I was extremely fortunate to be part of Sandy’s home group in Tampa for some years. Finding these lectures and hearing his voice again was exactly what I needed recently. His dedication, insights, and sense of humor is a gift to this recovering alcoholic. Thank you Sandy.
Sandy B left this world a few months after I got sober. I did not discover his talks on RUclips until after he had gone. His wisdom, humor and passion for AA have been one of the most influential catalysts to my spiritual growth. He's still being used of God to change lives even though he's no long here. I look forward to meeting him on the other side.
The recovering community can't measure the benefits of your insight and delivery, you helped change my life and many, many others. You'll always be here*!
Came to believe that a power greater than myself could restore my sanity. That power is you. That sanity is you. The thought and feelings are fighting internally. Fix it.
Sobriety is the most important thing to me. I owe it all to the 12 Steps and great sponsorship. I was able to celebrate my 40th AA Birthday. I can't express all the love and support in AA. We are a fortunate few to live a speriatul life. To all in love and service David M Concord NC.
“ PAIN is the touch tones to spiritual progress” And somebody who knew me well in the program said to me once it says touch to touch stone Sarah, not a fucking boulder that we hang onto…. It was one of the most profound things anybody ever said to me I had his tendency towards self-centered suffering
This guy sponsored me before I could feel comfortable in meetings. He fired my God-given imagination. Imagination is more important than knowledge.....
Love listening to these old timers. Have there ever been any autobiographies or biographies written about these greats? I’m only aware of Lauri Burns’ book. Hell of a story she has!
Does anybody have that handout of spiritual stretching exercises? I've hunted a little but haven't found it. I was sad that they cut out the recording when he was going to share them. I'd love to try it as he did! Thanks and blessings!
A great man, and great sobriety. He once said in a retreat in Malibu, CA, "i want to go home, I'm ready". Rest in peace my sober brother.
Love that, thanks for sharing. I get great solace from Sandy’s comments on death/afterlife. Beautifully soul.
I love you, Sandy. I never met you but you have saved my life over and over again.🥰
