Nightmare was Powerless when his weapon is destroyed and Dream he got most of Nightmares powers so this means u don’t need to train just train for a few 5 years and ur ready to go against nightmare because if he was literally powerless when dream had lots of power and his weapon was already destroyed so his main weaknesses are seeing Dream in a picture and second weakness is his main weapon getting destroyed will get him to lose all of his powers so u don’t even need to train much just train for 4-9 years so u can get him weakened enough then u can use the picture finally u just need Dream to finish him off

I like how with Dream, Sapnap, and Bad Nightmare didn't go into his all black mode at first, like he was toying with them. But with techno he knew that it's getting serious so he went try hard mode at the start
Its his backup battery to keep him going through the fight. The toying with them is also seen in when he makes himself look like dream to inflict mental pain and anguish on his enemies

I like how we barely focused on Technos fighting, but his genius, he showed Dream the picture, he split the Soul Reaper Staff thing.
It holds the souls of his victims, but as dream is his host, when broken the spirit flew free, and allowed dream to break from nightmares grasp and defeat him, but he perished due to his absolute God mode costed his soul.

Dream uses his remaining energy and this leads to an sad ending. Dream sacrifices himself and wastes his remaining energy and died. Dream was the main protagonist of the series
I actually think it’s because he destroyed his opposite. One can’t survive without the other. Which is why when nightmare sees the photo of dream and techno he turns back into dream which allows dream to tell techno how to defeat nightmare. It’s still sad but a good animation either way
