I love the feeling when you make a great save and everybody just cheers you up, and of course my parents are against me for being a goalie, they said that if you loose you're the one who gets blamed and if you win you get no appreciation, but that is wrong, I just wanna know how to convince them that what they think about being a goalie is wrong and that there so many well known goalie's
Just tell them that you're the one who ends up saving the day when everyone fails and when u do fail u can't get the blame cz the player could pass through both defense and offense and all i could do was give it a risky attempt 🤷🏼

Honestly same, i was a striker but in one session i played goalie and coach asked me to stay keeper and i accepted. i got the flame from my parents cos well, on the silver screen all hype and spotlight is given to strikers and middies, so to my parents its like i got demoted.

He is not bullshittimg about patience!👍 Just look at the Belguim game, his leg saves were timed beatifualy most goalkeepers would have already panicked towards the grass. When i make a leg save i imagine i'm Tim Howard😎

I’ve been in your position. When you have a strong player you just gotta cut the angle make it harder for them to shoot. If you pressure enough they can’t shoot and try to dribble around you and that’s when you sweep the ball from them by diving. Main point beat them before they beat you.
The best advice that I can give coming from an indoor goalkeeping side of things is just react don't think about how hard they're going to hit it or where they're going to hit it just make your reaction to save that ball because the second you start thinking about it that's when you mess up
You can't train yourself to overcome the fear you simply react to what is happening, if you thought of the fear everytime then you wouldn't get to anything, think of the 1st few times you dived on hard ground or dived to the feet of a striker you reacted to the situation and you dealt with it. In short, ts all about reactions, the striker isn't aiming for you, he wants to score you're there to stop him
I agree that your biggest competition is yourself but I totally disagree that if you have players in your club that drive you to be better, you are in the wrong organization. I do not understand that comment. Isn't that what a team is? I totally get that GK are in a tougher position than outfield players and the guys who are #2 and #3 keepers want your spot, but surely them fighting to get your spot will make you better.
