- This is a comparison of the Maxon AD-900 with the Ibanez AD-80.
These two analog classics are about the same age and sonically they are pretty close to each other. If you ever get the chance, to get one of them on the second hand market, got for it. Here you can find out, which one, you should get.

Love shootouts like this, great sounds here from both!
How to choose... they both sound awesome!
Great comparison. Please do a comparison of the EHX Deluxe Memory Man and the Akai Headrush E2!
Both sound awesome
Oh cool I didn’t realize Ibanez made AD-80s also. I have 3 Maxon AD-80 (I know they are basically the same) and a couple AD-900s. They are so easy to find here in Tokyo.
What is s? Stereo?
@@andivax Oh I just meant I have 2 AD-900 effects.
@@K8aMiura I ❤️ Maxon pedals
They sound very similar. AD 80 sounds like its pushing into oscillation a lot more but its kind of awesome. Have you tried the maxon ad10?
I agree.
I haven´t tried the maxon ad10 yet. But it´s still on my list.
Both good.
Maxon has that analog "bite"
Ibanez is more natural
I’m curious about the AD-900 vs the newer AD-999. Any experience? Is there a comparison coming anytime soon?
Edit: I absolutely love the concept of being a niche comparison channel! So cool to have all delay comparisons in one spot!
i have two 900's and one 999 .. i can say that they are very very similar, almost identical (900 is a bit softer&warmer , 999 is a bit darker)...the knobs behave a bit different between the units and the ms is higher on the 999 but if u set them on the same settings (volume, speed and repeats) the are sounds almost the same...the only thing thats annoying on the ad900 is that you need a 12V adaptor with a reverse polarity cable
This is what happens when you pay the camera guy with beer and hallucinogens.
ad80 has more ambient with the delay , and 900 more cleaner. If for ambience , I choose 80 , for tap rhythm choose 900.
Ich bucket Brigade...Eimerketten Analog with Taktung😯🐒💖💖🐒🙌🇩🇪I Love my old Yamaha D1500 RackDelay...Midi...good!
Long Time ago I Selfmade a analog Reverb with IC...FlipFlop Frequenz,2 512er IC and Lowpass Filter for the Audio...Ist was ok with a little Bit Mouse😂😂😂😂💖Noise
