For those of you wondering what would happen if you brought something like this into a dealer. Once you flash your car and get the screen you're looking for, you might get a CEL. I'm currently working on. Charger R/T that did this to get the hellcat logo and his car came up with 18 DTCs directly related to this flash. It will not cause drivability issues however, just an annoying CEL. The CELs were something about voltage issues since the car now thinks it's a Hellcat.

I believe it was a 15 or 16. Ultimately in the end we had to flash the ecu back to factory since the customer wanted that CEL off. I've read up a bit about this product and personally it seems to be gimmicky for lack of a better word, but I only came to drop my two cents since I see this kind of thing every now and then.

Branching off the racing functionality they have added fan control (runs fan with engine off to cool while staging) they have also added Inter cooler pump for the hellcats. All with battery protection etc... It's got a lot of great functionality along with a bunch of features to cater to the masses.
The dealership is at the mercy of Mopar and Mopar says we have to fix a car to factory standards, there is no other option unfortunately. It's a pain for both sides sometimes. As far as the tazer goes, I guess if my customer didn't try and make they're R/T think it was a Hellcat and stuck with options the R/T could handle then I think everything would've been fine. I too have something similar to the tazer and if i check boxes my car can't support i throw codes too.
i am now playing around a few days with the app AlfaOBD icm ELM327, this can also enable A LOT of stuff, like performance pages, global windows down etc etc

Hi, I have a 2016 RT/SCATPAK and I tried all the things that were said in the video, except one thing I found out which was what made it work on my screen; If you have a reboot that comes up in that line of options put it on yes and reboot then it will work. At least it did on mine.
Why do you say you will have to change all of these changes back when take the car to the dealer for service? Why do they care if there is a Bee or something else on the startup screen?
It's best to restore all settings and remove the device this will put the car back to the stock condition so the mechanic can diagnose any issues without having to figure out what the TaZer is and any settings it changed. There are 2 feature sets for the Tazer. You can make changes and pull it out. But if you want to use any of the live features outlined in the use manual you need to leave the Tazer connected.
This only works if you have the zAutomotive TaZer installed using the Double Bypass? zautomotive.com/product/tazer/. This video is on my 2015, you will want to check with zAutomotive if the desired splash screen works on your 2018 model.

I have 485hp 6.4 and i walked a hellcat and i have manual. I also have HEAVY weight reduction. No reason the car should be that heavy 😂🤙 no need for it to have 707hp either. You don't need the Tazer plugged in for the bee to continue working BUT! you must un marry the tazer and return your car to the stock settings before you can use the tazer to change settings in another vehicle.
the first time you plugged in the tazer and went to the splash screen option was it scat or none. I just got the tazer and it said scat but I have never had the bee. The setting from the first time I looked at it was scat. My scat is one of the early ones also but I can't get it to turn on I have tried all the different screens and still only get the Challenger start srceen
After you set it to scat did you turn off the car and leave with the keys for about a minute? I needed to follow those steps to reset the EVIC, then the bee appeared. Sadly I have heard the bee not working for some, if you are one of those people please contact their support on the website,.
the frist time i saw the splash screen in the menu it was already on SCAT. I tried changing it to all of the other options(none shaker and hellcat) each time I would turn off the car and take the FOB out of the cat for 4 or 5 minutes every time it would be the basic challenger start screen even on NONE.
im hoping i can get some clarification, I bought a certified used 2016 challenger scat pack from a dodge dealer, and i just saw this video. When i start my car I get the scat bee on my splash screen. Does that mean that the previous owner had a tazer and changed the splash screen and the dealer never flashed it back to factory settings??? wonder if this car had a previous tune and never flashed it back to factory settings.
Early 2015 Scat packs like mine only had the Challenger splash screen. Your 2016 is a Scat Pack Shaker so you should have the "Shaker" splash screen UNLESS your car came with the Scat Pack appearance group. This can be confirmed by the bee embroidered in the seats, black fuel door, hectic mesh interior. If you have the Scat Pack Appearance group you should have the Bee splash screen You can also check your window sticker by using Chrysler's VIN tool www.chrysler.com/hostd/windowsticker/getWindowStickerPdf.do?vin= just click the link and add your full VIN number to the end of this URL, then hit enter Hope that helps

If I purchase this Tazer, will I be able to switch to a hellcat slash screen or other logos, considering its a R/T? Disable SRT mode the airbag warning will go away shortly, not sure if it's fixable because none of the SRT features work in the 5.7 From the F.A.Q. If you have a 2015/2016 Charger 3.6 or 5.7, setting SRT will result in an airbag error. Nothing unlocked in SRT mode works on the 3.6/5.7, so no reason to enable SRT on these cars. You can still get all the EVIC performance pages and add sport mode if you don’t already have it.
You don't need to it's just best to have your car back to stock so a tech can focus on your issue rather than what the TaZer is and what it may be doing... I have a 17 Charger Daytona 392 and the splash screen is weak. I tried your process but nothing happened. I noticed you mentioned Tazer. So I need the Tazer in order to make changes? If so, can you give me more info on the Tazer?

