Banned episodes are in season 2 this was one of them. The other is ‘Pause’ ‘The Uncle Ruckus Reality Show’ and ‘The Story of Jimmy Rebel’
Oh Fantastic! Well, in that case, I believe we're good and on track. Episode 15 will be out early tomorrow! :)

Also, according to rumors, the reason that this, along with the next episode, was banned from air is because Aaron, the creator and main writer of the comics (newspaper comic strips that came before the show) and first three seasons of the show, hated BET, and made these episodes to express his hate by making fun of the executives. Apparently Viacom, parent company of BET, threatened litigation against Sony, producers of this show, if this episode was to air.
Very Interesting as well as the comment below! Thanks Gab! -M@
Also Weggie Rudland is a parody of Reggie Hudlin who was actually a co creator of the Boondocks show but he left early in development and took the president position at BET
@@sfranchise712WOOW ...talk about tradin places
Al Sharpton inspired Rollo Goodlove. Al once staged a protest against The Boondocks at a time and location where the nation of Islam had an unrelated protest, which they satirized with Rollo and The Sisters of 2nd Amendment. Also, Weggie Rudlin (guy who was proposing a "hoe-ward show") used to be a friend of the creator of Boondocks and is credited as an executive producer during the intro. He went on to work at BET and they just roasted him in here
Oh wow. Didn't know that
Grandad’s “You do what you can” has stuck with me ever since I’ve heard it
I still give this advice to people when I can. It's oddly... comforting.
BET was so pissed about this episode it only aired once on TV
Yeah that's what we've heard 😂
Thanks for watching with us and the comment 🙏-M@
@@WellHelloSilly The evil woman is the guy from Austin Powers.
@@johnbaron2228You mean Dr. Evil from "Austin Powers" that she was Based on.
The song that Rollo Goodlove singed at his rally is actually a song called Go Go Gadget Gospel by band Knarls Barkley which Cee Lo Green is a part of along with Danger Mouse. Also the most overlooked aspect of this episode is that While Huey is on a hunger strike, Rollo Goodlove is constantly stuffing his face in front of him. 😅😅😅
Hahaha I know. That was so rude of him to eat in front of him. I didn't think Huey would last that long either. 💓-Ash
@@WellHelloSilly 🤣🤣🤣🤣
It's 'sung' not 'singed' jesus fkn christ😂😂😂
Cee-Lo did an amazing job as Reverend Rollo Goodlove. He’s one of my favorite characters next to Huey and A Pimp Named Slickback. 😂
I didn't know what to think of him at first. In fact, my reaction to seeing him the first time, as Rollo was kinda shocking 😂
I thought I just was making a joke when I said that sounded like him, but never would I have guessed that they actually got him to voice Rollo.
What made me think of Cee-Lo, besides the voice, was the "shape" of his character 🤣
This show is too much! ❤️😂
Ceelo has done a lot of work with Adult Swim in general, on and off the screen. he's a real OG artist and makes really good music. but his voice acting he only really has the 1 voice lol.
@@env0x Oh really? I’m not familiar with all his work on Adult Swim, but I have heard some of his music. He definitely has talent. 👍🏾
That's awesome and interesting 🤔 Thank you for the interaction env0x 🫶🙏-M@
@@SnazzyIndividual yep! he was in robot chicken and i actually first heard of him from the brak show before the crazy song came out. he played a rapper called Prime Cut Miggity-Mo' Macdaddy Gizzabang Doggy Dog Dog.
I can’t wait till y’all watch the one where uncle ruc finds out he’s black 😂
It's ironic that he just talked about banned episodes and this is the first banned episode. This is my favorite episode.
Thank you so much for watching with us and the interaction Beatz 😁🤙-M@
FUN FACT these episodes as far as I know were only banned in the US. I saw this episode air in Canada in 2008 while on a school field trip
Really!? Only the US? 🤔
That's nuts, you'd figure the US wouldn't care, especially with the shit South Park gets away with 😅😂
We've learned that there were banned episodes from OG viewers like yourself, but I'm curious who had full control over the ban. Thank you so much for watching with us and the comment.
We love talking and learning from everyone. Thanks again Dex! 😊🙏-M@
@@WellHelloSilly They were banned because The main figures they were making fun of were the heads of BET and Tyler Perry. It became political because of this between BET and Cartoon Network/Adult Swim
Most if not all episodes are based on real events. They make satire of it, and put their own spins on it. Most events are black related, you guys miss a lot, but you guys catch things too. Love watching 👍🏿.
Hey Christian! Thank you so much for watching with us and understanding that yeah, we'll miss some things, some times it's super embarrassing too and we know it (hence turning bright red lol)
Just glad you could have a good laugh with/at us 😅🫶🙏-M@
Seeing as it's not mentioned, for anyone interested, the song at 08:35 is Go Go Gadget Gospel - Gnarlz Barkley (confirming that Rev. Rollo Goodlove is played by CeeLo Green)
You guys are the most adorable couple ever I love you I love you I love you RUclips just popped you up to me I subscribed and I'm enjoying every minute of it too funny too funny both of you just make it so fun to watch like having you next to me in my couch
Hi👋🏼👋🏼👋🏼. Thank you so much.🙏🏼🙏🏼 And welcome to the Sillies!! ❤️. That is what we like to hear from our viewers and what we want. Thank you again 😊🙏🏼 💓-Ash
What becomes of Uncle Ruckus after this episode is everything 🤣
That's what we hear! We're excited to get to it. It'll be this week! 😁🙏
-M@
Yeah, what the guy was saying was that this episode was originally going to be the 4th. That's why we get the part of Huey introducing him in this one like he's new.
Oooohhh, there's so many little details! I love it! ❤️ - Ash
Love y’all reaction once again 🤣Next episode will be Uncle Ruckus reality show btw. Oh and did you notice Granddad always sings something with the same tune?cuz he juss makes it up. Thought I’ll juss point that one out 😅
Haha. I did, but didn't...
If that makes sense.
I'll listen a bit closer, but know exactly what you mean. Thanks for sharing as always 🙏😊

