What's the deal with the mechanical bell. It seems to stop when the crossing is about halfway down and then comes back on when the gate is a couple inches from the ground.

When the signals are green usually in 30 minutes there is a train

minecraft77767 Yes but in many locations the light stays red until Jacksonville gives the ok for a train to move then turns the signals here
