Im watching this during my lockdown because of covid-19, the virus that you mentioned few years ago. what a coincidence, lol
Actually! Very relevant.
Ha
hahaha corona beer
Thanks!!!!! Will be ordering that High requested book!!!! I appreciate all the help you provide!!!!! Buckets of gratitude
This is a very tough video to make since I don't know many DO students to talk with. Stay tuned and I'll try to make this video. It's a great topic, just tough to get a DO co-host.
I created visual cards that I call "triggers" to help me when I study. I find that any kind of visual aid will help students to remember the material.
I just wanna thank you from the bottom of my heart for you amazing videos
I LOVE your vibe man!
also love the clinical micro made ridiculously simple. Good for revisions before exam or whatever.
Thank you so much, DocOssareh!
Please, make ones for Immunology and Pharmacology too.
That's really cool. Thanks for the video!
Thank you for all your videos. You made me more motivated !!
Hey thanks Doc, I struggle with all courses. I just ordered this book, thanks for the tip.
Mine just came in the mail. I'm taking the class next week for the summer thanks! I'm excited
Greetings from Algeria!!! 😁 thank you so much for the microbiology book it's just as you described it you saved my life doctor!! I know it's been 7 years wish you the best of success !!!
Thanks for the video, I am in Medical Microbiology right now at TWU and it is awesome. I am actually on the unknown project, so I will purchase this book later for something fun to read, but I recommend writing out the important information for those who like to write to remember, like me.
GREAT VIDEO!! Love it thank you for sharing!!! 😀
Thanks! I just ordered it!
Pediatric NP student. Great video. Thanks for posting.
Thank you for the video!
Damn Man U r awesome, motivate me all the time really appreciate these videos
I use this text for my clinical lab class and I adore it!
I immediately checked the 1. book on the internet and I found a pdf!!!!
It is a very interesting topic of biology 😊!
Thank you for this video!!!
Very relevant! Thank you.😁❤️
I'm taking a micro course in 4 weeks this summer! Wish I had a book like this. I would definitely trust you as my doctor.
Omg, I love love that book, it's everything! Microb is so much better now😊.
Loved it!
I am about to major in microbiology. Thanks for your tips! After watching this, I went to Barnes and Noble and bought the "Clinical Microbiology made ridiculously simple" book. :)
Thank you doc !
Thank you for the recommendation...about to buy the 6th edition from Amazon.
Thanks for the comment. I love the made ridiculously simple series.
What about Levinson and sketchy...how to use them
Hey
Is there a way to get a pdf version somewhere for free because microbiology is kicking my ass right now and I can't afford to buy the book
awesome vid!
Thank you! :D
That video is in the works. Stay tuned!
Never realized you could spiral-bind a textbook! Thanks for the tip. What do you think bout using the first-aid book as a reference throughout these classes? A piece of advice I got from a successful student was to use it as a reference throughout basic sciences and take notes in the book, so when you go back to it for step 1 studying, you're familiar with it already and it goes faster.
Very informative , keep posting such video 👍
How about a video about how you take notes in class with some tips and tricks. Also, maybe how you organize your condensed notes. Thanks for all your hard work on these videos :)
Great help! Thank you so much!
Have you used the Immunology one from the same book series? I wonder if I should buy it... :/
I frezeed for a while when you mentioned coronavirus AHAHAHAH
2021 med student check
😂😂 me too
your vedios are really helpful and this vedio made my day .thank you .have a nice day
I studied from the same book! (Clinical Microbiology made easy) But the with edition! It was amazing and it helped me a lot! 😋😋😋
I started reading the "Clinical Microbiology Made Ridiculously Simple" in high school and thoroughly enjoyed them.
it's very funny you find spiral-bound something odd. here in argentina every textbook is in spiral-bound. because our books are all copies haha
almost no one buys original books
I think murray it's a good text too
Same with me, original books are bloody expensive :D
Ohh really here in pakistan we get copies same as original books😂They are good at copying.
Yea lol same in Algeria 😂
wow, thank you so much this really helps me.i have a problem on microbiology.
A book that makes learning fun
I just bought the Clinical Microbiology Made Ridiculously Simple. Thanks for the recommendation!
You are hilariously amazingly helpful. Thank you. ^_^"
In class I just scribble down whatever notes come to mind in class. Just pre-read the lecture slides/notes before class and then write down whatever you think is important in lecture. DO NOT try to write down everything. Only the things you find are high-yield/most important. I hope this helps.
Great videos! Every time I start a new course I have no idea how to go on about with 100s of resources available but not knowing which to use, a question about microbiology though, did you go to lecture first and then read or other way around, what was the exact order of your studying routine for this class?
It's great that you post these reviews on here. A word of caution about the Clinical Micro Made Ridic. Simple: While it will definitely help with studying for exams, it is not particularly helpful for actually taking care of patients. It spends disproportionate time on uncommon diseases, & ignores high yield practical tips, as well as underemphasizes treatment. Sorry if you are offended by self promotion, but my channel has a playlist focusing on abx which will fill in some of these gaps.
Can you explain how you coordinated the colors of your highlighters onto Clinical Microbiology made ridiculously simple, please?
