Question for everyone- How do you feel if a figure in your collection(like Ryan's Joe's for example) has a small paint chip or any defect? Are you alright with it, or does it drive you crazy and need a replacement? One of my figures on display fell last night and got a tiny tiny almost unnoticeable chip on the head, and it's driving me crazy so far this morning.
The purest in me would have to replace it 4sure.. The practical me would try to use sandpaper and scratch repair to blend it back. That actually works, btw. Sucks either way tho

I have a freddy krueger figure that I took the hat off of and it took paint with it. I happened to have paint that was a really good match with the color and now you can't notice even close up. I have a leatherface figure that fell off the shelf and the handle broke, that I couldn't fix with any kind of glue. That one still bugs me!
Lots of great Japanese Transformers! Galaxy Force and Car Robots are favorites of mine. Since you guys have those cabinets dedicated to toylines, it'd look super cool if you had logos on the cabinets...having a system where you could exchange out the logos when you change cabinets would be neat, too.

Ad said ABSOLUTELY NO EARLY BIRDS!!! at exactly 8am I left my car and walked up.. I see my prize.. I go to grab it, and I have this BO smelling loud mouth yell at me.. "I bought the whole tub!" I say, the sale just started, how?.. He says he came early. Smh. I said, "A bit greedy, and I'm guessing you're a reseller, right? He gets mad and starts mumbling incoherently.. I'm over the yard sale thing and love that stores like yours exist and are thriving. Thanks for being a beacon for the industry.. and so collectors dont have to fist fight at random retirees houses for toys.

Also about 20 years ago, Japanese toysrus had the best clearance deals! I picked up the Toysrus Exclusive Cybertron Translucent Convoy (prime) with the Sonic Bomber aka "Sonic Convoy" for a mere 1000 yen. I got 4 of them and my friend got 5 of them. We compromised. Sadly those golden days of clearance are no more. Great Video Man! Keep 'em comin! 😂

I had a chance to buy the American original or Japanese reissue back in the early 2000s, and since they were both worth a $100, I bought the original. The Japanese reissue was tempting though, since it had the firing pellets, and the SWORD. 😄
I noticed the names of those japanese transformers are printed in english in the grey part towards the bottom of the box fronts. Would love a g1 optimus and that japanese megatron. A devastator and bruticus are also on my wishlist lol.
I'm sure you will have no problem selling a lot of those Japanese transformers. Then you'll have to put those wrestling figures back in that case. ;-) At 20:20, that's the dark version of Unicron, not primus. The Japanese Primus had the number 00 on the box. The package art is amazing on that. It had all the Primes featured on the back of the box.
Funny after the movie Detroit rock city they tried to push another KISS resurgence. I remember spencers in the late nineties stocking a ton of kiss figures and accessories.
Those are tranforsmers g1 takara collection from 2000. they're expensive as hell on ebay I have a few megatron, optimus, soundwave they're replicas of the 80's g1. They are like a book type of package the optimus came with a ring binder so you can put all the pages of every book on it.

Every Christmas after mom and dad divorced when he had us for Christmas, he would give us $100 each at the door of TRS in the 70"s to get whatever we wanted. Is there going to be videos of the toy hauls from the backroom and what you paid?
As a practical person, I don't get the appeal of overprice anything. I buy second hand toys if available, and I try my best to restore by cleaning and repainting them. Are my repaints any good? Well, compared to pros, it's mediocre to subpar, but it stillgood enough for me.
The Japanese Buildron says Toys R Us exclusive. I was trying to read the receipt but it wasn't close enough. I was able to see that he paid 7268 yen in cash.
I'll never understand why some of these new and older collectors go off and pay full pop retail for modern toys, leave everything in the box thinking big payday at the end, only to bring it to Ryan and dump it for less than fifty percent, bad investors what a shame ;-)
Makes me sad that the WWF LJN figures will be taken down for Transformers. I get it. I even collect both, but nothing displays better than 80’s wrestling to me.
How come I never see any of the 90s image comics figures? Savage dragon, young blood, wetworks, Pitt, etc . They don't sell? No demand? They were awesome comics and characters.
All of those G1 Transformer issues that you have right there that have a number from Takara were only able to be gotten from Japan/China they weren't sold by American retailers unless otherwise imported at the time by the American Retailer. Specifically because of getting Megatron in a weapon like that. He came with and without the orange cap. Also also have some respect for Rampage he knows he's just a repaint of heavy metal, (he has feeling too) and is listed as a different character with a slightly different repaint😅😂😂😂😂😂.....