@@WellHelloSilly Yeah I gotchu. But no problem.
Love u guys. Felt so bad for Huey in this episode
As Always Love Seeing Your Reactions, Katy & Otis
This is the banned episode, loved this one!
Fuck i cant wait for that jimmy rebel episode lol
Ashley picked up some wine for tonight and is off for a few days! We won't let you down Shawn 😂👍👍
@WellHelloSilly lmao oh yeah this is definitely an episode you'll need a drink or two for
"Having dinner with Puffy!" had a certain negative, gay connotation to it because of his current scandals and freak-offs!!!😅
Y'all gotta know Reverend Al Sharpton 😂 12:06 but yea ideally he's a mix of all but looks more like Al... remember Jesse Jackson calls him while on air for the "S-word" episode. Thats how he was able to promote his "bet" show
If I went to the hospital, I’d want Ashley to treat me!
Before BET was sold to the media corporation Viacom in the early 2k, it had very positive reviews for the variety of shows and quality content. Since the Sale by the private Owner Robert Johnson who retired after the sale (around 2005), there was a major shift in the shows presented by the network for which the writer of Boodocks in particular, M. McGruder has been very vocal and critical of the direction of the network and the degradation of quality of shows. The reason why BET is presented in some of his episodes in such light.
Even until now, it's has been a very mixed bag of emotions about how the black community feels about BET in general and for which there was a recent attempt by Tyler Perry to try and become a majority owner of the network and ultimately bring back better overall content.
We'll see how the future goes on this one.
Woah, thank you for such detail
And for watching with us, Gus
😁🙏-M@
Now Tyler Perry is selling about to be in some mess with Christian Keys!!!
I think sharpton is a reverend as well
Yeah, I was actually thinking the same thing at some point while watching this. I swear I thought that I've heard "Reverend" for both.
Thanks for watching with us :)

@20:56 Uncle Rukus is refering to a famous saying during the Muhammad Ali and George Foreman fight, Rumble in the Jungle, which took place in The Democratic Republic of the Congo. After Ali knocked Foreman out in the 8th round people were chanting "Ali bomaye" which means Ali kill him. So basically Uncle Ruckus is telling BET to kill the black man in the scenario he was talking about. 😂
Anyone notice that was the tune raucous was saying was the same as Ali in ziare
The song on here is his song with danger mouse as their group Gnarls Barkley. Song is called go go gadget gospel
And then the white man walks into the white man savior This is very deep and funny
The Tyler Perry Madea episode of the Boondocks was banned because Tyler Perry was in his feelings when the writers told the truth about him.
Was it not because he used Tyler perry's actual name of the character rather than say it is Tyler Perry, Winston Howard
First of all, wanting to know, which episodes were banned and then watching one was a hilarious coincidence lol. I think the CEO of BET is a mix of dr evil and the female villain from Captain Planet.
Thumbs up 👍 to you sir fo the Sharpton reference. Dude is a f@#king snake
Hey, thanks for watching with us and the comment, lol. We greatly appreciate it and other viewers like you. Thanks again for kicking it with us, through this journey of ours 🙏-M@

