- Canyoneering at Kawasan Falls was a once in a lifetime experience in Cebu, The Philippines! I have been waiting to see this beautiful place for the entire time I’ve been here in the Philippines, and what better way to do it than jumping off cliffs and canyons into the beautiful blue water!
We start the video with a zip line above the jungle of Badian, Cebu, Philippines, before descending into the falls and canyons for some fun canyoneering with our very amazing guide!
In this video, we teamed up with Kawasan Canyoneering to navigate the falls, which were devastated recently by Typhoon Odette in late 2021. It was humbling to see the rebuild, but encouraging to see just how beautiful this part of the world STILL is - you must visit!

Askal is actually a combination of ASo (dog) and KALye (street) so basically just common dogs without any breed, like a mongrel. Great job with the last jump!

My husband and I are traveling through parts of Asia this Feb and I was so glad to find your channel. We have watched so many of your videos and have found them extremely helpful and entertaining. I'm usually a lazy traveler, relaxing while my husband explores, but seeing you go through the canyons I definitely want to step out of my comfort zone and do this. what are your top 3 tips for preparing to go through the canyons?

Top 3 tips:
1. Good shoes. I think this might be obvious but definitely no open toe or slippery ones, I wore sneakers but they got REALLY heavy when wet too 😂 better than being slippery though!
2. Take photos! The guides hold your phone in a dry bag and I felt too bad to keep asking him to get it out so I didn’t get as many photos as I wanted 😂 if you’re going to jump off cliffs, remember it 😂
3. It looks taller when you’re on top than you actually are so Just jump. I was TERRIFIED. But looking back it was so worth it and I’m so glad I just made myself do it 😂

Aww! You’re so brave Josie!! I was there in 2019 and I think I only did 3 jumps hahaha 😂 I couldn’t do the tallest one but the operators were really nice about it and you’re right. The jumps are all optional so I didn’t feel pressured or forced. But watching your vlog, I feel like I wanna go back to Kawasan again.
