Best to drain the heat exchanger via the primary heat exchanger drain point. I twist the ch twice quarter turn and put it on low fire for purge. I've fit numerous Viessmann boilers. I lost count, never really encountered a lemon pump. They're awesome boilers imho. Thanks for the tips 👍
When you were filling the bucket you made a comment there was air in the system but you did not explain what indicated to you that there was air in the system

Mine was the flow sensor that needed to be replaced. After that. Hot water from the taps was hotter then ever.

You will get big bubbles out if there is air :)
