Jack being 17 years old is a reflection of the love and care you have given him, and continue to with his welfare and comfort. Has a previous dog I completely empathize and understand the emotion that losing our 'furry family members'. I lost my boy Max a chocolate labradoodle suddenly to leukemia back in 2020 and having to let him go due to his suffering. It was probably the worst experience since my mother passed in 96. Only 6 months earlier at his his routine 6 monthly check-up, it came back has 100% fit and healthy with the vet commenting that 'Max's bloods was probably one of the best results she had seen'. A week before covid hit and closed the country down, he was running up/down the beach and in the sea as normal, and a week later he could only walk slow, his breathing escalated and everything went downhill from there. 9 weeks after diagnosis I did have to let him go. He was only 8 1/2. Even now I miss him terribly. And I always hoped that he would be the dog that lived till old age with content, so I could reflect back with happy memories knowing that he lived a long life, that is what I wish most. Jack is a beautiful dog and looks like a wise old gentleman. You are doing the right thing to let him continue has long has he wags that tail and eats his food and his medication gives him comfort. I wish you both well.
Hi lovely, thank you for sharing your story, I’m so sorry for the loss of Max, I can see that he was cherished deeply. Such a painful experience. Jack really is a wise old gentleman, the most important things are his comfort and happiness. Sending you love and hugs xx
Totally agree about You Are What You Eat. Also they only did the study for 8 weeks so no long term studies on the participants iron and vitamin B12 levels. I think a Mediterranean diet is much healthier. Great video, thank you Suzi.
Love the Brighton shops, thank you for the tour I’ll definitely visit the ones I hadn’t heard of before…..and Jack, it’s so tricky. I went through the same with my gorgeous Alf this time last year. Never had a full night’s sleep as he wanted to go out and bark!….but we kinda knew when it was “the day”….sending you lots of hugs and strength. Take care X

Hi Suzi, I am so happy to see Socks the fox again. She looks beautiful! Prayers for Jack to feel better. It's good he is getting some pain relief . As long as he is eating and moving about is great. xo I sent you a comment on IG.
I adore the winter white coat. I wish I could find one like that. The vintage stores are lovely and I enjoy seeing what they have inthem. Hugs to Jack💕
Morning Suzi Loved the white coat and loved your out fit at the end of your vlog that black and green top black seems to suit you so much these days. Sorry to hear Jack had an episode. I saw Al Murray this week he was brilliant such a clever man. Also went to see "Beehive Film" Jason Statham it was brilliant too lots of action from start to finish, loved it. Had a busy week out and about. Cooked a dinner for my 94 year old neighbour last night and had a drink with her lovely daughter. Got lots and lots of cards, presents and good wishes it was like Christmas yesterday I am so lucky to have such great friends. Have a good week Take care Suex
I watched “you are what you eat”. I agree with everything you said. I’m at 80/20 now, also. I respect that you are helping out Mother Earth by living a healthy, sustainable lifestyle. It’s not easy but every little thing helps.
Sigh… remembering my first trip to London , probably 1985, and I bought a fabulous pair of purple suede shoes at Hobbs Covent garden . Everyone back in boring Canada was crazy about them. Actually, I wore them with a purple plaid dress. Thanks for the fun video 😊
Yes, Suzi, that’s a wise way to eat, IMO. My body feels best eating like that. Of course, we’re all different and need to know our own bodies, ancestry, etc. Thank you for doing what’s best for. We try them all and come back to what seems to work for us. I guess Keto is great but I already have a good metabolism and I do adopt some of its tenents. I’ll keep doing my best as I age. Loved the blouse from Rixo, really suits your colouring. The white coat was also fabulous. Fully understand your dilemma with Jack. We have a 14yr old black lab who is practically doubly incontinent and his back legs are failing, but he still wants to go for a walk and looks for his dinner. Very difficult decision to have to make.😢💕
So sorry you are suffering with SAD. You bring so much joy to so many, are such an uplifting presence in our lives, and don't deserve to have this winter gloom in your heart. Hope the slowly lengthening days will soon start to help.
