Just imagine how powerful the next prime soul will be
Noting how Sisyphus seemingly obliterated his flesh prison while only being aware of it as soon as you entered kinda hints that the prime souls weren't just imprisoned inside the flesh prisons, but were also seemingly unconscious or unaware that they were trapped. Minos and Sisyphus could have escaped a long time ago as they were strong enough to do so, but they were only trapped because they did not know they were.
Also now that I think of it, I feel like Satan could be the last Prime Soul, since it's heavily hinted that heaven now runs the place, with Gabriel taking on Minos' role, and the angels floating around hell.
They are prime souls, so maybe their souls are trapped in the prisons and they can only take physical form after being free’d. This would explain why Sisyphus’s portrait in greed shows him as a human/humanoid, while Sisyphus the prime soul looks like a ghost.
Imo it'd be kinda lame if Satan were the last Prime soul. I mean so far all the Prime souls were great and influential humans who made the heavens angry in some way, if the last one were to just be Satan instead of a human it wouldn't feel right to me tbh.
I have a feeling that the 3rd prime boss will be either Ulysses or Diomedes, both are Greek kings and both are supposedly trapped in the eight layer of hell (fraud)

P-3 will require you to injure yourself so that adrenaline will start to flow if the difficulty progression remains consistent

I genuinely got chills from the Panopticon being used as less of a boss and more of a warm-up.
You expect it to be a grueling fight like Flesh Prison, but then Sisyphus _punches his way out of it_ and does most of the damage for you as a demonstration of how strong HE is.
I also love that his second phase is him slowly regaining his face. As if the first round was him shaking out the cobwebs and you've truly reawakened the warrior in him.
also, when you see his corpse in the room where you get the alternate nail gun, his entire head is missing, which explains why during his first phase his face isn't how it is in the painting that's also in the same room with the alternate nail gun.
also like to mention that the flesh prisons arent meant to be sentient

The first time I played through this and heard the voiceline: "This prison... To hold... ME?!" and seeing his arm stick through the Panopticon, the first thought that came to mind was: "WELL GUESS I'LL DIE THEN."
I didn't even realize he busted out of the prison until watching a video.
the first time i fought him i saw his arm busted out and died due to the fact that i was too focused on him in order to realize that i have lil to no hp and that the panopticon was still shooting bullets at me when he reached his arm out
I just want to mention that this is the hardest P-2 will ever be, since there are 4 unreleased weapons and 1 unreleased arm which will make this easier in the future. This guy is a legend

sisyphus seems more, "expressive" compared to minos, you can easily tell that sisyphus wasn't nearly as just nor compassionate as minos. i believe that prime souls' forms are based off of how they were when they were still living.
minos had a ripped physique, he was faceless and had still kept his crown.
sisyphus was a little, "big", he still had his face, although twisted into a sinister smile, which may symbolize how he hadn't regretted a single second of his life, knowingly fighting a losing battle against heaven. his body is golden to symbolize his greed, his feet were stained in red as a callback to insurrectionists, he hadn't kept his crown, as he wasn't a just ruler. he's obviously bigger than minos, maybe to symbolize the sheer power difference.
personally i prefer minos by a longshot, he's such an interesting character. although sisyphus could definitely be improved he's still a great boss.

I like Sisyphus (as a character) a bit more than minos.
His personality and ideology oozes out of his words just like minos but he is so different. Minos was selfless and always devote his life to his people. Minos always puts his people well-being as his highest priority which is why he is so visibly saddened by his death. He can't protect his people nor his creation and he could do *nothing* about it. Sisyphus is much different from Minos. He lives his life to the absolute fullest, Doing whatever he can without expecting to succeed and gracefully embracing his life and death in spite of the futility in his actions. Such a fucking awesome dude.

I totally understand people that say that minos is still better and that Sisyphus is just a buffed rip-off.
However I believe that every prime soul is supposed to be like that with you fighting their flesh cube jail thing and freeing them just to hear a sick monologue about them wanting to beat the living shit out of gabriel followed by a "die!" equivalent that might be a reference to your health being set to 0 immediately afterwards. And the only difference between them being the damage output, speed and moves.
But it's still funny how the man literally grows himself a beard after entering phase 2

You can. If you slide spam and do 1 or 2 dashes, you can avoid it, but it varies since Sisyphus teleports so much

The most I've seen of being able to dodge it "correctly" is to get far enough to where it does its minimal damage, sliding is barely worth it since it gives him more chance to confuse you with his teleportation b.s. Also dodging doesn't seem worth since its better to save them :P

Damn, I can’t believe someone’s already P-ranked it. I died so many times on the dual Mindflayer part, mostly because they kept tanking my coins.
I pulled out the cheats the moment the dual mindflayers part came up.
the mindflayers are invincible until you destroy their idols (later in the level, after they spawn), so don't bother attacking them so early. use them to your advantage and parry their orbs for healing.

