    • @新型コロナは空事です
      @新型コロナは空事です 3 года назад +3

      @@dmhor7389 Corona virus have been causing sniffles, coughs and cold since, well forever. It is not hard to research that. I bet you had never even heard of a corona virus until 2019. But in 2009 it was reported in all you major British Newspapers that 30% of all colds were caused by corona viruses. 60% by the rhino virus and 10% by mysterious other viruses. Basically one in 3 to 3.5 colds a person catches is from the corona virus. The average person catches a cold 2 to 4 times a year. What does that mean my friend. This is basic math mate. If you have ever had more than 3 colds you are likely to have been infected by a corona virus probably even up to one time a year.
      Now I am going to teach you some basic virus and immunity theory. If you have ever had a specific kind of viral infection and survived it, then you did so with your body producing antibodies that killed it, and white blood cells that destroyed the cells that were ever infected with it. Your immune system has a copy of those antibodies programed and ready to be reproduced for the next time you get a viral infection from a virus of the variety. What that means is the next time you are infected with a corona virus, no matter how infectious that particular strain is your body is ready to fight it off. Hence why 99.97% of people under the age of 70 are surviving what the authorities are saying is a corona virus infection, even though they are using a test (the PCR test), that cannot even remotely accurately test for whole viruses in anyway.
      The people who cannot fight it off a corona virus infection, are in the main really, really old or have organs or tissue in their bodies that no longer function properly anymore for what ever reason. They were going to die from an infection of any kind anyway. There are plenty of medically trained people like myself who know this information. And it is readily available. You need to go back to school my friend, primary school in fact. So you can restudy your sciences and math.
      Oh and by why that mask you put so much faith in like a religious symbol, why not take a swab test of it after you have been wearing it for and hour or two. You swab the inside of the mask with a new swab, in differing sections, then transfer the material you swabbed onto some agar plates. Leave the agar plates in a warm room for a few days then come back and see what has grown on them. I mean it is a little bit more involved than that, but you will figure it out. You will be surprised at what you find. One study I read found 80 different colonies of bacteria, and four different funguses. You keep breathing that kind of stuff in all the time, and there is a very high risk that you will catch a bacterial or even a fungal pneumonia. You will have a cough, a fever, however you might be one of those unlucky people that do not get treated for a bacterial pneumonia because well they need people dying to prove that there is indeed a pandemic. No one will ever know, because you were told and your medical records show you had a viral pneumonia that could not be treated. Are you beginning to realize just how much power over life and death us medical professionals and by extension the bureaucrats in the government have. Life and death is all just a matter of policy my friend.
      Anyway you get back to enjoying the rugby mate. Leave the deeper things in life for us more intellectual types to worry about. Oh, and ah - Don't forget to put a mask on now, will you. We want good little people like yourself to just keep on doing as you're told without questioning the information we feed you.

In fact i'm pretty sure he was responsible for IRB creating the rule that you "have to release the player" after tackling them, before entering the ruck again. Because Pocock was just turning the ball over every breakdown he was in, and even after this rule was created he was still the most dominate pilferer in rugby ever.

      You may not like McCaw but he is unsurpassed as a leader and a winner. He was almost always the best flanker on the pitch when he played. He was the fittest player on the pitch 99% of the time and there are stamina tests to back this up. I have never seen anyone better at tackling one on one, releasing the player and then standing over them and winning the ball back - truly special.

    For myself, McCaw was clearly the best I have seen. Not the most talented, but the best rugby player.
    His ability to continually play at a high standard in such an attritional position was remarkable, especially in the New Zealand where there is a near constant supply of new players challenging for positions, and critics calling for players' demise.
    Opposition players who stood out were John Eales and George Gregan.

      @Henri Panapa It was his consistently good performances that really stood out for me. The AB's recent loss to Argentina also showed McCaw's value as a captain. He wouldn't have let Angus Gardner get so frustrated with them. People like to criticize McCaw for cheating, influencing the ref, invisibility etc, but playing sport at the top level is not a charity. McCaw knew what it took to get, and maintain an edge. And, on the days it didn't go his way, he never complained about it - That gets respect from ref's just there. Like you said, intelligent player.

