I have been watching your shows for a few years now, I love every episode. I would love to visit your country and all of the places you go to. Until then I will continue watching through you. I love the history you tell about each location also. Thank you for all your hard work to bring these excellent historic shows to us.
Thank you for your kind words of support. I realise that for many of my viewers from overseas, these videos are sometimes the only way they get to see these unique places. Next year I hope to be shooting some of my work from abroad again. The history of Europe is a fascinating one, and with the paranormal it helps to give a clearer perspective at these fantastic places :)
thank you again for all the time you put into these wonderful broadcast. I am in Utah by the way, about 1.5hrs. north of Las vegas. There are no castles, unless you go to Vegas's excalibur lol.
Hi Chris one of your big fans here....really enjoyed this vid...must be so cool to walk down the hallways of a castle people walked down hundreds of years ago..........takin my time going thru your vids having watched the same ones over and over. I don't want to see them all to soon
Hi Chris Thank you for this excellent program. I am watching all your posted videos one by one and this is one of my favorites. Well done! I do like your very clear and very documented speech. No doubt a lot of time and effort and research go into making these. Keep' em coming!
Came across your channel while looking for haunted castle video's I'm happy to see your channel still active. I have subbed to you an look forward to your content I love documentaries and was very impressed with this video. I'm big on history and love to learn the real facts from the legends when avalible although the stories of legends are great to hear 😊 I have always had this obsession with castles kings and queens I live in the USA but my ancestors came from all over England Ireland whales an so on. So watching these lovely video's gives me a sense of getting to know my ancestral lands an ancient history plus I love the paranormal and investigate myself so your video's are a big win for me 😃 thank you for sharing your wonderful documentaries 💜
Finally got around to watching this video after a busy few days over Christmas. It was well worth the wait. Extremely interesting. Love the paranormal pieces at the end. Very atmospheric too. Great stuff :)
Queen Isabela bought Rising and lived there in her latter years. The same Princess who attempts a bargain with William Wallace (Gibson) in Braveheart on behalf of King Longshanks. Tiz true that her husband the Prince and eventual King had male lover (s) and sidelined French born Isabela who remained patient and true to her husband. Later, she exacted revenge by invading England and putting one lover to death in the most horrible fashion. The story of her life would make quite a sequel to Braveheart.
Isabelle was a child living in France during the time of the Braveheart story, which is completely historically inaccurate in its depiction of her. She did not come to England until her marriage to Edward II which took place after his coronation.
Again Chris, your work is beautifully crafted, interesting, evocative and full of suspense in the final part. Is the point of the film to convey history, showcase our heritage or connect with old souls? Intriguing and addictive. Many thanks!
Thanks alot you never let me down! I have been ill but I see lite at the end of that tunnel, and touring with you cheers me up alot! Thanks again, be well.
Thank you Chris for sharing Castle Rising its such a beautiful looking I was their 2 years ago in the same room where you heard the banging we heard a chair being dragged across the floor upstairs so we went look upstairs nobody up there so we looked around we did not find anything and no chair be found nowhere so I think that was encounter so if you have opportunity I would say this castle! It's is well worth the visit. Haunted or not Haunted I say Haunted so what do you think Chris
Dear Chris.Thank you for another very informative and pretty well shot and of course narrated:-))) video.I love the intro bit that looks like from the times of silent cinema.Really groovy! I also like ''House of the angels'' very much!!! HAPPY 2014 and many success in both paranormal and ordinary everyday life!:-)))
Hi chris. Very interested in your work it's nice to see such passion. I live in suffolk so find the local history amazing. How do you keep finding these locations. Would love to watch you work live. All the best Steve.
Sean is fearless! . The teams old and new are legends. This really is realistic stuff. By contrast, there is a video on RUclips of a supposed haunting by a Scottish river. By zooming in it reveals a number of people in front of a building, some are smoking 🚬😂 The Haunted Earth series really does separate the genuine from the not. 👍🙏🙏
Mr. Halton- Thanks from the USA! I feel like I should just take a couple of weeks shut off from all of the world, and watch all of your videos!! I really enjoy the history/paranormal approach that you take. I am definitely going to subscribe, and look forward to MANY more new vids from you and your mates! Please keep up the great work!!
Great Documentary Chris !!I love castles and thru you i visit them and know their history :)!! *thumps up *As for the occurences a night investigation would be awesome :)!!
A another great video, made here by Chris, from nearly 5 & half years ago. Love the sepia effect on his videos, too! Gives all his films a lovely atmosphere. :o) :o)
Well! All the years I've been led to believe Queen Isabella was locked up there for the rest of her life....! Thankyou Chris for putting that one right ! As regards the minting of coins, I understand that the site of the Kingslynn crematorium was built where the Mint used to be, hence its name "Mintlyn Crematorium" .
