1998: Retro Studios founded 2000: Metroid Prime development officially began 2002: Metroid Prime launched in NA It would be quite a feat for _anyone_ to work on the first Metroid prime for 5 years.
I think it's fair to say that after the very recent popular video essay about him, Tommy (and the Amico) can finally be put to rest. That nail was driven into the coffin so hard it lodged into the cadaver's skull and poked out the other side.
That Colonel Mustard game sure was saucy as per Tommy :) Yup that was creepy and something you would think of a family friendly console would never even consider bringing up.
@@NinjaKittyRetro The weirdest thing is him doubling down by trying to mention a specific game. Either way, it's a real destruction to his character to just keep running his mouth to no end, especially someone with his reputation. He really wasn't the best guy to run a company, just someone to remember from his Electric Playground days - to talk games and have beers with. Oh wait, he doesn't drink! But seriously. It's really ironic when a guy of his position was desperately reaching out to masses of random people requesting interviews, when theoretically, it should have been the masses of people requesting to interview him. I know his dad passed away a while back and that's rough on anyone; he definitely had a presence on EP back then as like a memorable side character in some way. But man, I remember Tommy not really knowing what avenues to take for his mental health. He needs help bad.
I had only heard about him for the last 10 - 15 years from video games live and it was mostly because I saw the video of him sliding across the stage playing a guitar that clearly wasn't plugged in or being played live.
Might need to make a part 4 with his OOF video explanation... I never watched that video but after seeing some of the clips recently it's classic Tommy with him wiping his face and lying and saying you know.
Hilarious how he tried to open up an opportunity to brag about how he worked hand to hand with Shigeru Miyamoto on Metroid Prime for 5 years and failed miserably 😂😂... Guess in those 5 years he never noticed it was a Gamecube Game not an N64 game... And got schooled by a literal KID about it 🤣.. Guess mr epic videogames genius is not that impressive after all🤣🤣🤣
Hey Ninja Kitty, love your videos! One possible correction though, I'm fairly certain he didn't sell his Ralph Baer brown box in the auction, it probably would have made bigger waves or would have been advertised more. Tommy does/did really have it 11 years ago, watch Mega64: "GAMER WARZ 3" at around 7:50 it's on the table there. To make an unnecessary long story short, make more of your great videos and what are your thoughts on the hbomberguy video?
Thanks for the feedback much appreciated! I believe the brown box may have been debunked either on the CUPodcast or the Intellivision_Amico subreddit. From what I gathered it was a reproduction brown box that Ralph used to sell at conventions and would sign them for you at the convention. It wasn't an original box from when he first created them many years before. It's unfortunately another lie from Tommy.
@@NinjaKittyRetro …remember when Hans was going to give the 1st. European Amico to a Utoober he had just met with like 5 subscribers??? Like he was going to hand deliver it to him in Paris… those were the days.
Please please please tell me that when Tommy was talking about working on "some of the Unreal games" he attributed their development to Epyx and not Epic... 😆
Despite all that I still don't know... Trying to follow his conversations are weird cause he probably surrounded himself with yes men all the time that never question anything cause he was paying the bill.
Didnt tTommy gave Metroid Prime a 7/10? and If I remember correct said in the review: "its an above average game" it was too much search and backtracking (... you know like every metroidvania styled game) and he disliked the controls. We already know he was let go of the development but when a kid says he plays retro games tommys first thought is to remind the kid he worked on Metroid Prime- which he isnt even in the credits for, because they swapped composer. Its absurd. I thought the game was above average at best with lousy controls, according to tommy. So why keep mentioning metroid prime to kids and in your CV ? in a game they swapped composer for and your not even in the games own credits. Because he likes to name drop, thats why.
He was very bitter towards Nintendo afterwards also with doing lots of videos completely crapping on the GameCube and saying how it's for babies. Yet Metroid Prime which is a more mature title was boring and very bland as per him. Miyamoto was a very dear friend... so much of a dear friend that he bashed his games for many years up until recently with the Amico and trying to name drop a supposed friend.
@@NinjaKittyRetro but even before that, he gave donkey kong 64 a 5/10 Paper mario 4/10 etc like I have no issue with showing that certain gamers arnt gonna enjoy this and that. It's in the intellivision_amico subreddit from about a week ago someone posted the full link to the kids interview with Tommy. I didn't want to post the kids face or his name "in case" he wanted to take down the video so that none of the crazy Tommy Tallarico fans go after him.

It would be quite a feat for _anyone_ to work on the first Metroid prime for 5 years.
His story keeps changing, he's said that he worked on Metroid Prime.. for the Wii. He's also said he worked on Metroid Prime 2.
I think it's fair to say that after the very recent popular video essay about him, Tommy (and the Amico) can finally be put to rest.
That nail was driven into the coffin so hard it lodged into the cadaver's skull and poked out the other side.
The study of the human condition is never laid to rest
Tommy is the kind of person who after their last relationship became so socially incapable that he’s just completely in his own world
I was disappointed that the bomberguy video didn't touch on his stint with the NY Yankees.
Maybe he showed mercy because that was the saddest of all the lies?
Now this is quality content... You know
I can't believe he brought up adult content to a 14 year old kid, creepy nut

The first time I heard the name Tommy Tallarico was 2006-2008 back on VG Frequency. Thought that woulda been the last time too lol.

It genuinely blew my mind that Tommy was even an inch taller than Gary Coleman.

So many Amicos you got there, TT. Everybody is his friend acording to him...

With the Amico specfiically it's easy for someone to become a yes man when Tommy is paying you a 6 figure salary to basically do nothing.
How can something so funny possibly cause brain damage?🤔
Some kind of form of torture which could cause long term side effects of continually saying like ummm you know!?