Anyone who has ever had the joy of a pet companion understands what you’re going through. I’d have done anything for longer with my beloved pet but we know in our heart when it’s time to say goodbye. It’s the hardest thing to do. It’s because we love them and don’t want to be without them. Enjoy every moment with dear little Jack,he’s doing so well. Sox the 🦊 looks in fine form. Have you been watching The Traitors? Fascinating insight into behaviour. I eat lots of fish , eggs and dairy with veggies but no meat since a virus ( not COVID as I tested negative but very similar symptoms ) left me unable to eat it..even the sight or smell of meat makes me heave..not for any moral standpoint I literally cannot stomach meat anymore since being ill. Very odd! I’ll be interested to see your vegan recipes. Thanks for sharing your time and taking us around Brighton x
Thank you for your lovely and kind words. Jack is going through his “I am going to act like a youngster again” moods so all good in the hood! Sox has deserted us again! And as for The Traitors!!!! Yes love, love, love. Totally addicted and adore Claudia’s outfits. I want to get a kilt now and wear it with my cream sweater that I still haven’t worn this winter or last!!! Understand about the meat. I have gone off it a lot since the venison stew and have eaten mainly plant based ever since. And eggs. And fish. So we sound quite similar! xx
I totally agree about keeping a bit of sparkle and light in January, it's such a long, dark month. Thank goodness the nights are starting to get lighter!
Another fabulous Vlog Suzi. I loved seeing you in the kitchen, looking forward to ‘what you eat in a day’ soon. I watched the Netflix programme on the recommendation of my daughter and my son, and I will never be buying or eating anything from a cow again !!!! I was shocked by the cow farms in America and the stats on the methane they produce !! I have gone dairy free and much more plant based but eating fish and chicken. My children (who are adults and have their own homes and families) are doing the same !! It is a very thought provoking programme. Loved that winter white coat you looked wonderful in it. So pleased Jack has perked up again. Take care lovely and have a fantastic week ❤️😘
I have been vegan for 26 years and i live in Brighton if uou need any pointers where to go for certain foods. I recommend making a chocolate dessert with raw cacao, agave syrup and either avocado flesh or silken tofu (not firm).
Love that coat ! Gorgeous. And your green hat. Thanks for sharing. Your independence is inspirational. I do want to see the movie. This week i made a pasta salad from tortillini pasta, greek dressing, onion, tomato. Enjoyed it
Aww bless Jack he certainly is a trooper! Love the green dress you bought, I spied a matching blazer, quite fancy that with some black trousers, costing me money girl 😂
Loved that white jacket….stunning, also love that blouse you were wearing at the end of the vlog………it’s soup weather here in Toronto….have a great week…….❤. Donna in Toronto
Love the content this week. I love shopping with you. The white coat is beautiful and looks great on you. I have one similar and feel great wearing it. Have a great week.
Good to hear that Jack came around, I go through the same thing with my cat with thyroid and kidney issues. She and her two siblings will be 16 soon and they do sleep a lot and the sick one, Chookie, is not a big eater. I feed her 10 times a day if I am home as she only eats a few kibbles at a time. I did my cheek filler, as the anesthesia that they put in it wore off the pain and swelling were more than I expected and I think it looks awful but they said to give it a few weeks. I go back on the 31st but think I might give up trying to shave some years off of my appearance. Lovely new laptop. I buy the inexpensive ones since my cats are always on top of it and I eat in bed with it. Every week or two I flip it over and give it a few good slaps and watch the debris fall out, lol. Have a good week and some sunshine and warm weather your way. I am hoping to wear a coat and my boots this winter.
Loved that Winter White coat ! You looked fab in it! Look forward to your next recipe. Wow Sox the fox knows you so well....she is lovely . Hugs to you & Jack
Such an interesting vlog! Really liked the sleevless green dress with the black turtleneck. I hope you bought it; it looked so warm and cozy. Bless little Jack, so precious and tenacious ❤
The winter white jacket is gorgeous and looked so good on you. I also loved the green, plaid dress that you got as well. Jack is so lucky to have you as his human mom, you take such good care of him, and you know him so well. You will know when he is ready to cross the rainbow bridge, but it doesn’t sound like he’s ready just yet.
