- Fluttering a minnowbait or pulling a Suick through thick weeds - and keeping it from fouling - requires patience and finesse. However, the technique is worth learning because it's a dynamite way to catch muskies that have buried themselves in the vegetation. In this video, Steve demonstrates how to do it.
Good video Steve. I always enjoy watching your video tips.
Awesome. Thanks, Frank!
Great tip Steve, as well as all your videos, and a nice fish.
Do you find this pattern to work equally as well in clear vs dark water?
Thanks for sharing!
Hi James: I’ve fished minnowbaits and Suicks in weeds for almost as long as I’ve fished muskies, in both dark and clear water. In clear, the weeds grow deeper so you’re just fishing in deeper water. I’ve never seen anything different outside of depth. Thanks for watching!
Heck yeah! Can't go wrong with a twitch bait in emergent weeds. I give it a whirl anytime. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching and good luck this year!
