form to figurative artists representing the process of composition across both art forms.
Dimitrios Skyllas will build further on the theme of art and music by performing a piano recital from Abyss, created in response to artist Matt Smith’s ceramic piece ‘Notes of a love song’ which will be exhibited at Platform.

MUSEUM PARTNERSHIP - LARGEST COLLECTION OF ART BY WOMEN IN EUROPE
The New Hall Art Collection is a permanent collection of modern and contemporary art by women at Murray Edwards College, University of Cambridge. The exhibition Myth-Making and Self-Fashioning: Women Artists from the New Hall Art Collection presents over 20 artists including Maggi Hambling, Paula Rego, Gayle Chong Kwan, Rose Wylie and Miriam Schapiro from the largest collection of art by women in Europe. The works on display, which include paintings, photographs, textiles and ceramics, will focus on two themes - myth-making and self-fashioning.

LOCKDOWN ART
The pandemic had a sudden and substantial impact on the arts and culture sector, with theatres, music venues, and galleries around the world forced to close their doors for months. During this period, artists found new and creative ways to document this time, which has resulted in meaningful new works and initiatives, some of which will be presented during London Art Fair.
Examples of these works include:
● Represented by Cavaliero Finn, London based artist David Edmond has created a series of street paintings of deserted music venues which had been closed for a year reflecting on the absence of live gigs and performances during lockdown.
● Austrian artist Jari Genser’s work, presented by Kunst ab Hinterhof, presents his view of his art studio in 2020 whilst he regularly listens to updates on a Coronavirus focused podcast.
● Charlie Smith Gallery will dedicate a wall to their lockdown initiative PROJECT PAPYROPHILIA which has been hugely successful, selling nearly 500 pieces and has been hailed by artists as an initiative that helped them to survive during the pandemic.

Great tour really enjoyed it from the lockdown of Australia. Thanks so much 👏
Excellent!
Thanks for the walking tour of the Art Fair. It is most generous of you .Greetings from Bogota,Colombia,South America.
Hi Daniel. Thank you so much for enjoying the film. That’s great! Best wishes from London!
Thank you for the video and tour of the exhibition
Glad you enjoyed it
I think the venue reflects the price rather than the art itself. I have never been to the London Art Fair but have just bought tickets for 2023, so took a look at your video for what to expect. Thanks for taking a tour at just the right speed for an overview. You obviously know a lot about art! thanks for posting.
Thank you so much. I think you’ll enjoy London Art Fair. It’s a good straight forward art fair.
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for the tour of the art fair from lockdown in Australia. I really enjoyed being there 👏
That's so cool! Thank you, really pleased you like it!
London's galleries are posting very tasteful art. 👌👌
Regards from Niš, my condolences for your queen Elizabeth.
Thank you!
Thank you, for the tour from long island NY

You make me remember the guy strolling by an exposition.... from that music compositor... the russian one; Mussorgsky! Ha, já, já. Fun!
I think I'll take that as a compliment!!!
Could you use the word vibe to describe the vibe which is different from vibe as you can imagine it’s a vibe with a vibe so use vibe every 30 seconds at least..... it’s a vibe
That's vibey!
It's refreshing to see so many artworks of relatively modest size. So many art fairs nowadays seem to contain a large number of oversize works, as though the artists are trying to overpower the viewer with quantity, not quality. (Though it would be nice if the narrator would dispense with the word "vibe." For some reason, it drives me nuts; must be a genetic trait).
I really appreciate your well informed vids, thankyou.
Hi Ernie, thank you so much. I really appreciate your comments. Best. Rob
Thankyou

