I will be watching this and cutting mine, am a beginner, thank you, I can't wait to be a pro, that's why am not just relying on what my boss teaches me but I also watch others from RUclips here.
You re one in a millions as u were able to provide answers to everyone questions. You even still answered questions that had already been answered. God bless you richly.
Wow! This is so beautiful, your explanation and drafting are top notch… I subscribed immediately cos I love this dress, I will make sure to send you my result after following the steps❤
Also you mentioned you wouldn’t have used 3 inches instead of 2.5 inches for the neck width. Does that affect the two inches you went in by before drawing the dart??
Hi.. coming across this tutorial is a blessing. You explained everything thoroughly. Thank you. I have a question, if you don't mind. Did you add the airstay to the back piece too? I don't think you did but i want to be sure.
It’s customized but a UK size 6/8. The horizontal measurements were measured and are not standard, so you can do the same and measure whoever you’d be making the dress for. From the shoulder to whatever point for each horizontal measurement.
Pls i have a question after you got your new shoulder line you said you measured your neck width( 2.5 inches) plus 1inch for the dart = 3.5inches pls did you take measurement from the neck line or after the two inches
I wouldn’t say it’s constant, it all depends on how wide you want it to be, you could reduce it slightly or even make it bigger. But if you’re going for this exact width you can make it 10 inches wider.
I used only crepe, cotton linen and hairstay. The cotton linen and the hairstay helped with the thickness, trimming out the excess allowance on the sides after sewing helped bring out the shape/make it stand better.

Please which material is this
Crepe fabric, you can see other materials I used at 8:57
Also you mentioned you wouldn’t have used 3 inches instead of 2.5 inches for the neck width. Does that affect the two inches you went in by before drawing the dart??
No it doesn’t affect the previous 2 inches .
I really appreciate this tutorial 😍, please did you use the manual machine throughout, I’m curious 🥹
Thank you! Yes I did use the manual sewing machine throughout, it’s the only one I have 😊
I give u 💯 for this 👍

Hi.. coming across this tutorial is a blessing. You explained everything thoroughly. Thank you.
I have a question, if you don't mind. Did you add the airstay to the back piece too? I don't think you did but i want to be sure.
You’re welcome! Yes I added to the back piece too, on the the main fabric .
@@Thelafashion Thank you.
Excellent ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Such a good video! 💕 what size is this dress pattern? And also Can you maybe pls share the measurement point for the standard horisontalt Lines ? ✨☺️
It’s customized but a UK size 6/8.
The horizontal measurements were measured and are not standard, so you can do the same and measure whoever you’d be making the dress for.
From the shoulder to whatever point for each horizontal measurement.
So net 😫 Tnk you very much for this tutorial 😢❤
Thankkk you 💕

😊😊welcome
Quick question please, can ankara be used to make this style?
Yes you can, might even be better because ankara is stiffer than crepe.
Sorry please, What did you put inside to make it stand?
Airstay
Thank you so much dearie
This is good…pls how many trouser of crepe did you use?
I used 2 yards of crepe as a size 8
Pls i have a question after you got your new shoulder line you said you measured your neck width( 2.5 inches) plus 1inch for the dart = 3.5inches pls did you take measurement from the neck line or after the two inches
Wow,
Thank you so much
You’re welcome!
Beautiful 🥰🥰🥰
If I am using heavy/thick crepe should I still use a lining?
Yes, you can use a very light linen
You’re Good ❤️😌
Thank you!
This is amazing 😊😊
What is the name of fabric please?
Nice skin❤
Thank you 😊
Please did you add 0.5 inch to your dartline while drafting??
Such a beautiful dress but I don’t understand the hairstay part
This is amazing!❤️❤️
Which fabric did you ise for the lining? What kind of stay did you use? Soft or hard?
Cotton linen
Hairstay (soft)
Nice tutorial! I see your waist line is 17.5 is that your original waist line or you went down by a few inches?
Thank you! 17.5 inches is just above my navel.
If one is gonna use tweed that’s a thick fabric, do we have to use linen and airstay?
You can use a linen that isn’t thick with airstay
Please how did you finish the neck?
Please how many yards of fabric did you use? Will two yards be enough?
I used 2 yards, I’m a size 8
can you please tell us the fabrics you used to make the dress?
It’s at 8:57
Is the inches you added constant,
If someone has a hip of 44, should I still add 10inches extra?
I wouldn’t say it’s constant, it all depends on how wide you want it to be, you could reduce it slightly or even make it bigger. But if you’re going for this exact width you can make it 10 inches wider.
This is so nice, pls how many yards of fabric did you use
Thank you!
2 yards crepe fabric
2 yards hairstay
I used 1.5 yards cotton linen (by 45 inches) but I ended up trying to manage it.
@@Thelafashion does the crepe have stretch?
Yes a little bit, but it lost its stretch after I ironed the hairstay to it.
I love you already❤
Ma can i use ankara print for this ?
Yes you can
What fabric is this
I cannot wait to make this dress😭😭😭😭😭😭😭💅💅
Tag me in results 😊
How do you join the linen that it lay very well like that?
I made sure to top stitch it and also iron after.
@@Thelafashion thank you
How many inches did you take in from your original waist measurement?
About 1- 1.5 inch
If i have a very thick crepe, do i still need to add lining and stay?
Yes, you can use light linen in that case.
@@Thelafashion what kind of stay? soft or hard sstay?
Hair stay(soft)
How many yards of crepe did you use please?🥹
2 yards
@@Thelafashion thank you
What fabric did you use please? I tried it with crepe but it didn't Stand
Pls did u use interfacing with your crepe , I want to know if I should rather buy scuba material for mine
