  • I use a Makita rail to a Makita router with a guide adapter. The Makita rail is great, it has very good pads that don't slip and the top glides beautifully. Mainly it is made in one piece in 1000, 1500 and 3000mm lengths and is not a two piece like the Parkside. But the Parkside PTSS 1200 doesn't fit the Makita rail.
Everything is almost identical, the only obstruction is the slightly wider base on the Parkside saw. I decided to cut a bit off of it to fit the Makita rail.

Sir, you win. Kompernass doesn't have spare parkside guide rails available right now, so I thought I needed to buy an expensive evolution rail. I wasn't gonna cut my makita rail, but you just showed me the way. Thank you very much.

Do I see correctly that your model is PTSS 1200 B1? There is PTSS 1200 C2 currently in Lidl eshop as of december 2021.

How many mm did you cut the parkside?

      I don't know. I don't have that saw anymore.

    Good morning,
your video is great, thank you for sharing with us.
I want to do like you.
what Makita rail reference do you have?
I would like to order one, but I'm afraid of making a mistake
    thanks in advance

Thank you. Makita guide rail is only one type. It comes in different lengths, so you just choose the length you need. The rails can also be connected with an adapter. You do not have to order the wrong one therefore.

Ja sam frezom skinuo 0,5mm sa tog zuba na šini i odlično leži kao i makita

Nice video , can you make a test cut ?

Thank you. The rubber edge on the rail is not cut yet. I haven't cut anything yet to test. However, I believe it will be 2 times as good as with the Parkside rail because the Makita slides better and smoother. It has better glides.

@@Tech-3D Much better yes, i sand the baseplate complete flat on a mirror and used x2 - 0,25mm spacers for the wobble in the saw. Same cut results as a TS 55 .

Actually, I'd rather cut the lip of the rail instead of the saw base.

I need the lip of the rail more than the edge of the saw base. It serves as a barrier to tip the saw over when cutting at an angle. It serves as a barrier against the saw falling over when cutting at an angle.