Wow!! It’s real convenient to read thick books like this. Could u share some ideas about how to make those spiral things? any tutoring?
Definitely gonna get this book ...:')
2:44 How about the drawing in page 19 that says "It may be tiny, but it's long, Man!"
Man! that information related to that drawing will never be forgotten.
covid-19 LOL
great videos, they have been really helpful but what about the pharm and the other made ridiculously simple books, would you recommend them?
A video on what supplements you take to keep yourself motivated and throughout the day. : P
send that both books if you are willing>>>>
thanks for these videos
Could you please do a video on the MD vs DO? :)
Thanks man! Finally I understand how to stady that subject!
I would suggest sketchy micro. It's gold! This video is a couple years old now.
Thank you man❤️❤️😂
I'm a high school senior, dreaming one day I'd go to med school…And these videos actually help me to plan out my undergrad as well. Super helpful! Thank you so much!
So have you gone to med school 😅?
@@Alqhtanefahad wow 9 years ago.. No, but I became a pediatric pharmacist instead 💊
do you write notes? or simply read from your text?.. i tried making notes for haematology and it took me a really long time to get them done, so should i just read from the text?
thanks for video but, i didn't understand how you did the book that black rings. because of my English, i can not catch it.thanks
I believe you are asking how long it took me to read the book. I'm not sure since I read it over the course of my microbiology course. Don't worry about how long it takes. Just read slow and learn the material. That way you don't have to come back and read the book again.
I am just about to finish microbiology and I so WISH I had this book instead of spending over $100 for the college text that I didn't even use...I will have to look at this series for the remainder of my medical courses.
Great videos with the cat! Oh & the info too 😂
Love cars!!!
Hi, I'm taking microbiology for nursing, do u think the book you taking about clinic microbiology made ridiculously simple could help me for prerequisite microbiology?
A really comprehensive informative microbiology book for med students would be Medical Microbiology by David Greenwood. A bit boring but full of important information. It describes bugs along with the diseases they cause.
Another really good book is Medical Microbiology by Mims, you can just read the part of the book which describes disease syndromes and the bugs which cause them.
Because of the different approaches these two books really complement each other.
Check out these two books from your med school library.
In India to start with ....Ananthanarayan and Panikers
I loved medical microbiology MRS! I read it like I was reading a novel.... It really did help and I use it even now in patient care to refresh my knowledge
I know this vid is old but completely depends. I’m in PA school and my micro teacher literally takes stuff from our book. Our last exam had one of those things in a book that has random facts. Didn’t get that one right because I didn’t know we had to read those. But my Patho phys required book for school is actually pathophysiology made ridiculously simple and I do like it. So thinking about looking at others that the teacher doesn’t go exactly by the book.
Why didn't I find this video sooner.....I have my micro final exam in like 3 days and I could have used that book. Might still get it.
Hello which one would be best to get the 6th edition or 5th? I'm a beginer and its for nursing school.
Thank u 😊
Here in Italy we use Murray's Microbiology. Have you ever read it?
I will take Clinical Micro 1 now in Fall and Micro 2 in Spring (With Immunology). We will use Medical Microbiology from Murray and Mosby. I’m little frightened from the loads of info included. Also, I have Clinical Micro Made ridiculously easy and I almost had stroke 😂 I’m pretty sure it did give me some long term aneurism it has a lot of info 😱 Here for some tips on studying. Wish me a luck guys, will not be easy and specially bcs I will also take Epidemiology, Biochemistry 2 and Hematology 😭
My school recommended "Sherris Medical Microbiology " & "Levinson"!!!! They're tooooo much😞
Here I am for the problem I am facing .... every time I read the book .... after few months my mind feels weirdly empty ... most probably gonna try this book 🤘🏻... hope it would add into my image memory easily and score marks 🤞🏻
Can you give advice to which RUclips channel should I go to study microbiology, i want a channel that explain microbiology in an easy way and thank you
What are those coloured strips in between the pages of the book...
What do you say about Lippincott's Micro book (the green one I think) ? XD
If you think about Lippincott's Illustrated Review, it's perfect! I am using it now, for my microbiology course and it has pretty much everything in it, and it's well-organised and ok to read and stdy from :)
I wish i went to med school with this guy.
im gonna get this book ... already on the way :)
@DocOssareh is this book good for those who are in the nursing program as well? because I am in the nursing program and I am going to take Microbiology and I want to be able to ace this class because I heard it is a very hard class =O
How can i get this book in soft form !!!
Would you recommend this book for just regular microbiology for a nursing student ?
I like u already.. Thanks for the tips. I actually downloaded that book. Read it once though. Hink i will check it again especially foe virology and parasitology. Having exam in 2 weeks and am still far from completing..
Can you send me link that can download (clinical microbiology )
Yes♥
Do you think the different series version makes a difference in content?
You have a CAT!!! :)
Thank you for the book recommendation!!
Yes

Is there "made ridiculously simple" series for Forensic-opthamology-ENT ?
What do you use for practice questions??
I'm a twelve year old working towards this and I understood almost all of this but how many years to be a microbiologist?
Hey! where did you get them spiral binded? thx
