- "Up" is a Papillon Dog favourite trick, as well as dance, spin circles in the up positions, and for some dogs, walk on the back legs. This video includes tips for teaching "Up". WARNING this trick is for dogs over one year old, not for puppies!!!!
Callie is the star of this trick with her amazing strength. She is the only one of Papillon Trick Dogs who can walk on her back legs!

Bravo....I felt as though I was at a music hall and the main attraction was the dancing papillions
It was a pure vision of delight

Thank you! It did come out a bit like dancing :)
They are perfect students.
Thank you :)
Paw-some work, Handsome dogs
Thank you :)
This is so adorable, I can't stop smiling!
I appreciate the acknowledging that not all dogs will be equally agile or strong on their back feet. I've heard it's important to wait for full maturity to work on tricks like this, to ensure spine health - when would you say is the earliest age this can be taught?
Your comment reminded me to add that this trick is not for puppies. I think at least one year. I updated tge description. Thanks!!!
Köpeğinizin tüğleri için hangi şampuanı bakım ürünlerini kullanıyorsunuz paylaşabilir misiniz ?
Thank you. I use a baby shampoo called Aveeno. I sometimes use a conditioner that I buy from the Vet. I find that if you brush them a couple of times a week, they look good :) That's the great thing about Papillons, they are naturally elegant!
I have no idea if you planned it like this but I felt like the music was choreographed to certain moves. Like Luc felt like he was doing a solo or Callie’s tail was a wiggle bum dance! I was giggling so much - brilliant job.
Training Question - how do you differentiate this move, to the dog, from “sitting pretty”. (I am still working on sitting pretty - not my Pap’s fault that he has not fully grasped it! I am just working on his Kennel club obedience levels and forget sometimes to practice the tricks too)
Thank you! I think that some Papillons / Dogs aren't comfortable doing sit pretty. It takes some balance. So Beau and Callie are good at it, but it took forever to get Luc to do it. He still doesn't do it well.
As for differentiating between sit pretty and up, I just say "no, bum down" lol. And hold the treat lower down. Maybe I'll do a short on it showing the different ways to use the treat so they know which one to do :)
@@papillontrickdogs I would really appreciate a video on that! You must have quite a long list of videos ideas😄
Yes I do :)
