    Revenant from Small Form Factor Network here: Great review. I like that you don't mask the challenges of SFF. A lot of people don't realize that it's not just plug and play with these cases, and that you have research the components that you have to put in them. For something like this, you would probably need to find a right angle adapter or a GPU with a recessed power plug.

    Hello, thanks for sharing. I've been using.this case.for a few months now. Even installed a dual 240mm rad custom loop. The build quality is only acceptable. Now Im convinced that they had budet oriented builds in mind. Because you dont need any intake or exhaust fans to keep it cool, because of so much natural airflow. 😊

  • @danielvipin7163
    @danielvipin7163 Год назад +12

    why cant anyone in their right mind just take this layout and flip the case 90 degree with io facing downwards and intake from front for gpu and bottom for cpu with a large 140mm exhaust at top with support for matx mobs and atx psus. this is the most win, win and practical space saving vertical case design in my opinion.

      I use that cooler in my Thermaltake Core V1 because it's the only dual tower cooler with a 120mm fan that can fit in it. Cools my 5700G to a constant 60C with a full load. Granted, it's overkill for an 8-core AM4 APU, but the price-to-performance ratio on this cooler is insane.

    I think this is one of the best cases they've ever made. This is aimed at the average consumer that wants a ssf case. No water cooling with massive rads just good ole reliable air cooling and decent specs. All most people need is an i5/i7 and 4060/3070 (around there) and they can play 90% of games with a decent 240hz monitor. That is what 90% of people go for.

    I typically really enjoy your reviews, but not entirely sure what may have caused you to be a bit biased on this one. It could be related to the communication issues with their marketing team and not getting the proper adapters in your hands, which is understandable to a degree. But I think this case is very good for specific purposes, and as with any SFF build, it's about finding the case that best fits your specific hardware and needs. There's no "one shoe fits all" in the SFF world, and I think this model has taken some good parts out of the NR200P and getting it to a similar litter volume to the Terra. I do wish it was slightly wider to fit FE cards properly though, even though it's possible with aftermarket braided cables. I also ordered Corsair's new adapter bridge to try out and see if it sits better than a cable, fingers crossed!

    I'm so glad they did not just copy the NR200P! Because in my NR200P I have problems fitting 2x 280 Rads, in the Meshroom D it should work. My NR200P is absolutely crammed with a 280 on the side and a 140 at the bottom, with only millimeters of gap between GPU Waterblock and Slim Fan! I could just copy/paste my components into the Meshroom D and it would leave much more of a gap AND allow for a 280 in the bottom as well. It's the perfect evolution of the NR200P for everyone using full custom loop and dual Rads! ...at least in my humble and not to relevant opinion... 😉 I'm gonna get one!

Considering it's missing the spine that is found on the meshlicious and meshroom veritical cases I can see it feeling less premium than those cases and it should be cheaper considering a riser card is not required. They could place the case on it's side and tighten the motherboard down in a star pattern and it should help installation.

    This is very similar in size and layout to the Dan C4-SFX. About 90% of the builds I have seen in the C4 are all using 4080/4090 FE, the fact that you can't fit the 4080/4090 FE in this case is going to be a huge mistake I think. Well the FE does technically fit but you can't plug in a power connector and have the side panel on. Shame that their quality is being sacrificed for price.

    So... no SSUPD / NR200P for an ASUS 4090... can you please recommend me an mini-ITX case that works with this GPU ?

  • @boonie3
    @boonie3 Год назад +1

    With the NR200 already dominating the mainstream ITX chassis market, they should have gone with the extender bracket included by default and marketed this as an mATX case. The AP201 is selling like hotcakes and there is definitely a growing market for compact mATX cases.

  • @jamesmcmahonii8433

    I feel like this Ncase design is really at the end of its life here, the gpu sitting this close to the desk is not really a good idea for these big and powerful card we have these days, the C4sfx with the reverse setup that puts the gpu on the top it’s the way to go in the future.

    Thanks for the video! Well, it seems you are absolutly right: If you do a NR200-"clone", you have to do it better. I am not a great fan of the NR200, but it is very good for its price. I thing SSUPD could have made a very much better way to the design ideas. Maybe they will explain why they did it that way...