Dang, that's what I was hoping they could fix. I just ordered the Tazer and I'm gonna use the SRT pages (mainly to get Track Mode for the A8) and I wanted to keep the Bee. Oh well, no bee for me.
not necessarily, there are laws in place to protect us from the dealer blatantly denying warranty. check out the "magnuson moss warranty act" for more info
Yeah man, the TaZer adds a bunch of features and unlocks stuff that's already available in the car. We pretty much have the same car, mine started out without the Shaker. I added the shaker about a year in.

+Shaya K t the srt load out includes it's own splash screen so it can't be changed to the bee. I'm not sure if you can turn off all the SRT features then turn the bee on, but that would be silly
i'm actually trying to change it into a hellcat logo, problem is i tried this method to enter to the menu system but i couldn't get into it at all so i'm guessing this method won't work on srt ?
It may also be the Version you are using. The splash screens were added recently, so this menu is not available prior to i believe TaZer firmware version 2.2.6. You can check the firmware by continuing to hold the Left arrow and hit cancel. The version will display it's one of the last screens. It was standard mid 2015, mine was an early 2015 those came with the R/T seats (no bees) and the Challenger logo. :( I wish the TaZer could change the seat logos too...

Just got my Tazer...so far, only problem I have is getting the splash screen to show the Scat Bee. My default was the Shaker...Hellcat and Challenger come up, but not Scat Bee. Any other suggestions?
The scat be is only available with SRT disabled. Also from what I’ve seen it was not available in a rare few cars. If you reach out to zAutomotive support they can give you some more info on that.
The scat pack does not have an adjustable suspension installed so it will not adjust suspension settings. It's great for the M6 if you plan to use Line lock, Light show, Nav adjustment in motion, use aux inputs unlock SRT pages, change splash screen, adjust DRLs, use shift light, and more...
Just bought my scatpack today I been waiting for this moment more than a year. For some reason I can't get this to work in my car. Do I need to update something on the car first?
Last Wednesday I popped it into Track Mode for the first time. In the Scat Pack M6 I only had the option to adjust the steering for track. The most noticeable difference was the exhaust. I drive in Sport all the time, the throttle response and steering feels similar to Sport Mode. Possibly a little more aggressive, but it may just be the Butt dyno placebo effect.

I don't have access to an SRT to test, but assuming the SRT pages are loaded out in the same way.... With SRT mode enabled (or stock from factory) you cannot have the scat Bee, the SRT loadout includes it's own dedicated boot screen for both the EVIC and uConnnect. You can of course use the other features without issue. For you LineLock, Light Show, Navi unlock in motion, A/V kit and input enable are all features you can use.

The Spring festival was awesome, California Car scene is so nice, worth traveling 2500 miles each way to attend :) The Bee will NOT work when you enable SRT, this has it's own load out with different fonts and splash screens that override the Bee. You have to turn off SRT mode and I believe Drive mode to get access to the Bee again
Check your firmware make sure you have the latest version. The ability to change the splash screen is in the latest release(Firmware Version 2.2.5 - 081616). you can check your firmware on the PC or when you scroll through the Menu.
This may be a dumb question but I'm going for it lol. I'm guessing you lost your splash screen by tazing your car to have SRT features available. With this you have the splash screen Bee back and retained the SRT track mode, etc?
Scat Bee is not available with the SRT load out. It changes the theme colors backgrounds and fonts. I'm assuming Dodge didn't include the non SRT models in that load out.
Line Lock, Light Show, Active Exhaust, Shift Light, SRT Pages, Navi unlock while in motion, and AV inputs really make this a worth while purchase at least for me.

Hey, I have a 2016 SCAT Pack with a challenger logo. I tried to get into the menu as shown in the video and failed. Is there a reason I couldn't see the options while holding the left arrow and tapping cancel? Please do reply. Mine is a stick shift, if that make any difference.
+Vishnu Dev are you talking about the logo menu or the actual taser menu for all the options? If it's just for the logo you may have an older version check out my video on upgrading the firmware. The later firmware has that option added.
You may need to reach out to techsupport@Zautotech.com , that option should be in the menu after "Set Shift Light" it's for 2015 and 2015 Challengers and Chargers so your car is correct. The only thing I can think of is if you have SRT enabled then you will only get the option to select Challenger or Hellcat. He does note (***This is a new feature, and may not display on some cars.)

