Sports Achievements Comparison

  • What are the odds you can perform a 5 minutes plank? A hole in one? Or a full court shot? How many people in the world can run a sub 4 minute mile, a sub 10 second 100 meters or deadlift 500kg? How likely are you to get a world record, an Olympic gold or even 10 Olympic medals? How many people have won the Superbowl, the Wimbledon, a FIFA World Cup, or even a Formula One Championship? In this animated 3d size probability comparison, we visualize your probability of, and showcase the hall of famers who have accomplishment.
Note: For consistency, since there are people who achieved some insane sports feats that are no longer alive, we count all people from 1900 onward, thus out of a population of 11 billion as opposed to 7.7 billion. The probability is based on the occurrence of the accomplishments over the whole human population. Not all figures can be obtained. Those that are extrapolated will be mentioned in the video or in the sources listed below. All figures presented may have wide error margins.
