  • Dr. Amina Darwish gives spiritual insights about re-imagining womanhood when the prevailing thought might be women are better than men in every way and don’t need men at all. Men are misogynistic and just aim to suppress women in every way. Women must live to fight men. Women are only held back by systems of oppression like patriarchy and must live to dismantle them all.
    Sheikha Amina speaks at a women's retreat about re-imagining womanhood as a Muslim woman. Watch the complete seminar at mcceastbay.org/reimagine

    Could you please answer!! Is there any Hadith that women cannot travel alone. Like somebody should be there, either husband or father or brother like mahram? If a women wants to visit a place like a tour, is it ok to go and explore alone.
    Me and my mom argue about this always when this topic comes. I always try to convince her like telling her if I can study outside the city it is permissible and just to visit someplace alone it’s haram!!!!

      You will get conflicting answers on this depending on certain conditions and evidences. This topic you should speak to your local scholar/imam about.

      Muslim (1339) narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “It is not permissible for a woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day to travel the distance of one day, except with a mahram.”

    For me, i really hate when Muslim men try to remind women about hijab.
    Muslim men should just take care of their hijab which is sunnah. Sunnah doenst mean haram right? You can talk about men hijab with other guy instead of tell women "well, we men also ha hijab" while never wear it. Again, its sunnah. Ite not haram. Wear it. It will gain you more reward. Dont escape it with saying "well its sunnah". Wear it just like Mufti Menk.
    Muslim men ha no differen than Non Muslim who open up topic about hijab and try to act like a hero while women hijab has nothing to do with them.

    • @alliyahsgalaxy
      @alliyahsgalaxy Год назад +5

      Why? Allah didn't say that men can't remind women and women can't remind men. This is a Western idea. It is their duty to remind and we should be thankful to those who do it not demonise them.

    • @seher7280
      @seher7280 Год назад

      @@alliyahsgalaxy yes except there is a time and place for everything which many Muslim men can't seem to understand or don't want to.

    • @1994mrmysteryman

      @@seher7280 And you can't seem to understand that the original comment is rude, completely out of place and blatantly unislamic.
      Maybe learn some Islam before preaching to others your own daft opinions.