Yes it's a quick effort and recommended to put it back to stock before going to the dealer. I have not been successful in making a video to show the difference in sound. The camera's and microphones within my price rage cannot accurately capture the sound due to the clipping rates in the audio. In my opinion it's not worth getting the TaZer only for the Track mode. It's slightly louder that stock sport mode with a more aggressive throttle response. I would buy the TaZer to use the other features and use the Track Mode as an added bonus.

Thank you, There are a few companies that sell custom inserts in any color. It takes about 2 hours to do the swap.

Niiiiice.... does the bee splash screen disappear when you disable the tazer??? can i have a friend set it up one time with his tazer just to get the bee splash screen in my 2016 scat pack challenger or do you have to keep the tazer connected to continue to get the bee logo on the splash screen???
You don't need the Tazer plugged in for the bee to continue working BUT! you must un marry the tazer and return your car to the stock settings before you can use the tazer to change settings in another vehicle.

the first time you plugged in the tazer and went to the splash screen option was it scat or none. I just got the tazer and it said scat but I have never had the bee. The setting from the first time I looked at it was scat. My scat is one of the early ones also but I can't get it to turn on I have tried all the different screens and still only get the Challenger start srceen
After you set it to scat did you turn off the car and leave with the keys for about a minute? I needed to follow those steps to reset the EVIC, then the bee appeared. Sadly I have heard the bee not working for some, if you are one of those people please contact their support on the website,.

the frist time i saw the splash screen in the menu it was already on SCAT. I tried changing it to all of the other options(none shaker and hellcat) each time I would turn off the car and take the FOB out of the cat for 4 or 5 minutes every time it would be the basic challenger start screen even on NONE.
You may need to contact TaZer support to see if your car is one of the models that may not be able to display the bee.
im hoping i can get some clarification, I bought a certified used 2016 challenger scat pack from a dodge dealer, and i just saw this video. When i start my car I get the scat bee on my splash screen. Does that mean that the previous owner had a tazer and changed the splash screen and the dealer never flashed it back to factory settings??? wonder if this car had a previous tune and never flashed it back to factory settings.
Early 2015 Scat packs like mine only had the Challenger splash screen.
Your 2016 is a Scat Pack Shaker so you should have the "Shaker" splash screen UNLESS your car came with the Scat Pack appearance group. This can be confirmed by the bee embroidered in the seats, black fuel door, hectic mesh interior. If you have the Scat Pack Appearance group you should have the Bee splash screen
You can also check your window sticker by using Chrysler's VIN tool www.chrysler.com/hostd/windowsticker/getWindowStickerPdf.do?vin= just click the link and add your full VIN number to the end of this URL, then hit enter

Great option, never knew about this hidden menu. So basically, it updates the visual screen only, or literally unlocks desired trim? Can I go from my Charger GT to R/T?

The Tazer only changes the display, if you do an engine swap you will still need to reprogram

If I purchase this Tazer, will I be able to switch to a hellcat slash screen or other logos, considering its a R/T? I did this on 2016 charger rt,and i get a airbag light on. Have they resolved this issue?
Disable SRT mode the airbag warning will go away shortly, not sure if it's fixable because none of the SRT features work in the 5.7
From the F.A.Q.
If you have a 2015/2016 Charger 3.6 or 5.7, setting SRT will result in an airbag error. Nothing unlocked in SRT
mode works on the 3.6/5.7, so no reason to enable SRT on these cars. You can still get all the EVIC performance
pages and add sport mode if you don’t already have it.

Why do you need to change the Bee setting back when you turn it into the dealership?
You don't need to it's just best to have your car back to stock so a tech can focus on your issue rather than what the TaZer is and what it may be doing... This feature works on 2015 ½ -2018s according to the user manual.
I have a 17 Charger Daytona 392 and the splash screen is weak. I tried your process but nothing happened. I noticed you mentioned Tazer. So I need the Tazer in order to make changes? If so, can you give me more info on the Tazer?

nope, not at this time the SRT pages overwrite the bee.
Dang, that's what I was hoping they could fix. I just ordered the Tazer and I'm gonna use the SRT pages (mainly to get Track Mode for the A8) and I wanted to keep the Bee. Oh well, no bee for me.
well, on the bright side you can switch back and forth, Fun mode and Bee mode! Hopefully a future update will work this out.