I love watching your Sunday show/blog as I love Brighton and Vintage shops too. Sox the Fox looks very well I must say. Poor old Jack bless him he probably sensed that you called the vet and 17 is a very good age too. Oh Suzie please don't moan much about our weather at least we have beautiful blue skies and sunshine intact I love that weather. Look forward to the next one.❤️🇬🇧
Great video, Suzie. Jack looks wonderful and you take such good care of him. The winter white coat was fabulous although it looked a tad too big for you - wouldn't bother me, just saying.
Hi Suzi loved the Hobbs dress and white coat, did you buy them both? Poor little Jack, maybe his body just needs a few days rest every now and then. I have a feeling he will drop asleep one day and when you go to check him he will have gone to doggy heaven - I don’t want to make you feel too sad though. Love a slow cooker stew with lots of veg and a little bit of meat- looks yummy! Have a good week ❤❤
Dear Fran, So glad you liked. The Hobbs dress was given to me by Hobbs for their Xmas event and I bought the white coat. It’s so weird that you said that about Jack ‘cause I was just talking to my neighbours who lost one their Jack Russells at 18 and they said the same. Their dog was having off days like Jack and then one day , after a huge walk, he just went in his sleep and he had a heart as strong as an ox too! I hope he goes like that. I will let him have long walks when he wants to! Was the recipe ok right at the beginning or a bit boring and should have been at the end? I’m really into cooking at the moment so let me know! x
Yes just give Jack lots of love and walks when he’s up for it - clearly he loves a walkie! I enjoyed watching the recipe and looking forward to more! ❤️
I wonder where Soxy goes. She seems quite tame so she might have made another friend. I am sure she'll be back. Love to little Jack. I hope he isn't in pain. Good luck with him.
Enjoyed the shopping trip. The white coat looks good on you. It's been cold here in Michigan, too. -15 to -30 below! We miss the sun. It did finally appear today. Warm up next week!
Great video, will try the slow cook. Sending Love to you & Jack, my cat was 19 and every time I took him to the vet he suddenly got better! I did know when the time was righ though and I think you will xx
I watched the food doc on Netflix too and it was an eye opener. I have read Chris Van Tulleken book before christmas about upf's and slowly I'm getting better at sorting out the good stuff.
HI SUZI! COULD YOU PLEASE TELL ME WHERE TO GET THOSE 2 BEAUTIFUL WICKER OR BAMBOO??? LOUNGE CEILING SHADES? THEY ARE EXACTLY WHAT I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR!! HOPEFULLY WILL BE ABLE TO GET THEM ON LINE....SWEETIE YOU LOOKED GORGEOUS IN EVERYTHING TODAY!! I do hope so for your sake they are gorgeous aren't they? Thank you for your lovely compliments and big love to Sunderland and you. This weather!!!!! Can’t believe we’ve had 2 different female names in one week for our storms!!! xx
Great vlog especially information on Jack I have a Shih Tzu almost 15 on heart medication and occasionally has these strange episodes. Wishing Jack longer life and happiness…
Hi Suzi I’m so sad you have sad !but it will lift just go with it ,get your rest n don’t fight it ,there’s no point .you will come around, love the cooking n I can’t wait for the clotheys next week .Takecare godbless love your channel n I’ve told you that before xxxC
Thank you Suzi. Loved the white coat, did you buy it? Ur Rixo blouse looks great w/black pants. Jack, is so lovely it will be a sad time when the 'time' comes.....went through it myself over year ago. oh! Soxs looked extremely healthy!!
I did indeed buy the white coat, it would have been rude not to! So glad you like the Rico blouse with those pants, now I need to check the vlog to see which trousers they were!!! Jack is amazing the vet and Sox popped by again last night, first time in a week! xx
Me too. I suffer so much from SAD as soon as the clocks change at the end of October, it's like someone switched off the lights. I'm going to see if I can catch some winter sun next year when I retire and am not tied to a job. Love your videos every week, but I could tell that you haven't been yourself lately, don't worry we all understand. Sending you love. X
@AlternativeAgeing I'm 66 and working full time as a midwife in a busy central London hospital. It's really exhausting and doesn't do much for one's mental health. Next year I'm definitely going to take your advice.