Well done! It took me over an hour and ~160-170 retries to get through my first run, but I'm excited to be able to P-rank this after some practice.
Act 2 was the "fuck around" phase... Sisyphus Prime is the "find out" phase.

MAN I though I was good at this game until P-2 dropped. fuckin took 55 tries. It's took like almost half an hour but it feels like 2 fuckin days.
It took me over an hour and 68 retries to get though my first run. I beat the level on the 69 attempt...
Personally, I prefer Sisyphus over Minos. He’s more chaotic, more willing to fight, as he’s fought many battles before. He has a personality like “I’m not scared of anything I face in battle” hence why he tells V1 to “Keep ‘em coming!” His speech was so cool, as well as him forcefully ripping his way out of the panopticon after it had only been reduced to half its health. His voice lines are less about justice, and more about winning, really showing his true greed. Overall my favorite level and boss.

I do not like how minos had clear parry timings and nice fight choreography, and sys has so much going on that everyone is just outdamaging him.
Literally me unable to parry him when he knocks me back with every smack which sends me back. Even when I parry the mofo he hits me at the same time to nullify the heals from parry. No point in parrying other then damage negation... If you're skilled or lucky.
that's how it was with Minos at first as well. give it some time and people will have all the information on it and know what to look for
Sisyphus is always a little bit faster than you think he is, but he's definitely not unfair, he just catches you off guard sometimes (also the timing to dodge and parry "DESTROY" is weird)

Took me 72 tries and about 2 hours, and you know what?, It was really fun, very similar to minus prime, and it was good seeing how i got better and better every Time i tried, very good boss.
i love the part were he just comes out of panopticon like a badass
this level took me an hour and forty minutes, 187 retries, and you already p-ranked it, only like 2 hours after the update was launched too. Goddamn is all i have to say
Funny, It took me an hour, 39 minutes and 168 retires. Not trying to one up you, but its funny to see someone else get almost identical numbers.
Took me 55 retries and about 27 mins. I felt like I unknowingly used the *_7th sense_* playing this shit lmao.

I have beaten P-2 in 2 hours. My right forearm hurts, because it was hitting the edge of my table. My pinky metacarpal joint hurts, because I was hitting the slide button with it too many times. My sanity has absoluty drained from my soul and my nervous have burned themselves for the sake of not witnessing my misery.

Idk why people think Sisyphus only fought for himself. In my mind, he would fight for himself and his own people in equal measure, and in doing so live his life to the absolute fullest as a man whose life was defined by struggle for himself, and for everyone around him.
he was selfish as hell to end up in the greed layer but that doesn't mean he can't also, like, view his people as also deserving what he feels he does by extension

I find concept of the boss fights in this game are so captivating to me, two combatants locked in a duel so fleeting but beautiful for non existent audiences. Skill and talent on full display.
My favorite part about p-2 is the virtues behind the door and the idol mindflayers
I havent played Ultrakill in months and was especting the update to get anounced like the wrath+heresy update did but to my surprise last night it was already out

6-1 is a squirtgun by comparison
It took me 2 hours and 220 restarts but I had so much fun trying to re-lsarn the game as I get used to Pisyphus' attacks that it didnt matter
I am not P ranking this any time soon tho, also the way SP ends the fight with PP early had me confused for 5 mins straight since I didnt know if this was a bug or nah
Overall this sure was a supriee return to one of the hardest games I ever played
Now let's say that there will be a hypothetical P-4 that to unlock you have to P-Rank every level in the Game, including the other P levels

Bruh the best option at start with cerberi is malnuke which leaves them with enough low hp to be killed by something like shotgun proboost.

I know that this is offtopic, and a pointless observation in a meme game, but man do I love the sound design / engineering in Ultrakill. Someone on the dev team really gets it there.
Sisyphus death dialogue is a perfect example of it - literally sends shivers down your spine, the way the silence, the dialogue, the impeding explosion and reverberating silence afterwards. Just *cheffs kiss*.

I had so much fun with this level. The music was so good, and the guitars had me playing so frantically.

it's not easier, you've just beaten Minos to get here
if you beated minos, Sis is a lot easier because his attacks are basically a copy and paste from Minos, but a bit more buffed, and he has more health

This video fucking rocks because it's hugely impressive yet unpolished - and that's a compliment. I love watching people actually go crazy and work for the p rank and you can tell they were pushing for it. The flawless videos of p rank with like no damage taken and insane strats and perfect dead coin shit is super impressive too, but it feels so much less genuine than this. Bravo!