Yeah man, the TaZer adds a bunch of features and unlocks stuff that's already available in the car. We pretty much have the same car, mine started out without the Shaker. I added the shaker about a year in.

the srt load out includes it's own splash screen so it can't be changed to the bee. I'm not sure if you can turn off all the SRT features then turn the bee on, but that would be silly
i'm actually trying to change it into a hellcat logo, problem is i tried this method to enter to the menu system but i couldn't get into it at all
so i'm guessing this method won't work on srt ?
It may also be the Version you are using. The splash screens were added recently, so this menu is not available prior to i believe TaZer firmware version 2.2.6. You can check the firmware by continuing to hold the Left arrow and hit cancel. The version will display it's one of the last screens.

the scat bee comes standard on all scat packs at least 2 of friends light up with the scat bee and there cars are stock
It was standard mid 2015, mine was an early 2015 those came with the R/T seats (no bees) and the Challenger logo. :( I wish the TaZer could change the seat logos too...

Just got my Tazer...so far, only problem I have is getting the splash screen to show the Scat Bee. My default was the Shaker...Hellcat and Challenger come up, but not Scat Bee. Any other suggestions?
The scat be is only available with SRT disabled. Also from what I’ve seen it was not available in a rare few cars. If you reach out to zAutomotive support they can give you some more info on that.

I believe so, I remember driving without the bee for a while because of that. Now I have the MFER-1 and my active exhaust it open all the time.

The scat pack does not have an adjustable suspension installed so it will not adjust suspension settings. It's great for the M6 if you plan to use Line lock, Light show, Nav adjustment in motion, use aux inputs unlock SRT pages, change splash screen, adjust DRLs, use shift light, and more...

Last Wednesday I popped it into Track Mode for the first time. In the Scat Pack M6 I only had the option to adjust the steering for track. The most noticeable difference was the exhaust. I drive in Sport all the time, the throttle response and steering feels similar to Sport Mode. Possibly a little more aggressive, but it may just be the Butt dyno placebo effect.

I don't have access to an SRT to test, but assuming the SRT pages are loaded out in the same way.... With SRT mode enabled (or stock from factory) you cannot have the scat Bee, the SRT loadout includes it's own dedicated boot screen for both the EVIC and uConnnect.
You can of course use the other features without issue. For you LineLock, Light Show, Navi unlock in motion, A/V kit and input enable are all features you can use.

I have an automatic I took the rims back off I got tired of racing people on my way 2 work lol and the Rims in due time will mess up my car . One of the reasons I want to get the tazer is because I want that B logo as well
you talking about the 24s? I have to ask how is driving with 24" rims?
they drive pretty good with the rims on, but I'll ask around and see if someone has the tazer because I really want the SRT features
Just keep in mind the Bee will go away once you enable the SRT features because the SRT or Hellcat splash screen is tied to the the SRT load.

The Bee will NOT work when you enable SRT, this has it's own load out with different fonts and splash screens that override the Bee. You have to turn off SRT mode and I believe Drive mode to get access to the Bee again

nope, Dodge does not have the scat bee in the SRT load out so when you enable it the Bee is gone.

Check your firmware make sure you have the latest version. The ability to change the splash screen is in the latest release(Firmware Version 2.2.5 - 081616). you can check your firmware on the PC or when you scroll through the Menu.

This may be a dumb question but I'm going for it lol. I'm guessing you lost your splash screen by tazing your car to have SRT features available. With this you have the splash screen Bee back and retained the SRT track mode, etc?
Scat Bee is not available with the SRT load out. It changes the theme colors backgrounds and fonts. I'm assuming Dodge didn't include the non SRT models in that load out.

Hey, I have a 2016 SCAT Pack with a challenger logo. I tried to get into the menu as shown in the video and failed. Is there a reason I couldn't see the options while holding the left arrow and tapping cancel? Please do reply. Mine is a stick shift, if that make any difference.
+Vishnu Dev are you talking about the logo menu or the actual taser menu for all the options? If it's just for the logo you may have an older version check out my video on upgrading the firmware. The later firmware has that option added.
I have checked the version and its up to date. yea am talking about the logo menu.
You may need to reach out to techsupport@Zautotech.com , that option should be in the menu after "Set Shift Light" it's for 2015 and 2015 Challengers and Chargers so your car is correct. The only thing I can think of is if you have SRT enabled then you will only get the option to select Challenger or Hellcat. He does note (***This is a new feature, and may not display on some cars.)

I'm mad there's no Bee on the dash screen. They have about 12 wallpapers and not 1 is a bee
so basically you have to change all back every time you take it to the dealer for service? even if you unlock the srt pages?
also , would you make a video of the difference in sound between the track mode and sport mode?. i just want to make sure is worth it , cause if i buy a tazer, it would be for that feature only.

Yes it's a quick effort and recommended to put it back to stock before going to the dealer.
I have not been successful in making a video to show the difference in sound. The camera's and microphones within my price rage cannot accurately capture the sound due to the clipping rates in the audio.
In my opinion it's not worth getting the TaZer only for the Track mode. It's slightly louder that stock sport mode with a more aggressive throttle response. I would buy the TaZer to use the other features and use the Track Mode as an added bonus.