What a lovely vlog. I love shopping in Brighton. That green check dress is beautiful on you and the coat. I just bought myself a floor length pink teddy coat from vinted and I’m living in it. Thinking of you and Jack ❤
Thank you for showing us around a bit of Brighton love!! I really enjoyed it :) I'm from Australia, I haven't been to Brighton but I studied in Sheffield for a bit. I've heard Brighton has a very creative community so I'm interested in checking it out :) Much love and blessings!
@@AlternativeAgeing Oh not at all Suzi! I would have liked to see more of your process for cooking it, but then it would turn have turned into a cooking vlog rather than a 'Suzi day in the life vlog' XP
@@KAREN-rx9pq Oh nice Karen! I will definitely try and visit when I next can :-) And of course would love to visit Suzi if she is in town! Too bad the UK is so far away from us; it has such a charm that you just can't find in Australia.
Love your recipes … I’m afraid vegan life isn’t for me but I love veg so I can add as many of those as possible .. i don’t eat red meat but love chicken and fish ..well sourced of course ..fab coat and lovely to see sox back in the vlog and the gorgeous shops …great that Jack is doing good ..bless him ❤️
Wow Suzi that green pinafore dress looked fabulous. Did you buy it cant remember if you said ? Really cold in the West Pennine Moors with snow of course. Brighton looks fab and I've never been x
I bought it and am so glad you like. I’ll model it properly when I’m going somewhere in it. Stay warm and send a little snow, I love it instead of the lashing wind and rain we’ve got back today! x
Food: I think people end up eating the things that suit their digestion. I like Keto but I can't handle the high fat, and all plant is too much fiber for me. I would gladly settle for an all toasted-bread and waffles diet with things spread on them, alas! Actually, I have started eating things like fish and broccoli, or eggs and broc for breakfast and I'm pretty sure my blood sugar levels are better because of it. Love your tartan outfit, which I would call a "jumper" but I know in the UK that is the word for sweater or pullover. What do you call it? Btw your skin looks beautiful.
Yes I agree, go with what suits your body and give you energy. I know what I feel great on and know what I don’t! And oh yes, veg and eggs for breakfast is just the best for blood sugar levels. Another tip, and I have to watch my blood sugar levels, is to eat the veg first, then the protein and then the carbs or fruit. It really helps blood sugar issues according to an expert. And the tartan outfit was a dress!! But glad you liked it. We call sweaters sweaters or jumpers. And thank you for the compliment about my skin, will be sharing soon my secret home helper! x
I’ve been vegan for 8 years and have never felt better. Of course vegan food can be unhealthy if you eat the ultra processed food which is why I eat a predominantly whole foods plant based diet with the odd treat here and there.
Animal vegans get all they need by literally eating all day, most human vegans don’t have the time or inclination to do that, which is why processed food is popular. Vegans are typically low on B12, Iodine & iron so supplementation should be considered 👍
i love your channel, i was as always riveted on your updates on jack. I had to have my staffie 14 and a half put to sleep, but i don't think i made the right decision. she has been allergic to beef and milk (no rawhide, no yogurt treats no ordinary treats as they have " animal derivatives" in them which usually means nasty bits of beef!) she was given salycylic acid for an ear infection in lockdown 2020 2 weeks after her 12 birthday and her ears went like a couple of doritos if you had bent them they would have snapped like a dorito! she was deaf 2 weeks later' thing is i taught her commands in hand signals in case she went deaf when she was a puppy and it came in very handy and she learnt new signals for pills and how long they would be, she was diagnosed with a liver problem in half her liver in 2019 and in 2021 it had spread to her whole liver, she looked like she was pregnant (i had her spayed as a puppy) she had started shaking tremors laying down and didn't want to go for walks and i took her to the end of my road and round the car park a coiple of times and 3 or 4 times a week was all she could manage. i got her a box covered with an old dog bed cover to assist getting on the sofa next to me and she could only lay there for about 10 minutes before she slid off the sofa and stretched out on the floor, i took her to the vet and i didnt see my usual vet who knew her from 12 weeks old but a young foreign vet who suggested a painkiller (librella) with no side effects and i realise now i should have consulted my usual vet to see if it was ok with her other tablets, she had hypo thyroidism