      @@b.8457 No, the games of those days weren't the same quality and intensity as today. But as I clearly wrote, it is a pointless comparison. You can only judge players based on the context in which they played, not against today's players, who have all the benefits of professionalism, full-time training and sports science that players in the past didn't have, and in a game that has evolved. If a player was a great in their era (or in the case of Michael Jones, changed the way the game was played), it's fair to assume that if they were born in the modern era and grew up with the same training etc that today's players get, they'd have a good chance of being a great today too.

    Pound for pound the best rugby player (per numerous pundits) is Fourie du Preez. An unmatched rugby brain, with braun to boost. Solid workmanship on defence, great under the high ball, swift feet and a pass second to none. The Rolls Royce of rugby.
    I’d also like to suggest that the GOAT must be morally (rugby rules and etiquette) commendable. Some players were known too well for bending the rules and making a name for themselves far more for their tenacity in getting away with things where many others would not be so lucky.

  • @JEstey10000
    @JEstey10000 3 года назад +1

    No doubt, every player on this list was, if not top 10 all-time, at least a true great. And you captured some of their most classic moments. (Though surely, if we're looking at a top 10 of all time, we should see more forwards than backs??? Like, who cares who's on your wing if your pack can't get the ball and breach the gain line with it?)
    I really have to question the ordering, however. How is Wilkinson ahead of Carter?!?!? Wilkinson was one of the great fly-halves in history, but Dan Carter was basically just better in every way that matters. Like, it's simple math: 1598 points > 1246, 2 RWC wins > 1, 3x PotY > 1, 9 Tri-nations > 3 Six Nations, 7 points for a try > 3 points for a drop goal, and so forth.
    Similarly, Thierry Dusatoir deserves a place in the rugby pantheon for sure, but how does he ever get past Richie McCaw??? McCaw beat him head-to-head with a broken foot for goodness' sake. In 2011, Dusatoir was hands down the best flanker in the world. In every other year of their careers, McCaw was clearly better. Their trophy cases and career stats don't even bear comparison. Honestly, it's really hard to understand how the winningest team captain in rugby and a man who dominated world rugby for 20 years finishes outside the top 3 on any best-ever list!
    That's less egregious, however, than putting Shane Williams, Bryan Habana, David Campese, and Christian Cullen (who were all historically great outside backs, but who were rarely even the best players on their test sides) over a transcendent talent like BOD - a man who was consistently the best player on any side he joined, and who redefined the potential of both the 13 jersey and Ireland rugby. Not to mention that none of those players, including BOD, should have any claim to rank above Dusatoir or McCaw. Try-scoring wingers are a dime a dozen in today's game (the ABs alone seem to discover a new "world's best wing" every 2 years); now, #7's who can anchor entire defenses while captaining winning teams and even scoring tries... THAT's a special kind of greatness.
    Speaking of which, would you rather have Shane Williams on your side, or Alun Wynn Jones? Habana, or Victor Matfield? Campo, or John Eales? Christian Cullen, or McCaw?
    If you chose the outside backs, you can go coach for the Wallabies. Otherwise, congratulations, you understand rugby. Now, BOD, or Paul O'Connell? That's actually an interesting question - which is another reason why BOD stands above the other backs on this list. (Except possibly Carter & Wilkinson, both of whom repeatedly served as the lynchpin of historically dominant sides at both pro and test levels.)
    While it's always easy to see a top 10 list and ask "what about ___?" I don't want to pretend that sifting through decades or even centuries of greatness and boiling it down to 10 spots will ever be easy! I'm not going to quibble about the great names who didn't make it, though I'll note for the benefit of the big boys that any top 10 list that's half outside backs and has 0 tight forwards is... showing a bit of a bias. I just think that there are some really easy head-to-head comparisons that were missed here. With Wilko vs Carter, Dusatoir vs McCaw, etc., we have players who played at the same positions at about the same time, and one of those players clearly achieved more than the other. I just don't see any reasonable argument for putting the less accomplished player first!