Wonderful documentary. Always love the history of an old building.. Some interesting sounds. Was it the wind, creaks in the floorboards or a ghost.... We will never know but it always makes you think. When I have done investigations, the evp's or noises you hear or even my film footage may never show something positive, but I shall always search for something. Excellent video Chris.
Thanks mate :) The building is very old, and I have no doubt some noise may be attributed to the natural movement of the building. But those faint voices were something else as with the sound of people walking above or below us during the filming in the keep fore building. It is a very interesting building.
Thanks for another wonderful location Chris. On a lighter note the beginning was like something from Worzel Gummidge I was almost expecting the Crowman. How do you select the locations? Do you source them through local lore or other means?
These buildings were amazing projects and without the modern construction methods we take for granted. The labourers would have been local villagers as well as specialist workers such as stone masons and builders.
Kris Harkin It was built over a few years, and they would have used hundreds of peasants, soldiers and craftsmen to build the huge project. Castles had a top priority to be completed asap because of the potential threat of attack. These were amazing undertakings.
Chris. I have spent time at Castle Rising many times, and each time I have been aware of a female spirit ( I have been a sensitive since childhood) I can only add that I felt an awful lot of misery and sadness from her. I wonder if you have experienced her at all? would be very interested to know thanks.
That's a favorite. Thanks again for sharing! Not sure over YT, but what I hear is: 15:40 "Talk to him" 15:46 "I can hear you" 15:48 "You better talk to__your head off" ??? 15:53 "Stop. Who are you? Someone is heeere" OR "Stop. Coming in. We're ghosts. We're the end of people" I don't know. My mind is obviously vacillating on this one. Definitely seems conversational though.
Thanks Kirsten. I have to say my brain doesn`t interpret the sounds as you suggest, but at the end of the day, the human brain always hears something different to that of another, so your observations are as good as anyone else.
Yeah, hearing it over RUclips is tough, so whatever you hear is more likely accurate. I just offered what I hear in case it helps support what you are hearing.
Thank you for this excellent documentary! My wife and myself visited Castle Rising today. Unfortunately, we did not get any indications. But - there were many people around and it was a glorious day in bright sunlight! By the way, have you explored sites like Stanton Drew or West Kennet Long Barrow? They should not too crowded and have a very long history over the ages! Plus, they also have a circular ditch / bank arrangement like Castle Rising which would mean similar energy concentrations!
Hi again Chris, sorry I meant to tell you the name I always get is Catherine ?????? and yes she runs around the castle but I felt that she was held there against her will... i was aware of her upstairs she peers over looking down into the great hall, every time I go there I am so aware of her... who she is I have no idea.....
Thanks for commenting. To answer both your posts. I felt a range of presences in the building, although the keep fore building has in my mind, a strong female presence at times in the upper rooms. Unfortunately due to the length of the shoot, and the short winter day, I wasn`t able as usual to be able to spend more time with spirit, but a follow up visit sometime next year might reveal more.
The low frequency music meant to scare, just gave me a headache. The flickering decolourized into picture did as well. Otherwise, except for the end, was a nice historical tour.
I love your videos so much! Just a suggestion, you all ought to wear tennis shoes so your footsteps aren't so loud, and we can better hear ghostly footsteps. Thanks for sharing these awesome places!
I will visit her I am her 23rd great grandson maybe she will feel better after I stop by LOL I doubt they really haunts it as she had a settled old age if its haunted its likely not her.
Wonderful video, i enjoyed it a lot!, i wish i could there and have a tour with the expert, i have a question Chris :) if you dont mind, perhaps this dimension is fake as some physicists say and could it be the second dimesion the real life? i think this whole world and our lives are some kind of dream, what do you think?
Thanks for the comments. I`m not sure about a dream, but there have been a number of incidents in my life that raises the question in my mind whether the world we see around us is as real as we think it is. After all, everything is relative. So who knows?
continuing with the spirit of seeking more knowledge allow me to ask something else: What kind of experiences did you have that would make you think that way? I really want to understand more about this subject. Also i want to tell you that since i have a cat i think about your ghost cat from time to time. Thank you for taking the time as always :) and have a happy and wonderful year :)
I couldn`t possibly answer why and how I think the way I do. It is many minor incidents of life that have led me to conclude these notions. And you too have a great year my friend :)
Interesting place, interesting subject. I noted, however, that within the first 3 minutes you mention "the widow of King Henry I", yet never once actually give us her name. Surely as she was Queen, a royal widow, a person of high social status, and an historic personage in her own right, you could devote a few seconds to her identity?

