Answering the question on this video; I stack for selling. My suggestion is to start buying. Now premiums are not too high and silver is not on its peak. So I believe it is time to start buying slowly.

Old Spokane bar is fantastic . The odd weights stamped on vintage bars Smacks of simpler /carefree times? Love it Thanks. Got to say that my LCS prefer 1kg bars because they feel that it is simpler to deal with, easy in ,easy out.

Sometimes I imagine what these old bars sold for. This one, about 17 bucks.

Speaking of premium and size, I have had bad experience purchasing owning & then selling 2 gram gold. Bought some when gold was in the 1760s. Scottsdale to be exact direct from Scottsdale. Sold on eBay & LCS to cover expenses. Gold was between 1900-1934. after all said and done I am down about 83.46 after selling those 8 grams. Now I broke even on the 5 gram. What I am saying is if you buy gold save and buy bigger and lower premium size. Learning experience not heart broken or feeling burnt but just a learning experience. Also, keep your receipts so you can track how you do.

Great to get here for a visit my friend. As like you the rib eyes are on the prep board awaiting the couple hours since I put my rub in/on to it in the fridge. I splurged and got a Traeger this year and I am super happy. The thermometer in the lid actually works and is accurate too. Need to pinch myself to know it is real, LOL. I pulled back on any Sovereign pieces a lot. Same for bullion. I can get 9999 shot from our trusted mint for just na buck (and a bit) over spot delivered to my front door. All I do is a specific gravity test and when I need a bunch of shot for a sale I can pass the savings along to my customer. Once poured the piece goes over our sleepy little town for a Sigma checkup as and once home the CCT slide to make triple sure all is well. So far all is good in the/my pouring world. Eagles for a buck+.50 over is a wonderful price. You can sure find some crazy good deals my friend. I once got lots of 10 ozt bars but found available shot so of course they are a thing of the past now, LOL. You are always a great listen to my friend. You have NEVER lead me down a path that isn't 110% good to pay attention to my dear old friend. It has been a good long time but I would love to rub elbows on another trade old friend. I will lead you with that on your mind eh.

Great video, I started wit Eagles, Maple Leafs, Britannias and Krugs but quickly switched to bars, 5 oz now mainly just 10 oz Freedom bars. I wont go much bigger and I want to be able to test them with the PMV. I also think its much easier to move 5 and 10 oz bars should the need arise.

Try a Weber “Performer”, it’s charcoal with a gas starter. Or it’s little bother the 22.5” Charcoal. All of them will last 20+ years if taken care of.

If we see a market crash this fall, I would think that precious metals will also take a big hit…me thinks this is a pump and dump for the metals…we shall see thought..I think we see $22 silver again soon, possibly below $20 if the markets crash in the fall…buyers are active right now with the big move up though…it never fails, they don’t buy when spot is down and then they go all crazy after a 15% move up…bold has the Geiger 100 gram and 250 gram silver cast bars right now…we are doing some carne asada and pollo adobado on the grill for some tacos…

    • @losinglouie

Yum, tacos! I also believe the crash is coming. Recession too. I can only hope metals take a dive to create the opportunity of a lifetime. Just got back from Lowes. Got the new BBQ!

I have been investing a little in some more home defense and security lately…I haven’t purchased any metals in a while…feels like forever…I think I have enough anyway to be honest….I’m at the point where storage is becoming an issue for me…i think I will only buy gold and platinum for now…I will only replace silver as I sell it, but honestly I want to bleed my inventory down around 1000 oz before I buy anything else..need more room

Sorry Louie, but i never associated propane with grilling, might as well throw it on a pan on the stove.
The only way to Bbq, is outside on a hardwood bed of coals, charcoal dont even cut it, you should try it sometime couple cinder blocks and a grate will do the trick, fanciest propane " grill " dont even begin to compare

Like button tickled. We're bbqing giant bone-in tomahawk ribeyes from Costco. I love vintage 1 ounce collectible art bars, like stuff from crown mint and have been wanting to get into the big vintage poured bars. My grandpa worked at the Homestake Mine in South Dakota, and I've always wanted to get some from there as well as Draper Mint in Utah to accompany my SOAs

Really good advice, thank you! Once the recession hits (someday, lol) silver will sink, imo. That will be the time those 100 ounce bars and wait until recovery. For now I'm mostly buying small collectable bars. Enjoy those ribeye's Louie!

Yes size matters. You should only buy 5 and 10 oz silver bars. The ideal size, the perfect size. Everything I imagined a silver bar to be and more. 1 kilo bars are terrible. Very heavy. Stay away from them like the plague. Too heavy to lug out of your house if there is a wildfire, tornado or hurricane. 1 oz silver bars are a rip off - too small. You don't feel you are holding silver in your hand.