Good love is a satire of Rev Al Sharpton.
Haha! Yes!! 😂🫶🤙-M@
It's been happening to all music industry but the white the country the rap and the RB industry black entertainment industry the white industry also There is a 2 sided face of those who are saying we support the children but at the same time Like what's happening right now with puffy and the industry people are not getting paid contracts are being hold over their head if they don't do certain things so it's not a race Race or racial thing For the industry itself that promotes young peoples liberation and creativity but at the same time stealing from them the basketball and the football in the street does the same thing College football is the biggest hypocrite Play for our school but you can't sell your T-shirt you can't get sponsored It touches them a lot of topic in a scandal way But it makes 6 points
i love this song cee lo my G
I can't believe that was him! 😅-M@
8:02 there was never a strike against BET…..
I was seriously wondering because I would've thought that'd be big news, but clearly we're in the dark on a lot of issues 🤦
Either way, I really appreciate you watching with us and taking time outta your day to interact with us. Much appreciated 😁🙏-M@
@@WellHelloSilly … no problem guys … I’m 50 and I’m a huge fan of boondocks..!!! I have the entire box set all 4 seasons…. So if you guys have any questions I’d be happy to answer them for you
This episode shouldve aired before the S word episode.
100% Sharpton
If y’all get to season 4, don’t have your hopes to high. Season 4 was a reboot of the boondocks in 2014 and that season just isn’t the same as s1-3, despite that there’s still like 2-3 good episodes in season 4 though.
Well based on that and others have hinted at that as well, is it worth us watching? Thank you so much for the detailed comment. We appreciate ya and watching with us :)
-M@
@@WellHelloSilly I would say it wouldn’t hurt to still watch season 4 and if you feel like it’s not catching your interest then to stop, but who knows y’all may actually like it and on top of that everybody is different when it comes to what they do and don’t like, and also np at all.. I like these reaction videos their very live and funny 💪🏾💯
@@WellHelloSillyThe original creator isn't involved with season 4
12:11 Rollo Goodlove character is based on Reverends Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson right you are Ashley
There wasn't a strike against BET, But its factual they have become poisonous over the past 30 plus yrs. I'm old enough to remember good days of BET.
Shows like Teen Summit, BET News, and educational specials. HBCU Football games. It was an entertainment channel no doubt. The music videos weren't as raunchy as they've become, back in the day BET wouldn't show such videos.
Ever since Ben Johnson sold it, it became such trash. I remember you could watch BET, damn near all day because the programming was good. Now i don't even recognize it, i really dont know anyone that watches it anymore. I haven't watched it in over a decade. Poor Huey .
Sounds like how us 35-40+ whites feel about MTV 😅
It's freaking TRASH now, but back in the day they actually had some decent content and MUSIC VIDEOS! Imagine THAT! 🙄
Appreciate your interaction and kicking it with us 😁🙏-M@
the booty warrior was real too
Rev Al Sharpton.
Yup!! That's who it was! Lol. Love this show! Thanks for watching with us 😁🤙-M@

@@WellHelloSilly got it
😂
any reverend with love in their name is not to be trusted
Rev rollo good love
Rev Leroy Loveyarite
Or rev lovetrain Jenkins
I made the last two up but avoid them all
I have never watched BET. It is a garbage network.
The airing of this episode is kinda whack (as I've mentioned in the Stinkmeaner episode, production order ≠ airing order), cuz in the last episode with Rollo Goodlove, _The S-Word,_ Huey already knew that him "helping" is just a facade that'll get _him_ all the money and benefits from whatever the cause of the people he is "helping" is, but in this episode, which was, obviously, produced way before The S-Word, yet aired after it, it's Huey's first time meeting Rollo in person, evident by him falling in his game and needing a clarification as to who he is when he got a call from him.
Sent you guys an email.
Awesome!! Thank you Lawrence for the content! 🙏
