Poker's odd couple. We need a reality show with Phil and Dan either traveling the world playing poker or like rooming together for the wsop or something.
Love the format of these videos. Super interesting to see how two different ways of thinking about a lot of situations still gives you both a lot of success in poker. GL from Norway Phil!
Haha this was gold! Jungle talking about wrinkling up your falcon wings and hearing both of your thoughts on the hands is awesome. Didn't know you had made 4 other parts so will be stoked to check them out.
Yeah, and I honestly didn't like the jam by Phil, but he ended up winning all the money that way. The solver may or may not say it's correct, but in real time I don't think it's right.
How does "Its not the first fierce bird of prey that I've faced" not get more love? Its like the words are randomly drawn from a lottery one at a time and Jungle starts laughing himself at how good it turns out.
We've played each other a lot, which plays a part there. Now that I think of it, I've spent an uncomfortable amount of time thinking about Jungle's thoughts.
@@PhilGalfond no. thank YOU. for sharing this w/ everyone. including people like me who have to freeze the video to figure out who has what, because 4 cards . . .
These are amazing to have both of you on the commentary -- was he bluffing the river as much as it appears, and did you sort of adjust your river calling range to that?
This was very enjoyable. Aside from the entertainment, I learned a couple of things. Granted, I'm a microstakes player but every little bit of knowledge helps. Jungleman: Thanks for explaining the small bet logic. I knew that block bets are used but I thought it was basically just for protection to stop a better, marginal hand from raising. or to reveal the strength of a much better hand? Betting small and check-calling but losing the same amount makes sense, in addition to the fact that you can sometimes pick up pots that you shouldn't. Again, thank you. Phil: On the last hand, 33k34 hand, where Jungle had TT and you had JJ, what made you conclude that he was playing it like he had queens or tens and TT and that was about as thin as he could pot the river? With a king on the board, facing a pot bet, wouldn't you be more inclined to think that he had aces?
pretty sure he means that aces probably doesnt check the flop...trying to get value from Kx on a K33 rainbow board, and given it was a 3b pot pre... that somewhat excludes 1010 and he blocks the jacks
i think it's fair to say jungle is officially in the 'tyson zone' for wardrobe. this is not a televised event. he's just casually wearing a joke outfit at home. we're approaching intervention time.
I love how to an outsider this sounds like a strategy video game that's free-to-play but these guys are playing nosebleeds. Absolute legends. I love you Jungle and Phil. Oh and Run It Once is an awesome site I am enjoying ny membership.
Loved this video!!! You seem to do your best calling when you go with your instincts, Phil Galfond. I've noticed that poker players sometiimes bet a little less when they DO NOT want you to get away, and they want to play with you like my cat does when he finds a rodent or bug.
I have 3 kids a lovely wife and a regular 9 to 5 job. I love poker and i want to be a full time poker player but my wife dont want me to pursue it do to variance. What would you suggest me to do?
THIS FOOTAGE IS SO KEY . Despite They are Geniuses , they got a ton of experience , they know solvers ecc......IT 'S STILL A GUESSING GAME. IA cant compete with Human Brains , there are too many details to analyze .
Hope you had a good Superbowl. I have some information. There could be some focus or even marketing type material for b&m poker or a differentiation between the two types. There could also be more focus on teaching qualities and advice from you on building a personality that can be successful on and away from the poker table.
Quit playing poker and dropped all delusions that Id ever be competitive many many years ago. Watching these guys play and talk through their hands and perception of the other players hand solidly confirms that I'm a chimp figuring out how to use a stick in comparison.
So great phil you should make a video about your first summer in vegas... i got pictures of you wildn!!! But never would share Ship It player. You changed me and my friends lives. Mad love and respect you where always a nice normal nerd. From alan sas la friends from the 1st ship it house holla! @@le9335 This game can't be solved by a solver. Only certain spots which are clear as water. Gotta use ur brain instead in my mind. You can't play like a machine, you gonna get fuc*ed if trying to do that against me lol
I honestly think that this series is the best poker content ever made
Thank you so much!
Literally. Criminally underrated and underviewed
Please do this for nlhe
14:08 "he really likes to have fun 😋" - Phill, after a successful hero call
14:11 - "tilting as fuck 😡" - Jungle
"He's having too much fun" TRUE
Was literally just about to comment this 😂
The juxtaposition of both of you here is such original and fantastic content. I’m also almost overwhelming a NLHE player too but I love this.
Thank you 😊

Dropped the like before watching, best PLO content on the internet. Thank you 2 and your editor!
Thank you!
Standard practice to help the alg for Phil since he gives us top tier content and his time at no cost
Your editor deserves a raise Phil
Hard to argue with that!

I'm very happy to hear you enjoyed this one, have fun watching the other parts!
this is such a great video, love seeing both of their reactions and though processes for each hand
Thank you!!
These edits are as good as poker content could get imo
Agreed!!
Also have to say Jungle handled that 120k beat REALLY well, true pro

Great to see the talking/thought process in every single hand❤
Great content, fun to see two different personalities basically doing banter poker in real time. Jungle saying Falcons gets me every time lol
Thank you! 😊
Well done to the editor!
Crushed it again!
thanks to both you guys for showing the hands!!! great content, well edited, this is great

😂😂😂😂😂
Massive fan of heads up challenges. Especially these two legends. Couldnt find two more different personalities

Crazy how right they are about each others hands and thoughts. I guess thats why they're pros.

this is unbelievable content, Phil.
my hat is off to your editor for putting this togehter.

How have i only come across this now ! Thank you, this must have been so hard to make
Yes, this was amazing. It blew my mind how many times you guys figured each others thought process out and where correct.
I absolutely LOVE this format!!
Jamming on turn to deny equity? I thought we shouldn’t bet for protection 🤔 16:45
Touché
I still suspect it’s a solver approved play but probably bad in a vacuum.
24:08 that's pure gold omg 🤣
so why is it actually 10x displayed amounts? you pay each other the remainder afterwards?
This is a fantastic series. Awesome content, Phil!
Man, jungle is so creative with the bluffs. Some really high level stuff. You caught on and made some nice calls Phil

If there was an award for best poker video, this would be the winner.

whoa this is the best poker content I've seen. I love that we get to hear from both of you. why cross book and not just play higher stakes instead?
Besides all the birdtalk you both of you are actually very point on. Even talking about your opponents thought prosesses. Great game both.

Why not just choose the winner based on ev instead of flips? There's already so much variance

You know, I think this is like BerriSweet vs AmSoGood, except I feel your poker personality is AmSoGood, and Jungle's personality is like BerriSweet.
I feel the same 😂
Falcons!
This makes me wanna play plo

Well on the next session Jungle hit the one outer in a huge pot so he got his revenge :)
I've been told that sooner or later, Jungleman always gets his revenge.
Great content. Also makes me appreciate Jungle more. I really dig his autism.
