I saw the these guys live in 2022. Needless to say after walking out of the venue, getting in my car, driving literally 250 miles back home, and 1 week later..I was stunned in the best way possible. AMAZING. Can’t wait to see them again. But I gotta take off a few days to recover..
I've been listening to the first 12 seconds of the song over and over trying to figure it out. The low notes punctuate a fours beat but it makes more sense to count it in threes? I think I'm going to see if somebody has done a song analysis lol. It feels like it tricks you into feeling the wrong beat at first
@@xkidgey I think a lot of this is in 4/4 based on what I hear, probably with a couple of bars with different time signatures here and there. I have no idea how to interpret the intro tho
i wouldn't say better than a PRS, but close to equal to the best PRS stuff. never thought i'd see a guitar get anywhere near as close to PRS. esp isn't a bad brand or anything, but javier's model is totally different than what they're going for normally. easily in the top 5, maybe top 3 of all artist sig models that ESP has ever done. top 1 and 2 go to metallica and stephen carpenter, of course
This song would definitely be the crowd-pleaser because you can tell how much fun the guys are having and are so into it especially Javier haha might be one of his favorites in my opinion. Him and Tosin dissonant/harmonic banter at 2:13 was so fucking cool (So fucking heavy). That's why I would rather be in a band than to perform solo projects because you learn from your bandmates and just have fun with sounds haha love it! The song really ends at 4:20 haha
@@elmoblatch9787 Yeah, because that was absolutely quintessential to everything he said. Also, in this context it needs to be "His" and "Tosin's". You know, if you want to nitpick so desperately, do it right.
@@tym5483 I’ll check them out but I’m with the other guy. It’s hard to find a djent band that is interesting outside of the norm, creating their own personality. Some other bands aren’t as interesting to me either. Gotta find the right amount of djent. This song makes me wanna get up and get things done animals as leaders fuc**** jam! Found them through scale the summit during high-school and haven't stopped listening 🫡!
Let me re-play this thing, cause the definitions of super Badass-heavy and insane progressive metal have been updated ... My favorite of the group, it opened my head to the sound of the band some years ago.
My favorite part of every AAL live video is the less technical part of the song where they have a moment to vibe without concentrating on what theyre playing for 15 seconds lmaooooo. so goated
Got to meet tosin a few times. Met josier once. It was before they had Matt. Absolute gems. I can’t believe I got to shake hands with such professionals. What insane people. I love them.
Underrated? They're probably the current kings of Prog Metal, and also probably the most respected within the community. I guess if you compare them to mainstream music sure, but this sort of music will never reach those levels.
Sick ! if you've never seen it before, you have now , AAL has left me so spoiled musically, it just ain't fair to music, nothing else will do , oh man is there a doctor in the house ....
Se me hizo, como un recuerdo renovadl, de los mejores de esos tiempos que no se pierden pero tienden a perderse a los lejos, una conversación entre Robert Fripp y Adrian con las guitarras, y un batera en otro tiempo.

@@will66kg91 I'm talking about the small crash he added, not the 18" ones. I actually own those two 18" crashes and really like their tone, so I'm curious what model the smaller crash is since it mates well sonically.
Imagine switching places with any of these three for ten seconds. Meaning, you enter their body, with your brain. Now try to find 15 seconds of playing in this (or any of their songs for that matter) that you could feasibly handle.
I’ve come to conclusion that this song just THIS song is a encumbrance of all MegaMan games, to the boss fight. It sets the tone and intensity Then delivers! And you must win or you can’t fully respect it…
So much easier said than done especially the more technical you get and these guys are TECHNICAL but I wish there was more movement headbanging DANCING
I remember when Tosin Abasi first mentioned his inspiration for this song listening to Nickelback's "photograph" , and I said well you're not gonna play a better guitar than Nickelback or Coldplay but just try, and then he wrote this. Big facts.
These guys understand music in a different way than most people do
Yes. But what I feel is these guys explain music just to help us understand.
The way they understand music is the way I understand your mother.

I'd show them Meshuggah.

Javier is playing the most gorgeous guitar I've ever seen in my entire life
Fact!
If the insanity of the music isn't enough for you, here are some colours and lights to throw you off a bit more!