from 12 weeks old on pills twice a day and with the liver problem she had denamarin which was just under £100 a box of 30 tablets a month. i gave her her afternoon egg and bran and she loved that and i saw 2 drops of blood in her bowl when she had finished it half hou after that injection, i thought she had perhaps bit her lip or cheek or tongue, i looked in her mouth but could see nothing, 2 days later i woke at half 6 to see all the side of the bed covered in blood. i didn't give her her pills or breakfast or her denamarin which has to be taken an hour before any other pills or breakfast. i got to her vet and he gave her an injection i don't know what and said see her saturday (it was thursday) but my daughter 25 said she might have a stroke or bleed out and i have had no car since 2019 so my vet wasn't 24 hour so if something happened i couldn't get her to a vet out of hours, my daughter said have her put to sleep and i didn't want to because i loved her soo much, i'd lost her best friend matching cat tortie 6 weeks earlier they both slept on my bed since my husband died suddenly in 2010 when i was in my 40's. my youngest was 12 years old. she didn't really have quality of life, before we used to walk miles every day but now she just walked as far as 5 houses down and that did her. she would lay tremoring and that was the begining of the end i could see she was in pain, she had that nose bleed for about 9 hours . at the vets je put the canula in her front left paw and she sat up and gave a howl and a deep bark the layed down, i hugged her and said the words to her but i was hugging her and as the heart stopper went in i could hear 3 in draws of breath where she was trying to breathe and said loudly its ok its ok. she must have died thinking i was holding her down and she was looking at the vet it was all soooo wrong, she had an awful un necessary death, i'll never forgive myself i should have given her longer! she used to get me up from the sofa every 10 minutes to go out in the garden and stare at the sky after her cat died from 6,30pm to 11,30 pm all i need are answers to did she have a terrible death and should i have had her put to sleep. the vet wont speak to me i wrote him a letter but he never responded i wake every morning crying and go to sleep every night crying, wishing i would die in the night. she did have problems that she had from 12 weeks found out but started at birth and the vet didn't think she would see 2 let alone 14.5 years. please pray for me and my losses, the family cat fron 2005 died after 2 strokes 9 days apart in the march and the dogs cat died after a 3week diagnosis of a nasal tumour that went to her sinus and brain and round her right eye. the dog missed her and died 6 weeks later my fault, but i had no car, if i had a car i could have kept her alive, but i don't think she had quality of life, love Ellie xxxxxxxxxxxx
This is the saddest message I’ve ever read Ellie, I am so sorry for your loss and what you’ve been through. The only thing I can say to comfort you is that if doggie had such a poor quality of life then you did the right thing. Don’t forget that dogs don’t ’think’, she wasn’t lying there thinking, ‘why is she holding me down’ she would just have felt your love I am sure. It’s so sad but I am sure you did the right thing and you mustn’t blame yourself and she didn’t have a great quality of life. Please look after yourself and please don’t feel guilty. 14 and a half is a great age for a doggie. Big love to you. Suzi and Jack xx
I did indeed get that lovely white coat. It’s mild enough to wear it soon! The pink frames were gifted to me by a dear friend . I think she got them from Bromptons in Brighton where I get some if my frames including the red tints! It’s an expensive hobby! X
Good morning Suzi! Loved the vlog today- seeing Brighton, and all the shops, yea Sox the fox came back, and dear Jack, bless him, you will know when the right time comes❤ Your outfit at the end is stellar and loved the winter white coat too! Love from cold and snowy New Hampshire! -Cindy
I watch people in the supermarket every week buying what they think are healthy/plant-based protein bars, smoothies, yogurts plus flavoured water etc not realising that Dextrose, Fructose, Glucose, Lactose, Maltose and Sucrose on the label are just other words for SUGAR. I wish wild animals could be neutered at a certain age: I do feel for them, getting pregnant year in, year out. Wonder if dogs get S.A.D? You looked STUNNING in that green pinafore dress - green really, really suits you. Much love. x

I feel for you regarding Jack, we've all been there and it's really hard. On a lighter note, I love the white coat - I want one!! Xx
loved the winter white coat and checked pinafore take care this horrible weather x
I agree ! The lights should stay up through the long winter to add some sparkle.