It´s great to have someone showing you the London Art Fair. But let me tell you something, sometimes you swing the camera around too fast and make me a bit sicky... But anyway for those of us who cannot attend a fair like this is fantastic. Thank you !!!
Hi Mario thank you so much for enjoying the film. Apologies for the swinging camera - hopefully now i'm using the GoPro it's a bit better than the iphone, but yes I will try and keep it more smooth in the future! Do have a look at the most recent film which is an interview with the artist Graham Crowley. Best. Rob
Hi, Robert! Thank you for your tour! Love your voice! I got a little bit dizzy when you turn your camera around so fast :)
Hi I'm glad you liked the tour and I've noted the camera spun too fast at times. I've moved to a GoPro which is more stable than the iPhone but I will try and calm my turns down!
This tour is compelling, so long as you turn the sound off.
Great tour indeed.
Thank you! Much appreciated!
JOHN HOYLAND
23.58 Dude did you just give a by ball to a Walter Sickert ?
Ps.
Great video narrative, liked how you pointed out some of the prices also.
No! Let me go back and check the vid!!
Was it JOHN HOYLAND’s name that you couldn’t remember ?
really nice
Thanks so much!!!
Bom dia. É a arte que ainda nos resgatará do obscuro mundo torto que homens tentam forjar .
I love your videos, and I love your view on art.
Thank you so much! That means a great deal! Thank you. Rob
thank you, would be happy for your review of my art.
Hi Erika - thank you for getting in touch. As to reviewing your art I'm planning to start a consultancy element to ArtTop10.com where I would either via Zoom, or in person, review and discuss someone's art or art collection. Do you think that is something you would be interested in? If so how much would you pay, I'm trying to work out the price. $50 for one hour, or $100 for an hour? Be great to know what you think. Best. Rob
What is it ?
Valeu!
Hey Dude! Thank you so much for the super chat! It's great to get appreciation for the channel! I'll shout you out in the next one - and I've subscribed to your channel - it looks cool!
Too much aimless camera movement. I want to see the art,- one piece at a time. Is this too much to ask ? Here's an idea, take a still of each piece, and show it for 10 seconds.
That would quite possibly fall foul of copyright regulations. It's alright to film this as it's public interest but you have to be careful not to overuse the images. As you may notice in the film there are some paintings I would like to talk about but don't as I've already been hassled for copyright issues in the past. The galleries don't own the copyright, even if a painting is sold the copyright remains with the artist or the estate. So the fact the paintings are on show here is not a guaranteed free right to film them. Also it's a bog show and the aim is to give the viewer a flavour so I can't remain a huge amount of time on each piece.
Muito bom, estou conhecendo agora esse canal e vou ficar atento .
Dude! Don't spin round it makes me nauseous. Otherwise, more like this please.
Hey dude! Apologies for he spinning! Probably too excited by the art and trying to get around the show. I’ll try and minimise the spin action next time. V glad you enjoyed.
No art. No peoples.
The narrator repeated the word "vibe" forty-two times in the space of a forty minute video. (Yes, I counted). Could someone please buy the man a thesaurus?
Ha! That's brilliant! Did you really count how many times I said vibe!!! That's wonderful. I actually just looked on an online thesaurus and there are no other words for vibe! That must be it! Anyway point taken! I also agree it's nice to see modest size works, I do like the idea of being able to live with paintings so they can change your view of the world.
Sir I'm From india I was searching for this video thank you and I want to know how can I sell my painting to other countries
Hi Arun. Thanks for looking at my video. Why not have a look at Saatchi Art website. They may well function in India and would sell worldwide.
@@ArtTop10 thank you so much sirrrrrrrrr are in social media sir ..............
.
Subd!
Find a substitute for vibe.
Цікаво : хто купує такі твори мистецтва ? бо щось дуже мало людей.
Але є непогані ідеї.
Most of it looks so ridiculously amateur. Can’t believe people pay those prices. Seems to be all about ego so buyers can boast that they have *whatever*
Commentary can be done in a natural and normal voice. Why such a scary and fearful voice...?
That made me laugh! It's trickier than you think to do the commentary. I'm talking reasonably quietly into the microphone so that I don't disturb other visitors/gallerists etc and holding the microphone close so that you can still hear me. Apologies if that makes me sound scary!!!
Mostras muy rapido
Omg the overpriced rubbish
꼭 발음 그렇게 해야 돼요?
You have to pronounce it that way?
Total scheiß Bilder. 🤣👍
Подобное искусство отражает общий уровень шизофрении общества. Не понимаю- как можно так бездарно использовать свой талант!
A rather superficial tour
Hard to get around the whole thing in detail but I hope it gave you some idea of the show.
didn't see anything that i liked, nothing
