  • What started as a way to make life more manageable and sustainable has been recast by conspiracy theorists as another way for the government to control us all. Melbourne, Wollongong and Coffs Harbour are all aiming to become a '15 Minute City', but what is it exactly?

      It's disturbing the number of lemmings who by default embrace the micro regulation of everything in and around their lives. Where our choices and decisions on what we can own, where we can go will be abrogated in favour of the state's... as we sink into an abyss of coercion, compliance and conformity. The threat potential is real, not a conspiracy as history his taught us this kind of social engineering power has never been safe in anyone's hands.

      What's absurd is that the traffic restriction measures have absolutely nothing to do with 15 minute cities. They were put in place, because residents on streets were complaining about drivers going too fast down the roads in front of their homes. Repeatedly using local streets as through traffic arterial and putting the lives of young kids at risk.
      That's the problem with a lot of drivers: They don't care about the well being of the residents living in the areas they're driving through: They only care about getting from A to B as soon as possible.

      This exists in many cities in the Netherlands, the direct connections between neighbourhoods are blocked for cars, but you can still get to every neighbourhood by car via the ring road. This solved the problem of neighbourhoods being suffocated by through-traffic. You can now safely walk and cycle in the neighbourhoods, can carry out a conversation outside without shouting and the air is much cleaner. More people walk and cycle to nearby destination which improves their health. Shops have more customers, and these cities attract more tourists. What a terrible dystopian future /s.

What about those that want privacy and sounds of nature and to own live stock? Oh wait, I read the entire 2030 agenda and it's not in there. Everyone will eventually live in cities because they will have no choices what so ever to live in any other way. No one but the elites, of course, will own property or have sovereignty. IF you think this is some theory go look at the 2030 goals and look into the WEF. Remember their slogan: You will own nothing and you will be happy. • @mikewade777
      @mikewade777 Год назад +3

      Restrictions only exist when people fight it. There would be no restrictions no fines if drivers understood the concept that driving a walking distance causes congestion, causes local Chemical and noise pollution in someone else's neighbourhood.

    • @Lunavii_Cellest
      @Lunavii_Cellest Год назад +2

      Please just look up what it actualy is. The camera's thing all derives from a proposed idea to close of a street for cars if you drive trough it over a certain amount of times. This idea was never put in to actuality and would have never been as the better solution was to just completely close of the street for cars.
      This and the dividing a city into districts where to travel from one district to another by car you will have to use the ring road is just a traffic plan that is often used to get rid of trough traffic inside of the districts which inproves the quality of a district. And this is also used to lessen congestion in a city by getting rid of traffic that could very easily be made by walking or cycling.
      The 15 minute is just to make it better to walk or to cycle to an amenity as it would be at max 15 minutes away which for me as a dutchy is still way to much.
      In my country of the Netherlands all cities, towns and villages are by definition 15 minute cities as the concept is the standard and has always been that since the age of farmers and gatherers. A couple places here that use the specific traffic plan are Groningen and the suburb of Houten which both are some of the best places to live in the world with some of the highest qualities of life globaly.
      The getting rid of trough traffic by closing of streets is so normal here in the Netherlands that across the country people are begging their municipality to close of streets to car traffic.