Suzi the winter white jacket on you is stunning and it fits you perfectly 😊
Thank you Cheryl! xx

I agree that sometimes matching your top with another pants or skirt makes a difference.
Love the green print top! You look stylish! ❤
Thank you so much Joyce! xx

Yes, Suzi, that’s a wise way to eat, IMO. My body feels best eating like that. Of course, we’re all different and need to know our own bodies, ancestry, etc. Thank you for doing what’s best for.
Yes, thank goodness, very pleased about that! xx
Thank you Sue! Hope you have a good week too xx
Looking lovely Suzi! Nice recipe ideas. You could add beans for protein for your vegan friend ❤
Love watching you be happy and so enthusiastic about everything ❤
Thank you so much! That is so lovely to hear! xx
I have looked into all This for years. Whole food plant based seems to be the way to go, very little processed food especially for heart health
Hi Suzi
This was an amazing amount of content
.Loved it all especially the fashion and the shops in Brighton 😊
I have been vegan for 26 years and i live in Brighton if uou need any pointers where to go for certain foods. I recommend making a chocolate dessert with raw cacao, agave syrup and either avocado flesh or silken tofu (not firm).
I love that blouse at the end with those faux leather pants. I think I love everything Rixo.
Luv luv luv your ‘program’.Will definitely share.❤
Thank you so much Doreen, it's such a massive help when people share. Much appreciated xx
Bless Jack❤️
Loved that white jacket….stunning, also love that blouse you were wearing at the end of the vlog………it’s soup weather here in Toronto….have a great week…….❤. Donna in Toronto
Chin up Suzie. This too shall pass. Love shopping with you.

Love the content this week. I love shopping with you. The white coat is beautiful and looks great on you. I have one similar and feel great wearing it. Have a great week.
Loved the plaid jumper, but I went absolutely bonkers over the winter white coat. It looked beautiful on you. I think it was made for you!!!❤️
Thank you so much Camille! xx
Hi Karin, yes, so pleased about Jack. I'm sorry to hear about your cat though, our furry friends can be such a worry! xx
Lovely video. Absolutely love the winter white coat.
Loved that Winter White coat ! You looked fab in it! Look forward to your next recipe. Wow Sox the fox knows you so well....she is lovely . Hugs to you & Jack
Thank you so much! Sox is so lovely! xx
Greetings…….Buy the green plaid blazer that matches the jumper if u bought jumper 🤔
Such an interesting vlog! Really liked the sleevless green dress with the black turtleneck. I hope you bought it; it looked so warm and cozy. Bless little Jack, so precious and tenacious ❤
Love the silicone shoulder pads. I’m going to look into them!
They are fab! xx
Aww, thank you so much Carol, I do love Jack very much xx
Jack is amazing….your a wonderful dog owner..truly care for him. X
Thank you so much Jacqueline, I do love him very much xx
Love your great hat...the color! The winter white coat!! I hope you bought it :)
The shops there are adorable
Great vlog Suzi loved the coat 😊😊😊
I wonder where Soxy goes. She seems quite tame so she might have made another friend. I am sure she'll be back. Love to little Jack. I hope he isn't in pain. Good luck with him.
Enjoyed the shopping trip. The white coat looks good on you. It's been cold here in Michigan, too. -15 to -30 below! We miss the sun. It did finally appear today. Warm up next week!
Hi lovely, glad you enjoyed. Wow that is cold! Hope it warms up for you soon xx
I do hope you got the winter white jacket ⭐️❤️👏
Great vlog again Suzy ! Loved seeing Brighton .. the coat looks fantastic on you ❤xx
Thank you so much Teresa! Glad you enjoyed xx
Great video, will try the slow cook. Sending Love to you & Jack, my cat was 19 and every time I took him to the vet he suddenly got better! I did know when the time was righ though and I think you will xx
Thank you so much Helen, that is comforting to hear. Your cat lived to a great age! Let me know how you get on with the slow cook xx
Socks so cute, your green beanie looks beautiful on you! Nearly 40 c today in Sydney Australia!
