I love this video! Polymer clay, resin, washi tape all in one! Brilliant! Also love how real you are by showing your workspace and how a craft room really looks like! It truly is the REAL REAL! Them polka dots, each pattern looked great! Gives you more to choose from.
I hello from Sydney Australia. I’m only a newby polymer clayer and at present overwhelmed with all the different techniques that can be applied to polymer clay. I didn’t know that washi tape could be baked on polymer clay. I have so many gorgeous washi tapes so that is definitely going to be my next practice. Thank you so much for your inspiring and bubbly personality, I’m hooked on you and will definitely be following to see what awesome designs you come up with. ❤🎉🎉 Cheers Vikki
Hey Vikki, welcome to the club!! Yes it’s such a fun add on so many prints out there!! Aww thanks for the kind words!! Happy to inspire you to try new things!!
I just baked my polymer clay with the washi tape on it, I thought it would have stuck to the clay better. I can actually peel the washi tape off. Should I just cover it with resin now to adhere it in place.
I really love the polka dots! I love everything you make though. You have such an amazing personality and your videos are so enjoyable to watch. It doesn't look like you are doing videos anymore but I hope you are doing well in whatever your endeavors happen to be!😊❤
Olivia, I love your tutorials. They are very well put together. I am a beginner to polymer clay and actually I haven't yet been able to start yet. I love the way you put the glitter onto the product. I will definitely be watching more of your videos.

I have a number of washi tapes so tomorrow I am going to give your wonderful idea a try. I am now subscribed to your channel. Your instruction is at the top, bless you. Jennifer
I really love them!! You are so talented!! I loved ALL of them! Very nice instructions as well. Thank you so much for sharing your talents and work with us!!
Girl! I love your stuff... I'm always trying to think of ways to use things that I already have or use things that make clay easier. I love that somebody else thinks this way too. 🙌🏻❤️
I just love this and your concept of trying new and different things on the fly. I am teaching textures this month and am adding this to the teaching plan for my polymer clay crafters class tomorrow. Thanks for the inspiration!
So, so pretty and they look fab on. I really liked them before the dots but I love them as well with the polka dots, just adds a little something extra. I agree though, the ones with less dots just win out. I had no idea you could bake washi tape, so that's great to know. Loved the video, great fun to watch. Had to laugh at the long shot of your work space, the trials of having a creative mind!! 😄 and what a fab birthday gift, lucky you! Looking forward to more vids .... and those earrings do look gorgeous on you!! Gonna try some washi tape on my clay, you've inspired me 🤗
Happy birthday! Thank you for showing us your space, mine is so disorganized 😫. Purple is my favorite colour too! I liked the long half circle ones the best! I love your use of mixed media's with clay. Happy to have found this channel 🤗❤

So I know this video is a year old but I just found it. I just got into polymer clay (like, really a week ago lol) I'm OBSESSED! This is a brilliant idea! I was wondering if there's anything special you have to do when baking? I know you bake at such a low temp but I'm always paranoid that things will burn. I cannot wait to try this! these are beautiful!
I love the polka dots, _and_ I like the idea of some negative space as an extra option - so *both* essentially! 😆 And the plain negative space could also be interesting _un-resined,_ I think - like matte - as a counterpoint to the resined washi-glitter half. 😬
Hello 👋 I just subscribed to your channel 🤗 This is my first time watching you and u are amazing. I want to learn how to make clay earrings too and I’m so happy I came across your videos. 🤗 thank you.
Low temp! Get a oven thermometer and make sure your oven is at the right temperature. I usually bake mine around 250 for 1 to 1 hr and half depends on clay and thickness.
Happen to come across this video and just want to say that I love love your energy , style and that bookcase / drawer unit behind your desk. Where did you get it? My studio is a hodge podge of different furniture pieces. You've inspired me to at least organize it better. Hehe.
Thanks for a great video & a great way to use washi tape, but what was your oven temperature & how long did you bake these, also when did you add the holes?
My oven was my normal 250-265 depending on the clay I'm using. I usually bake all my earrings for about 60-90 mins once again depending on clay add my holes after they are baked and sanded.
@@OliviaHeyward Hi there, thanks for the info about the baking temps & when is best to add the holes, i have washi tape & looking forward to making jewelry.
So these earrings are super cute. Just love them. But, I have a quick question for you, I like the use of washi tape and I wondered if you’ve ever used card stock to decorate earrings after baking. I have tons of cute cardstock and wondered if you think that would work. Was thinking of using resin in top. If you have done so, would you be willing to make a video about trying cardstock on your earrings?

Hello Olivia! Glad I ran into your channel. I’m new to polymer clay and making earrings, like a week into it, but I have a question what do the back of your earrings look like after baking? I’ve noticed on mine, not all but some have like little divits/ tiny craters I guess hope that makes sense are they supposed to be perfect in the back? Also what do you use to attach your back studs? Thank you
They need to be finished so you need to sand or use some acetone!! I can make a video to explain more but if you watch enough of my videos I talk about it on them on how to make the backs buttery soft.
1st time watching your channel. Would using glitter in clear varnish work to prevent the reson divets? These are beautiful earrings, you have a great imagination.
Your products are absolutely beautiful! Do you have any concerns about using the resin, given the info about it being toxic? What safety precautions do you recommend if using it for earrings and other jewelry? Thank you!
Definitely have to use all the safety precautions, well ventilated space, respirators, nitrile gloves and some anybody who deals with resin should always be doing.
I love your earrings so much! I’m just starting polymer clay, so I’m wondering, when you did the glitter and resin line above the washi tape, did you have to do anything special to it before you put resin on the entire earring to keep your line from running? Thanks!! 😄