I know I said "Just one more thing", perhaps I may have fibbed.....but this is it....really.....do you get some sort of 'Vibe' before you hear or sense some sort of presence?? Love your style of spoken word, would be very intersted if you would be able to spend a minute on your sensative abilities. How long you have observed the other and how you feel about it etc.
How England maintains all that is old and historic is admirable. I love the mix of history and paranormal that you deliver.
England is a very interesting country especially during those medieval times, had to say, great work on your mini documentary.
Really interesting , it's a great shame the floors could never be replaced .
A lovely chanting Little castle. And the outside views are spectacular..
Glad you enjoyed it

Thanks Dave :) It was quite an effort to shoot this in the day light we had, but I am very pleased with the results :)
You can feel the history coming right through this video. Incredible and ancient medieval atmosphere. Thank you.
Thanks Chris - an excellent film. This Templar building looks ideal for one of your investigations

Thanks for another wonderful location Chris. On a lighter note the beginning was like something from Worzel Gummidge I was almost expecting the Crowman.
How do you select the locations? Do you source them through local lore or other means?
It always amazes me how big the castles are, it must of taken many years to build such a thing and then cleaning the thing
These buildings were amazing projects and without the modern construction methods we take for granted. The labourers would have been local villagers as well as specialist workers such as stone masons and builders.
Chris Halton - Haunted Earth tv that would of taken a life time to build
Kris Harkin It was built over a few years, and they would have used hundreds of peasants, soldiers and craftsmen to build the huge project. Castles had a top priority to be completed asap because of the potential threat of attack. These were amazing undertakings.

It sounds like someone's saying "Hey, you" to Sean followed by footsteps upstairs. 👻
Does sound that way.

one of the best ones i think was when the radio gram turned on at the haunted house session.
Cool video. I would love to visit and have a look around. Thanks chris. 《《《★》》》
And Queen Isabella's distant descendant has a place just across and up the road.
Really? Thats interesting. 🙂
what place is this?
I love your videos!!!!Have a very healthy year.in 2014!!!!

I love castle rising ps one good vid mate

Half of my heritage are from far north England half Ukranian when I see these videos I feel like I am there.
My ancestors.
il hear foot steps whispering voices to creepy .
Definately not haunted sorry, used to spend every weekend here as a young man and the only thing that ever spooked me and my freinds was a barn owl.
It is not a very becoming castle.
Is this a setup..a joke?