Great vlog Suzi , loved the trip round Brighton. Much love to Jack 🐶xx
Thanks for another fun vlog. The shirt and trouser combo look great together and I love your new pinafore and winter white coat.
Sorry about Jack. ❤
Thank you Eileen xx
You are so awesome...thanks for the video...made my day and you always bring a smile to my face❤
You can buy berries and liquidize them. They're sweet and don't need sugar.
I watched the food doc on Netflix too and it was an eye opener. I have read Chris Van Tulleken book before christmas about upf's and slowly I'm getting better at sorting out the good stuff.
The winter white looks great on you. You should snip in the waist a bit. It's great.
HI SUZI! COULD YOU PLEASE TELL ME WHERE TO GET THOSE 2 BEAUTIFUL WICKER OR BAMBOO??? LOUNGE CEILING SHADES? THEY ARE EXACTLY WHAT I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR!! Yes! Bring on the vegan recipes please🥦
Aww, thank you so much Louise, so many people suffer with this, sorry to hear that you do too. Definitely catch some winter sun xx
@AlternativeAgeing I'm 66 and working full time as a midwife in a busy central London hospital. It's really exhausting and doesn't do much for one's mental health.
Next year I'm definitely going to take your advice.
Darling Suzi...if you're not eating salmon every day it's a good fat. Once or twice a month is fine. No need to give it up entirely.
Hugs
❤❤❤
What a lovely vlog. I love shopping in Brighton.
That green check dress is beautiful on you and the coat. I just bought myself a floor length pink teddy coat from vinted and I’m living in it.
Thinking of you and Jack ❤
Thank you for showing us around a bit of Brighton love!! I really enjoyed it :) I'm from Australia, I haven't been to Brighton but I studied in Sheffield for a bit. I've heard Brighton has a very creative community so I'm interested in checking it out :) Much love and blessings!
I only live 54 miles from Brighton and often cycle to this coastline I've known it all my life and I still love it SO do recommend it 🇬🇧
I enjoyed it too! Really appreciate my city when it's quiet and looking pretty. So glad you enjoyed it. Was the recipe too much at the beginning? x
Hiya Suzi , great vlog! Lovely outfits the coat looks great!
Love your recipes … I’m afraid vegan life isn’t for me but I love veg so I can add as many of those as possible .. i don’t eat red meat but love chicken and fish ..well sourced of course ..fab coat and lovely to see sox back in the vlog and the gorgeous shops …great that Jack is doing good ..bless him ❤️
Thank you Audrey xx
if you start taking vitamin D vitamin each day and dont miss taking them. you will defently feel a difference especially in winter.
Thank you Dawn xx
you are very welcomexx@@AlternativeAgeing
Wow Suzi that green pinafore dress looked fabulous. Did you buy it cant remember if you said ? Really cold in the West Pennine Moors with snow of course. Brighton looks fab and I've never been x
I bought it and am so glad you like. I’ll model it properly when I’m going somewhere in it. Stay warm and send a little snow, I love it instead of the lashing wind and rain we’ve got back today! x
❤
And thank you for the compliment about my skin, will be sharing soon my secret home helper! x
@@AlternativeAgeing Thanks for the tip on what order to eat the food, I didn't know that. Very interesting!
its 40 degrees centigrade in Western Australia. 🥵
My goodness! Stay safe lovely xx
♥♥♥♥
I’ve been vegan for 8 years and have never felt better. Of course vegan food can be unhealthy if you eat the ultra processed food which is why I eat a predominantly whole foods plant based diet with the odd treat here and there.
Animal vegans get all they need by literally eating all day, most human vegans don’t have the time or inclination to do that, which is why processed food is popular. Vegans are typically low on B12, Iodine & iron so supplementation should be considered 👍
i love your channel, i was as always riveted on your updates on jack. I had to have my staffie 14 and a half put to sleep, but i don't think i made the right decision. she has been allergic to beef and milk (no rawhide, no yogurt treats no ordinary treats as they have " animal derivatives" in them which usually means nasty bits of beef!) she was given salycylic acid for an ear infection in lockdown 2020 2 weeks after her 12 birthday and her ears went like a couple of doritos if you had bent them they would have snapped like a dorito! she was deaf 2 weeks later' thing is i taught her commands in hand signals in case she went deaf when she was a puppy and it came in very handy and she learnt new signals for pills and how long they would be,
she was diagnosed with a liver problem in half her liver in 2019 and in 2021 it had spread to her whole liver, she looked like she was pregnant (i had her spayed as a puppy)
she had started shaking tremors laying down and didn't want to go for walks and i took her to the end of my road and round the car park a coiple of times and 3 or 4 times a week was all she could manage. i got her a box covered with an old dog bed cover to assist getting on the sofa next to me and she could only lay there for about 10 minutes before she slid off the sofa and stretched out on the floor, i took her to the vet and i didnt see my usual vet who knew her from 12 weeks old but a young foreign vet who suggested a painkiller (librella) with no side effects and i realise now i should have consulted my usual vet to see if it was ok with her other tablets, she had hypo thyroidism from 12 weeks old on pills twice a day and with the liver problem she had denamarin which was just under £100 a box of 30 tablets a month. i gave her her afternoon egg and bran and she loved that and i saw 2 drops of blood in her bowl when she had finished it half hou after that injection, i thought she had perhaps bit her lip or cheek or tongue, i looked in her mouth but could see nothing, 2 days later i woke at half 6 to see all the side of the bed covered in blood. i didn't give her her pills or breakfast or her denamarin which has to be taken an hour before any other pills or breakfast.
i got to her vet and he gave her an injection i don't know what and said see her saturday (it was thursday) but my daughter 25 said she might have a stroke or bleed out and i have had no car since 2019 so my vet wasn't 24 hour so if something happened i couldn't get her to a vet out of hours, my daughter said have her put to sleep and i didn't want to because i loved her soo much, i'd lost her best friend matching cat tortie 6 weeks earlier they both slept on my bed since my husband died suddenly in 2010 when i was in my 40's. my youngest was 12 years old.
she didn't really have quality of life, before we used to walk miles every day but now she just walked as far as 5 houses down and that did her. she would lay tremoring and that was the begining of the end i could see she was in pain, she had that nose bleed for about 9 hours .
at the vets je put the canula in her front left paw and she sat up and gave a howl and a deep bark the layed down, i hugged her and said the words to her but i was hugging her and as the heart stopper went in i could hear 3 in draws of breath where she was trying to breathe and said loudly its ok its ok. she must have died thinking i was holding her down and she was looking at the vet it was all soooo wrong, she had an awful un necessary death, i'll never forgive myself i should have given her longer! she used to get me up from the sofa every 10 minutes to go out in the garden and stare at the sky after her cat died from 6,30pm to 11,30 pm
all i need are answers to did she have a terrible death and should i have had her put to sleep. the vet wont speak to me i wrote him a letter but he never responded i wake every morning crying and go to sleep every night crying, wishing i would die in the night. she did have problems that she had from 12 weeks found out but started at birth and the vet didn't think she would see 2 let alone 14.5 years. please pray for me and my losses, the family cat fron 2005 died after 2 strokes 9 days apart in the march and the dogs cat died after a 3week diagnosis of a nasal tumour that went to her sinus and brain and round her right eye. the dog missed her and died 6 weeks later my fault, but i had no car, if i had a car i could have kept her alive, but i don't think she had quality of life, love Ellie xxxxxxxxxxxx
Thankyou sooo much xxxxxxxxxx@@AlternativeAgeing
Lovely vlog. Hopefully you got theat lovely winter white coat. Where did you get those fab pink glasses. Luv your specks, so stylish
-Cindy
sorry I meant vegan doesn't really cover it as you can eat Oreo cookies on a vegan diet. flavour seeds for omega 3's.
Much love. x
80% is definitely plant based. Only described as vegan if you're not including any animal products :)
Salmon has Good fat!!
